Book The Kurious Kid Presents Lying Tell The Truth Part 1

Download or read book The Kurious Kid Presents Lying Tell The Truth Part 1 written by Brian Cliette and published by Bull City Publishing. This book was released on 2014-06-05 with total page 29 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Lying is when you say something that isn't true, but convince people it is. For instance, you may tell your mom that your baby brother took the cookie from the cookie jar, when in fact it was you that really took the cookie from the cookie jar. You probably told your mom it was your baby brother (or in some cases baby sister). They took the cookie from the cookie jar so that you wouldn't get in trouble for stealing the cookie before dinnertime. You may not get in trouble for taking the cookie. But if your mom believes you than it will be your baby brother or sister, who gets in trouble for taking the cookie, this is why it is always important to tell the truth, because even though telling a lie may keep you from getting in trouble. It generally means someone else is going to get in trouble for the lie that you told not to mentions have their feelings hurt. Especially the person that the lie was about, and let's not forget the person that you lied to might believe you. The next time you have something to say, this could be bad if it is really important. Like maybe your baby brother fell down the driveway and skinned his knee and your mom won't believe you because you have been lying to her so she thinks you are making up to get some attention or avoid getting in trouble. This also means that your big brother is not getting the help he needs. This kurious kid book will teach your young reader. Why telling the truth and honesty is always the best policy in the human world. And then in several chapters of this 30 page book, they will learn how animals can lie to each other to protect themselves from danger is focused. Filled with unique and engaging information on how insects can make themselves look like butterflies or leaves on a tree. So that the young reader can make correlations between the information they are reading and a visual aid to help them retain the information even better. The Kurious kid has also included trivia questions so that the young reader can quit his friends and family on why telling the truth is so important as well as the various types of lies animals tell to protect themselves from danger. Book excerpt: THE INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER From the author of Survive the Night and Final Girls comes a tense and twisty thriller about a summer camp that’s impossible to forget—no matter how hard you try. Two Truths and a Lie. Vivian, Natalie, Allison, and Emma played it all the time in their cabin at Camp Nightingale. But the games ended the night Emma sleepily watched the others sneak out into the darkness. The last she—or anyone—saw of the teenagers was Vivian closing the cabin door behind her, hushing Emma with a finger pressed to her lips.... Fifteen years later, Emma is a rising star in the New York art scene, turning her past into paintings—massive canvases filled with dark leaves and gnarled branches over ghostly shapes in white dresses. When the paintings catch the attention of the wealthy owner of Camp Nightingale, she implores Emma to come back to the newly reopened camp as a painting instructor. Despite her guilt and anxiety—or maybe because of them—Emma agrees to revisit her past. Nightingale looks the same as it did all those years ago, haunted by a midnight-dark lake and familiar faces. Emma is even assigned to the same cabin she slept in as a teenager, although the security camera pointed at her door is a disturbing new addition. As cryptic clues about the camp's origins begin to surface, Emma attempts to find out what really happened to her friends. But her closure could come at a deadly price.
