Book Thermodynamic Properties of Uranium mercury System

Download or read book Thermodynamic Properties of Uranium mercury System written by and published by . This book was released on 1979 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The EMF values in the fused salt cells of the type U(.cap alpha.)/KCl--LiCl--BaCl2 eutectic, UCl3/U--Hg alloy, for the different two-phase alloys in the uranium--mercury system have been measured and the thermodynamic properties of this system have been calculated. These calculated values are in good agreement with values based on mercury vapor pressure measurements made by previous investigators. The inconsistency of the thermodynamic properties with the phase diagram determined by Frost are also confirmed. A tentative phase diagram based on the thermodynamic properties measured in this work was constructed.

Book Chemical Thermodynamics of Uranium

Download or read book Chemical Thermodynamics of Uranium written by Ingmar Grenthe and published by Elsevier Science & Technology. This book was released on 1992 with total page 744 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume provides a comprehensive overview on the chemical thermodynamics of those elements that are of particular importance in the safety assessment of radioactive waste disposal systems. This is the first volume in a series of critical reviews to be published on this subject. The book provides an extensive compilation of chemical thermodynamic data for uranium. A description of procedures for activity corrections and uncertainty estimates is given. A critical discussion of data needed for nuclear waste management assessments, including areas where significant gaps of knowledge exist is presented. A detailed inventory of chemical thermodynamic data for inorganic compounds and complexes of uranium is listed. Data and their uncertainty limits are recommended for 74 aqueous complexes and 199 solid and 31 gaseous compounds containing uranium, and on 52 aqueous and 17 solid auxiliary species containing no uranium. The data are internally consistent and compatible with the CODATA Key Values. The book contains a detailed discussion of procedures used for activity factor corrections in aqueous solution, as well as including methods for making uncertainty estimates.

Book Update on the Chemical Thermodynamics of Uranium Neptunium Plutonium Americium and Technetium

Download or read book Update on the Chemical Thermodynamics of Uranium Neptunium Plutonium Americium and Technetium written by R. Guillaumont and published by . This book was released on 2003-11-04 with total page 976 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume is part of the series on "Chemical Thermodynamics", published under the aegis of the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency, and updates and expands the thermodynamic data on inorganic compounds and complexes of uranium, neptunium, plutonium, americium and technetium contained in the previous volumes of the series. A review team, composed of seven internationally recognized experts, has critically reviewed during five years all the scientific literature containing chemical thermodynamic information for the above mentioned systems that has appeared since the publication of the earlier volumes. The results of this critical review carried out following the Guidelines of the OECD NEA Thermochemical Database Project have been documented in the present volume, which contains new tables of selected values for formation and reaction thermodynamical properties and an extensive bibliography.

Book Selected Values of Chemical Thermodynamic Properties

Download or read book Selected Values of Chemical Thermodynamic Properties written by D. D. Wagman and published by Forgotten Books. This book was released on 2018-01-05 with total page 162 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from Selected Values of Chemical Thermodynamic Properties: Compounds of Uranium, Protactinium, Thorium, Actinium, and the Alkali Metals The tables contain values where known of the enthalpy and Gibbs energy of formation, enthalpy, entropy and heat capacity at K [25 C], and the enthalpy of formation at 0 K, for all inorganic substances and organic molecules containing not more than two carbon atoms. In some instances such as for metal - organic compounds, data are given for substances in which each organic radical contains one or two carbon atoms.
