Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There I Go Again is a celebrity memoir like no other, revealing the life of a man whose acting career has been so rich that millions of Americans know his face even while they might not recognize his name. William Daniels is an enigma—a rare chameleon who has enjoyed massive success both in Hollywood and on Broadway and been embraced by fans of successive generations. Few of his peers inspire the fervor with which buffs celebrate his most iconic roles, among them George Feeny in Boy Meets World, KITT in Knight Rider, Dr. Mark Craig in St. Elsewhere, and John Adams in the play and film 1776. Daniels guides readers through some of Hollywood’s most cherished productions, offering recollections of entertainment legends including Lauren Bacall, Warren Beatty, Kirk Douglas, Michael Douglas, Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Mike Nichols, Jason Robards, Barbra Streisand, and many more. Looking back on his seventy-five-plus-year career, Daniels realizes that although he never had the courage to say “no” to being an actor, he backed into stardom. With his wife, actress Bonnie Bartlett, by his side, he came to realize that he wound up exactly where he was supposed to be: on the screen and stage.

Book excerpt: America is broken. Dissension, anger, and hopelessness, all describe the political feelings of many Americans. Families and friendships are fractured. Our struggles seem to grow worse with each new election as we hear the same old hype: "This is the most important election of our lifetimes." These realities apply to Christians and non-Christians alike. Yet, aren't Christians supposed to offer hope? Sadly, there's little evidence that Christians have the answers for America's struggles. But there is hope. In "Here We Go Again" an old approach is revisited. Christians are reminded of an unconventional way of living, one that Jesus and his disciples taught and modeled for Christians to follow. In thought-provoking ways, "Here We Go Again" practically applies the truth of Scripture to many of today's most pressing political questions. Should a Christian vote for the lesser of two evils? Is Christianity’s goal to transform culture or to Make America Great Again? How should a Christian treat his political enemies? Can your vote thwart God's will? And more... In "Here We Go Again" you will be challenged to realize that much of what you have been conditioned to believe, might be at odds with Scripture.

Book Should I Go Walkabout Again A Motorhome Adventure

Download or read book Should I Go Walkabout Again A Motorhome Adventure written by John Timms and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2018-11-10 with total page 426 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: After expressing my doubts and fears about leaving my comfort zone on the Gold Coast, in order to venture the road in an ageing motorhome in unfamiliar territory for an undefined destination, I reflected on that last long journey. We had experienced breakdowns, bad weather, boredom, relentless distance, but also saw breathtaking scenery, interesting people and the delight of the changing panorama day by day. There were times though when I wanted to get the next flight home. After our first adventure nineteen months ago, we felt ready for the road again. On our last journey we never got further than Melbourne, encountering the winter weather down south after a hot journey down the coast of New South Wales, We had scurried back north to the tropics in North Queensland having been too used to the warmer climate of Queensland. This time we decided to do ‘The Big Lap’ by road from Queensland up north through to the Northern Territory and coastal Western Australia, coastal South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and back to Queensland’s Gold Coast - anticlockwise. It is better to travel this direction from east to west to take advantage of prevailing winds, avoid ‘The Big Wet’ monsoon weather up north and get back down south before the onset of the northern Summer. We have included fifty color photos from our collection together with maps and a listing of the road route taken. This diary commences with a short trip to Queensland’s Sunshine Coast with a stop on the Gold Coast. The big journey took us up to Rockhampton and across central Queensland via Longreach and Mt. Isa. We continued down to Tennant Creek in Northern Territory to Uluru, then back up via Katherine to Darwin. From Darwin we travelled back down to Katherine across to Western Australia’s Kununurra, and Broome down the coast to Perth, Margaret River and Bremer Bay on the south coast. This completed the first part of the lap around Australia. Diary 3 completes the second half of ‘The Big Lap’ back to Queensland and exploration of Tasmania. Book I Wanna Go Again

Download or read book I Wanna Go Again written by Joe Best and published by Ascendere Publishing. This book was released on 2005 with total page 203 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 'I Wanna Go Again!' is the single, heartfelt sentence that all travellers whisper to themselves as they stumble, stunned and suffering that awful sense of anti-climax, back through Arrivals at airports, train stations and ports, all over the world, as they return wearily home. Every reader and every traveller will relate to Joe Best's humorous story, told in his own unique, down-to-earth, blokey style. The book is hot, fresh, young and funky and based on the diaries of Joe's maiden voyage. Before leaving the security of Berkshire at the age of 24 he had worked for an accounting firm and been bored senseless by the meaningless of his life. He needed to escape his reality and create a new one. But when he and a group of young friends set off travelling the world on a 12 month adventure, full of trepidation, naïve and innocent, armed only with Joe's sensible sterilisation cup (given to him by his sensible Mum), he has no idea if they will all make it back safely. (Although, to be fair, he has read a variety of books about daring SAS exploits, and he is hoping for the best). Through their wild journey, Joe and the boys develop a strong and lasting camaraderie; they have no real options, but if they set out as friends they return as life long soul mates, having shared some very odd, cathartic experiences. Joe eventually settled down to write his lush travel memoir almost 10 years after making it back to Taplow and his Mum. He explains, "Travelling does not need to be daunting. It changes everything, and gives you the confidence to get on with the rest of your life. The memories last fresh for ever."
