Book Theism the Philadelphia Theory

Download or read book Theism the Philadelphia Theory written by Kurt Bakley and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2020-08-17 with total page 428 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Did creation happen in the beginning by a homosexual union? Does the sun and the whole Universe run on the principle of homosexuality? Does the Bible tell of God and angels in heaven having dresses and bras because they are transsexuals and a hermaphrodite? Are the 144,000 witnesses of God in Revelation chapters 7 and 14 homosexuals? Is part of God literally a dunghill? Does part of God speak profanity? After the end of this world will we all go to live on a new earth with the New Jerusalem filled with homosexuals and lawless, and outside its gates are the religious? Did God make a new covenant in these last days that allows homosexuals and all people into His kingdom forever? Will the Lord God at that time be there as a Hermaphrodite (she/male) as the joining of the two (good and evil) so all may live forever in peace and joy, which the Bible predicted as the wedding of Christ and His bride? Were all the wisdom and teaching and prophecies of the end time antichrist and evil reversed? That in the end times the real evil is religion and that at the end the New Jerusalem is free and lawless? Was the main part of satan all along that of a religious spirit and was always testing and not tempting? Were words given to explain God have the meaning that He is a God for all races, cultures, ways of life and religions and even the non-religious? Are Gentiles children of devils? Are we all Jewish? For all the details read the whole book: Theism The Philadelphia Theory: One word that answers all things for all to know. This book was finished by April 13, 2018 A.D.

Book Naturalism Theism and the Cognitive Study of Religion

Download or read book Naturalism Theism and the Cognitive Study of Religion written by Dr Aku Visala and published by Ashgate Publishing, Ltd.. This book was released on 2013-06-28 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book provides a critical philosophical analysis of the claim that contemporary cognitive approaches to religion undermine theistic beliefs. Recent scientific work into the evolution and cognition of religion has been driven by and interpreted in terms of a certain kind of philosophical and methodological naturalism. The book argues that such naturalism is not necessary for the cognitive study of religion and develops an alternative philosophical and methodological framework. This alternative framework opens the cognitive study of religion to theological and philosophical considerations and clarifies its relationship to other approaches to religious phenomena. This unique contribution to discussions regarding the philosophical and theological implications of the cognitive study of religion summarizes the so far fragmentary discussion, exposes its underlying assumptions, and develops a novel framework for further discussion.

Book Religion and Morality

  • Author : William J. Wainwright
  • Publisher : Routledge

  • Pages : 275 pages

Download or read book Religion and Morality written by William J. Wainwright and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2017-03-02 with total page 275 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Religion and Morality addresses central issues arising from religion's relation to morality. Part I offers a sympathetic but critical appraisal of the claim that features of morality provide evidence for the truth of religious belief. Part II examines divine command theories, objections to them, and positive arguments in their support. Part III explores tensions between human morality, as ordinarily understood, and religious requirements by discussing such issues as the conflict between Buddhist and Christian pacifism and requirements of justice, whether 'virtue' without a love of God is really a vice, whether the God of the Abrahamic religions could require us to do something that seems clearly immoral, and the ambiguous relations between religious mysticism and moral behavior. Covering a broad range of topics, this book draws on both historical and contemporary literature, and explores afresh central issues of morality and religion offering new insights for students, academics and the general reader interested in philosophy and religion.

Book A Moral Ontology for a Theistic Ethic

Download or read book A Moral Ontology for a Theistic Ethic written by Frank G. Kirkpatrick and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2017-11-22 with total page 214 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This title was first published in 2003. This book develops a moral ontology for a theistic ethic that engages the work of contemporary moral and political philosophers, and reaffirms the relevance of a theistic tradition of God's relation to the world reflected in the fundamental teachings of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Drawing on recent thought in the non-religious fields of psychology and political and moral philosophy, which build around the concept of human flourishing in community, Kirkpatrick argues that a theistic ethic need not be the captive of parochial or sectarian theological camps. He proposes a common or universal ethic that transcends the fashionable ethnocentric 'incommensurate differences' in morality alleged by many post-modern deconstructionists. In the wake of ethnic religious strife post September 11th 2001, this book argues for a common morality built on the inclusivity of love, community, and justice that can transcend sectarian and parochial boundaries.

Book Social Theory and the Study of Israelite Religion

Download or read book Social Theory and the Study of Israelite Religion written by Saul M. Olyan and published by Society of Biblical Lit. This book was released on 2012-06-22 with total page 231 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume assesses past, theoretically engaged work on Israelite religion and presents new approaches to particular problems and larger interpretive and methodological questions. It gathers previously unpublished research by senior and mid-career scholars well known for their contributions in the area of social theory and the study of Israelite religion and by junior scholars whose writing is just beginning to have a serious impact on the field. The volume begins with a critical introduction by the editor. Topics of interest to the contributors include gender, violence, social change, the festivals, the dynamics of shame and honor, and the relationship of text to ritual. The contributors engage theory from social and cultural anthropology, sociology, postcolonial studies, and ritual studies. Theoretical models are evaluated in light of the primary data, and some authors modify or adapt theory to increase its utility for biblical studies. The contributors are Susan Ackerman, Stephen L. Cook, Ronald Hendel, T. M. Lemos, Nathaniel B. Levtow, Carol Meyers, Saul M. Olyan, Rüdiger Schmitt, Robert R. Wilson, and David P. Wright.
