Book excerpt: Madman, tyrant, animal—history has given Adolf Hitler many names. In Mein Kampf (My Struggle), often called the Nazi bible, Hitler describes his life, frustrations, ideals, and dreams. Born to an impoverished couple in a small town in Austria, the young Adolf grew up with the fervent desire to become a painter. The death of his parents and outright rejection from art schools in Vienna forced him into underpaid work as a laborer. During the First World War, Hitler served in the infantry and was decorated for bravery. After the war, he became actively involved with socialist political groups and quickly rose to power, establishing himself as Chairman of the National Socialist German Worker's party. In 1924, Hitler led a coalition of nationalist groups in a bid to overthrow the Bavarian government in Munich. The infamous Munich "Beer-hall putsch" was unsuccessful, and Hitler was arrested. During the nine months he was in prison, an embittered and frustrated Hitler dictated a personal manifesto to his loyal follower Rudolph Hess. He vented his sentiments against communism and the Jewish people in this document, which was to become Mein Kampf, the controversial book that is seen as the blue-print for Hitler's political and military campaign. In Mein Kampf, Hitler describes his strategy for rebuilding Germany and conquering Europe. It is a glimpse into the mind of a man who destabilized world peace and pursued the genocide now known as the Holocaust.

Download or read book 666 Adolf Hitler Quotes written by Arthur Austen Douglas and published by UB Tech. This book was released on with total page 158 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 666 ADOLF HITLER QUOTES This is the person who is considered as the evilest personality of the 20th Century AD. Yes, this book is about Adolf Hitler. Check anyone's listing of top ten cruel people in whole history, I bet you will find him anywhere around the mid of the list, sometimes as the crown holder too. But wait a minute, is that exaggerated. Our history is molded underneath the wishes of those who created it. Anyhow, for Germany, he is the person who picked her hand and took her out of the great depression and savages of the days following the end of First World War, and the person who lifted her up as one of the strongest nation in the globe during buffer between the first two World Wars. A person without any charismatic quality can't perform this act. Off course Hitler owned many superior traits which acted as the ingredient for making of the 'Fuhrer' and let him showcase a great leadership throughout his ascendance. In this 'Ultimate Collection' Series, Book No.006, '666 Adolf Hitler Quotes', the number 666 is denoted with a negative touch considering his historic image of the holocaust and toughness. There are six hundred and sixty six quotes of Hitler in this book for you to read on. The number 666 itself is mentioned as 'Number of the Beast'. And with much surprise it was accidently taken as the 6th book of the 'Ultimate Collection' Series without pre-planning, just a coincidence, only discovered after the book was complied and was for publishing. As you would had noted by now, without much inspiration and motivation inside, Adolf Hitler won't be able to accomplish the epic task of rebuilding Germany to much higher levels than anyone imagined. His words reflect it, and this is now for you to pick out the positive aspects and concepts from his insight and vision. When you go through this book, remember, you are wandering through the unlaced thoughts a bizarre human marvel of the modern age.

Her stay in Germany was to last only two years, but instead spanned over twelve years, until the end of World War II. She is appalled by the treatment of the Jews and the policies of the Nazi regime. She begs her friend, Anna, who is Jewish, to get out of Germany. Carin wonders why the German people put up with Hitler and the atrocities of the SS. She criticizes their willful ignorance, but discovers that she too is guilty of hiding her head in the sand. Carin falls in love with Peter and then finds out that he is a high-ranking officer in the SS. He confesses his love for her and asks her to wait for him until after the war. As a Christian, she knows that the relationship must end. Standing by while the horrific events unfold around her does not sit well with Carins conscience, but why get involved when Germany is not her country? She is a Christian, not a Jew. And what can one person do? Will she join the Resistance, knowing the risks?

Book Hitler on the Jews

Download or read book Hitler on the Jews written by Adolf Hitler and published by . This book was released on 2019-04-04 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: That Adolf Hitler spoke out against the Jews is banal in the extreme. But that this is the first book ever to compile his remarks on the Jews is nothing short of astonishing. Of the thousands of books and articles written on Hitler, World War Two and the Holocaust, virtually none of them quote Hitler's exact words on the Jews--virtually none. The reason for this is clear: Those in positions of influence in media, government and universities have an incentive to present a simplistic and highly-sanitized picture of Hitler as an insane Jew-hater, a blood-thirsty tyrant and the embodiment of evil. This caricature of the truth is extremely useful--if for no other reason than to batter all "racists," "neo-Nazis," "anti-Semites," "bigots," and generally anyone unfriendly to Jewish, Zionist, or Israeli interests. This caricaturization, in turn, only works if the public is presented with a carefully-controlled and manipulated view of Hitler's take on the Jews. His real words and his actual ideas are far more complex and sophisticated than most authorities would like you to think. Hitler was an intelligent and well-read man. He had a broad and largely-accurate knowledge of history, culture, religion, human biology, and social evolution. His knowledge, depth, and insight put to shame most any present-day world leader. But this fact does not suit those in power today. They need the public to think of him as a semi-literate, foaming-at-the-mouth demagogue. And to accomplish this goal, they need to ensure that no one reads his actual words. Until now, they have succeeded. Now, for the first time, this objective has been defeated. Here, one can read nearly every idea that Hitler put forth about the Jews, in considerable detail and in full context. This book is not merely of historical interest. It's not just for experts and specialists in World War Two. Hitler's analysis of the Jews, though hostile, is erudite, detailed, and largely aligns with events of past decades. There are many lessons here for the modern-day world. Thomas Dalton, PhD, is author, editor, and translator of several books and articles on Hitler, the Holocaust, and National Socialism. His books include Debating the Holocaust (2015), The Holocaust: An Introduction (2016), and the forthcoming works Eternal Strangers: A Critical History of Jews and Judaism (2020); The Jewish Hand in the World Wars (2020); and Goebbels on the Jews (2020). Dr. Dalton has also produced new translations of Mein Kampf, and edited a compilation work, The Essential Mein Kampf (2019).

Book Inside the Third Reich

Book excerpt: 'INSIDE THE THIRD REICH is not only the most significant personal German account to come out of the war but the most revealing document on the Hitler phenomenon yet written. It takes the reader inside Nazi Germany on four different levels: Hitler's inner circle, National Socialism as a whole, the area of wartime production and the inner struggle of Albert Speer. The author does not try to make excuses, even by implication, and is unrelenting toward himself and his associates... Speer's full-length portrait of Hitler has unnerving reality. The Fuhrer emerges as neither an incompetent nor a carpet-gnawing madman but as an evil genius of warped conceits endowed with an ineffable personal magic' NEW YORK TIMES

Book He Was My Chief

Download or read book He Was My Chief written by Christa Schroeder and published by Casemate Publishers. This book was released on 2009-08-19 with total page 313 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “A rare and fascinating insight into Hitler’s inner circle.” —Roger Moorhouse, author of Killing Hitler As secretary to the Führer throughout the time of the Third Reich, Christa Schroeder was perfectly placed to observe the actions and behavior of Hitler, along with the most important figures surrounding him. Schroeder’s memoir delivers fascinating insights: she notes his bourgeois manners, his vehement abstemiousness, and his mood swings. Indeed, she was ostracized by Hitler for a number of months after she made the mistake of publicly contradicting him once too often. In addition to her portrayal of Hitler, there are illuminating anecdotes about Hitler’s closest colleagues. She recalls, for instance, that the relationship between Martin Bormann and his brother Albert, who was on Hitler’s personal staff, was so bad that the two would only communicate with one another via their respective adjutants, even if they were in the same room. There is also light shed on the peculiar personal life and insanity of Reichsminister Walther Darré. Schroeder claims to have known nothing of the horrors of the Nazi regime. There is nothing of the sense of perspective or the mea culpa that one finds in the memoirs of Hitler’s other secretary, Traudl Junge, who concluded “we should have known.” Rather, the tone that pervades Schroeder’s memoir is one of bitterness. This is, without any doubt, one of the most important primary sources from the prewar and wartime period.
