Book The wisdom of the Freemasonry

Download or read book The wisdom of the Freemasonry written by Albert Mackey and published by FilRougeViceversa. This book was released on 2021-02-04 with total page 430 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Of the various modes of communicating instruction to the uninformed, the masonic student is particularly interested in two; namely, the instruction by legends and that by symbols. It is to these two, almost exclusively, that he is indebted for all that he knows, and for all that he can know, of the philosophic system which is taught in the institution. All its mysteries and its dogmas, which constitute its philosophy, are intrusted for communication to the neophyte, sometimes to one, sometimes to the other of these two methods of instruction, and sometimes to both of them combined. The Freemason has no way of reaching any of the esoteric teachings of the Order except through the medium of a legend or a symbol.

Book The Path of Freemasonry

Download or read book The Path of Freemasonry written by Mark Stavish and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2021-09-28 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: • Shares the history and meaning of Freemasonry and its symbols • Offers thoughtful explorations of different areas of Masonic experience, drawing on esoteric doctrines and paralleling them with experiences found in daily life • Provides simple exercises and practices to help internalize and personalize the lessons presented, including dreamwork, journaling, meditation, and prayer In this practical guide, Mark Stavish details the spiritual lessons and rituals of Freemasonry as a step-by-step path of spiritual development and self-improvement for both Masons and non-Masons, men and women, alike. He explores the history and meaning of Freemasonry and its symbols--from its origins in the Temple of Solomon to the Medieval craft guilds to the Renaissance--and explains how the Craft promotes personal growth through the symbolic building of self and an inner Temple of Wisdom in much the same way that Masonry’s rituals symbolize the building of Solomon’s Temple in accordance with the mystical architectural instructions of Hiram. Drawing on esoteric doctrines, including the Qabala, alchemy, sacred geometry, John Dee’s angelic magic, and the secrets of the Gothic cathedral builders, each chapter addresses an area of the Masonic experience, paralleling them with experiences each of us finds in our own lives. The author provides simple practices to help internalize and personalize the lessons presented, including dreamwork, journaling, meditation, prayer, and understanding sacred architecture. The author also examines the crafting and use of the spiritual and symbolic tools of Freemasonry, such as the trestle or tracing board and the Chamber of Reflection. Providing the tools to make the Craft an initiatic experience of self-improvement, the author shows that, ultimately, the Masonic experience is the human quest for self-realization and self-expression, so that we each may find our place in the Temple of Wisdom.

Book The Lost Keys Of Freemasonry The Sacred Books

Download or read book The Lost Keys Of Freemasonry The Sacred Books written by Manly P. Hall and published by Jazzybee Verlag. This book was released on 2012 with total page 85 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Freemasonry, though not a religion, is essentially religious. Most of its legends and allegories are of a sacred nature; much of it is woven into the structure of Christianity. We have learned to consider our own religion as the only inspired one, and this probably accounts for much of the misunderstanding in the world today concerning the place occupied by Freemasonry in the spiritual ethics of our race. A religion is a divinely inspired code of morals. A religious person is one inspired to nobler living by this code. He is identified by the code which is his source of illumination. Thus we may say that a Christian is one who receives his spiritual ideals of right and wrong from the message of the Christ, while a Buddhist is one who molds his life into the archetype of morality given by the great Gautama, or one of the other Buddhas. All doctrines which seek to unfold and preserve that invisible spark in man named Spirit, are said to be spiritual. Those which ignore this invisible element and concentrate entirely upon the visible are said to be material. There is in religion a wonderful point of balance, where the materialist and spiritist meet on the plane of logic and reason. Book In Search of Wisdom in Freemasonry

Download or read book In Search of Wisdom in Freemasonry written by James Safo and published by . This book was released on 2019-05-19 with total page 630 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In Search of Wisdom in Freemasonry is more than 540 pages and it covers more than 64 chapters and many illustrations, is compiled by me as Past Right worshipful master and I ruled different lodges over 20 years. It also has about 50 of frequent ask questions with answers and gives insight into the progression from when a person joined the freemasonry as an enter apprentice and how the person progress through the higher ranks. Without doubts, Freemasonry is the oldest international society Over the years most of the members had been persecuted in the world, which explain one of the reason some member with integrity and wisdom don't declare openly their affiliation. It is a system of morality veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols with a mysterious reputation. It is sometimes referred to as Masonry, the Brotherhood or the Craft. Therefore, many people are curious to know all about this society which dominates the whole world. This publication contains most of the important symbols and the meaning that one expects in the Freemasons, whereas some symbols are regarded as secret because of the design and the meaning. It also highlights the issue people perception of Freemasonry, example dodgy handshake, body language communication. This book highlights some of the duties of the officers in the lodges and also gives names of some past masters who had been in the very high position in the world including presidents, prime ministers, general artists among others in the society who earned honour and respect. This publication hopefully brings a more public understanding of this society's doctrine. It is not a secret society. The social media has disclosed most of the doctrines into the public. This includes their rules, constitutions, rituals, and ceremonies. It is an organization with secrets just like any other societies, cabinet ministers or even partners. Freemasonry has played major roles in world peace and has prevented a third World War. Most of the superpowers' leaders are affiliated to the freemasonry order and this has prevented people from fighting against each brother. I can categorically say that Freemasonry is not a satanic religion, they do not practice occult in fact, in most lodges, the opening of lodge simultaneously opens a holy book which could be the Bible Quran etc, depend on the majority of the members present and the letter "G" denote God in most cases hang above the Alter. The responsibility of the officers of the lodge might be slightly different according to the working of specific lodges.

Book The Hidden Life in Freemasonry

Download or read book The Hidden Life in Freemasonry written by Charles Webster Leadbeater and published by Jazzybee Verlag. This book was released on 1926 with total page 418 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Masonic fellowship differs from all other societies in that candidates for membership have to join it blindfold, and cannot receive much information about it until they actually enter its ranks. Even then the majority of Masons usually obtain only the most general idea of the meaning of its ceremonies, and seldom penetrate further than an elementary moral interpretation of its principal symbols. In this book it is the object, while preserving due secrecy upon those matters which must be kept secret, to explain something of the deeper meaning and purpose of Freemasonry, in the hope of arousing among the Brn. a more profound reverence for that of which they are the custodians and a fuller understanding of the mysteries of the Craft. Although the book is primarily intended for the instruction of members of the Co-Masonic Order, whose desire, as is expressed in their ritual, is to pour the waters of esoteric knowledge into the Masonic vessels, the author hopes nevertheless that it may appeal to a wider circle, and may perhaps be of use to some of those many Brn. in the masculine Craft who are seeking for a deeper interpretation of Masonic symbolism than is given in the majority of their Lodges, showing them that in the ritual which they know and love so well are enshrined splendid ideals and deep spiritual teachings which are of the most absorbing interest to the student of the inner side of life.
