Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The first edition (1995) of the "Whole Kitten Caboodle" lists every "Kitten" in the world and All Kittens are directly related. We have traced our roots to 1100 A. D.. All of the Kitten Surname have traced their roots to Ibbenburen, West Germany with their address "From Kitte To Hollenberke", Cousin Reinhold Kitten lives on this land which has been owned by the Kitten Family since the 1100's. The name "Kitte" in German means CEMENT. The mountain is being mined even today for coal and cement products. Some German plurals are often formed by adding an "n" so one could say that the name "Kitten" could easily be translated as "the people from Kitte." The second edition has the original 360 page book "The Whole Kitten Caboodle"and most exciting of all is JERRY'S version of the family tree and who inspires and motivates the FAMILY. My 84 pages include such items as bravery and fear, how close are they, a challenge is not required, our wisdom comes from challenges and wisdom is actually the ability to DISCERN DIFFERENCE. And lastly our ancestors searched for a better life and Jerry's question to you is: When did you receive that desire to search for a better life?

Book Free Spirit

Download or read book Free Spirit written by Joshua Safran and published by Hachette Books. This book was released on 2013-09-10 with total page 251 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An Unforgettable Journey Through an Unconventional Childhood When Joshua Safran was four years old, his mother--determined to protect him from the threats of nuclear war and Ronald Reagan -- took to the open road with her young son, leaving the San Francisco countercultural scene behind. Together they embarked on a journey to find a utopia they could call home. InFree Spirit, Safran tells the harrowing, yet wryly funny story of his childhood chasing this perfect life off the grid--and how they survived the imperfect one they found instead. Encountering a cast of strange and humorous characters along the way, Joshua spends his early years living in a series of makeshift homes, including shacks, teepees, buses, and a lean-to on a stump. His colorful youth darkens, however, when his mother marries an alcoholic and abusive guerrilla/poet. Throughout it all, Joshua yearns for a "normal" life, but when he finally reenters society through school, he finds "America" a difficult and confusing place. Years spent living in the wilderness and discussing Marxism have not prepared him for the Darwinian world of teenagers, and he finds himself bullied and beaten by classmates who don't share his mother's belief about reveling in one's differences. Eventually, Joshua finds the strength to fight back against his tormentors, both in school and at home, and helps his mother find peace. But Free Spirit is more than just a coming-of-age story. It is also a journey of the spirit, as he reconnects with his Jewish roots; a tale of overcoming adversity; and a captivating read about a childhood unlike any other.

Book The Everlasting Story of Nory

Download or read book The Everlasting Story of Nory written by Nicholson Baker and published by Vintage. This book was released on 2011-08-24 with total page 242 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Our supreme fabulist of the ordinary now turns his attention on a 9-year-old American girl and produces a novel as enchantingly idiosyncratic as any he has written. Nory Winslow wants to be a dentist or a designer of pop-up books. She likes telling stories and inventing dolls. She has nightmares about teeth, which may explain her career choice. She is going to school in England, where she is mocked for her accent and her friendship with an unpopular girl, and she has made it through the year without crying. Nicholson Baker follows Nory as she interacts with her parents and peers, thinks about God and death-watch beetles, and dreams of cows with pointed teeth. In this precocious child he gives us a heroine as canny and as whimsical as Lewis Carroll's Alice and evokes childhood in all its luminous weirdness.

Book A Schizophrenic S Notes

  • Author : Thomas Griffith
  • Publisher : Xlibris Corporation
  • Release : 2011-12-12
  • ISBN : 1469135485
  • Pages : 278 pages

Download or read book A Schizophrenic S Notes written by Thomas Griffith and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2011-12-12 with total page 278 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I could have written stories, fables, anecdotes, etc., like so many authors have. But when I am reading fiction, I often wish I knew what the author was really trying to say. I didnt want a long distance runaround. Rather I wanted the plain and simple directions to the destination s/he had in mind. I dont believe the genius is in the details, but in getting the message across. So I wrote down what I know, not what my imagination could spin or weave with it. I tried to be clear and to stay on the subject. I tried to be lyrical, heavy and familiar. In this book, A Schizophrenics Notes, I often write about inner space, and the risks inherent to connecting with others, or of failing to connect with others, with our inner space. As much as I would have liked to have given the reader a handle or steering wheel to hold on to, that didnt happen. I certainly dont have a handle. One of my favorite lines in my writing is a Buddhist one, The way that can be described isnt the Way.
