With Verbs of motion, to is not a sign of the dative, and therefore a with the disjunctive Pronoun is used. Il courut a moi, not il me courut. 48. There are other cases in which the disjunctive form is used, viz., after prepositions and conjunctions, in exclamations, and in general, whenever the Pronoun is neither the subject nor one of the objects of the Verb.
