We want to be used by Him and to experience the peace and fulfillment He wants for us. Yet it’s all too easy to fall into living mechanically, with a rule-based approach to the Christian life, or to focus on getting what we want when we want it. Even when we want to be willing, saying yes to whatever God asks often feels scary, and the distractions of this world get in the way. Vivian Mabuni knows this all too well, but she’s discovered that open-handed living starts with an intentional posture of the heart. Through surrender to His will, we draw closer to God in a way that makes our day-to-day lives more purposeful, powerful, and pleasing to Him. With Vivian’s warm encouragement in Open Hands, Willing Heart, you’ll learn how to step out in courageous trust as you invite God to give and take—and move and work—in your life as He sees fit. Along the way you’ll discover true joy and serenity that will carry you through every circumstance.

Book Tuu Here

Download or read book Tuu Here written by Mary Barbee and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2010-04 with total page 678 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Moving to Africa in 1979, from rural, small town Mississippi was a leap of faith and a catalyst for great adventure. With graduation from college looming and looking for direction, a Peace Corps flier crosses Mary Duncan’s path. Mary volunteers to teach Cameroonians how to grow fish for food by building fish ponds in Cameroon. After four months of training, she is assigned to a very isolated post in Yoko. She must adapt to a French speaking, half Muslim world without electricity and plumbing. For the first year, the only other volunteers in the area are a 12 hour bush taxi ride away. Mary gains a unique view of what life is really like in Yoko, where the local tribe, the “Bavuté”, speaks their own patois (language) and are happy to share their opinions on a wide range of topics including homosexuality, polygamy, nuclear bomb programs and whether or not pygmies are indeed human. The first year Mary is occupied with work and survival: learning how to live without modern conveniences, communicate with the locals, and with very little to eat. During the second year, as the locals begin to know and trust her, she gets to look under the surface and discovers not everything is as innocent as it seems. On this journey to the third world, Mary learns as much about herself as she does of the people around her. Mary’s cross-cultural experience attests the commonalities of human beings on higher levels than the boundaries we build between us, and that many challenges that we face are universal: the need for shelter, friendship, and fish. For those thinking to joining the Peace Corps or those looking to travel abroad on a road less traveled, this book can give you honest insight into what you can expect on your own journey.

Book E Volution Is a Fraud It s Nothing More Than a Religion

Download or read book E Volution Is a Fraud It s Nothing More Than a Religion written by Elder JimmyJay Biggs Junior and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2009-06-11 with total page 134 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is about evolution as opposed to what it really says and what it really means. There is no proof, facts, or evidence to support evolution and for the most part the scientists that support this ideology have no real foundation from on which to stand. This book instructs and gives proof, facts, and evidence that shows evolution is nothing more than someone's belief. In the face of reality one chooses the perception of reality, this is fine within their vernacular. However, in the real world one needs tangible PFE in order to excavate one's ideas other wise they are only engaging in religious enthusiasm, even though, that's fine one can believe in what one wants to however, reality is unlike the perception of reality this book chooses not the latter.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Joe Manning owned a good-size ranch outside of a small town in Virginia, and he was plowing one day close to his house. He was getting ready to plant a garden patch for the family to use for their livelihood. Three men came along the road. All three had sidearms and one man had a rifle. He shot Joe in the back while Joe was trying to get to the house to get his rifle and defend his family. Then they killed his wife and young daughter, burned the house down around them, and left Joe in his yard bleeding to death. Joe, who cared deeply about people, was the first person in the community to volunteer to help everyone who was in need. Joe, with his wife at one time or another, had entertained in their home all the people in the area. Who could have shot poor Joe Manning in the back twice and destroyed his family and house? What is going on around here? This has always been a nice area of the country. I wonder who is behind all this killing. Why would they kill his wife and daughter, and why would they have burned down his nice house? This is really a mystery. I wonder if Joe will survive. The doctor does not think so. I wonder what the sheriff is doing about it. He does not seem to have a clue. Will anyone else have to die before we find out who the culprits are?
