Book The Way for Mankind Book Two

Download or read book The Way for Mankind Book Two written by jean-marie Paglia and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2011-10-26 with total page 224 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is an analysis of our world's present condition seen from a spiritual vantage point. This holistic view exposes the major problems we face: arms budgets, twisted democracy, nuclear energy, overpopulation, giant cities, etc. and allows us to consider what the solutions might be. We cannot do this without the coherent and unified vision of the world that can be found in the tradition of Tao. This ageless wisdom offers a profound and little-known understanding of the origin and structure of the world. It gives us the means to understand what we are, what our destiny might be and how we might best live. Among the leads to follow to get us out of the mess we have created is the realization that our way of thinking is flawed when we restrict ourselves to rational thought at the expense of the mystical intimations necessary to save us and for us to be truly ourselves.

Book The Allies of Humanity Book Two

Download or read book The Allies of Humanity Book Two written by Marshall Vian Summers and published by New Knowledge Library. This book was released on 2013-09-28 with total page 96 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This second set of Briefings from The Allies of Humanity completes a crucial message regarding our vulnerability and potential within the Greater Community, the larger physical universe in which we live. Communicated by a small group of extraterrestrial observers, the Briefings reveal the true nature and purpose of an extraterrestrial Intervention that has been underway in our world for quite some time. This group of observers represents the Allies of Humanity, an association of free races in the universe who support the preservation of Knowledge and freedom throughout the Greater Community. The Allies distinguish themselves from the intervening forces that are here by maintaining their distance and not engaging directly with us. Instead, they offer us their wisdom about the realities of life in the universe and a warning about the dangers and consequences of premature human /ET contact. The arrival of The Allies Briefings was the result of a rare convergence of three powerful forces: the extraterrestrial, the Divine and the human. It was these essential forces that joined to enable The Allies Briefings to be delivered in a form and in a language that can be understood by everyday people. In this one book, each of these voices is represented: the extraterrestrial in the Allies Briefings, the Divine in the Teachers’ Commentaries and the human in the Message from Marshall Vian Summers. It was in December 2000 that Marshall received the entire six briefings of The Allies of Humanity Book Two: Human Unity, Freedon and the Hidden Reality of Contact within 24 hours. The Briefings were delivered very quickly for a reason. The Allies, threatened with being discovered by the Intervention, had to give their second set of Briefings to Marshall as quickly as possible before escaping to a distant location far from our Solar System. The Allies describe this situation in their Preface to the Second Set of Briefings, which is included in this volume. Since that time, Marshall, along with the support of a growing number of courageous people, has endeavored to study and to bring The Allies of Humanity Briefings and message to the attention of as many people as possible. This ongoing work represents a vital mission and relies upon the contributions of readers everywhere in order to continue. Whether or not any further Briefings will be sent here by the Allies is as yet uncertain. But what is certain is that the information contained in these two sets of Briefings provides the missing pieces to our understanding of the extraterrestrial presence in the world today and what we must do to begin to prepare. The Allies emphasize that these Briefings provide us everything that we need to know to begin this preparation with a clear understanding of our situation. We cannot afford to make the same mistakes that so many native peoples have made throughout the course of our own human history regarding their first encounters with explorers from the outside. We at New Knowledge Library are proud to be able to present what may prove to be one of the most important documents ever published for the advancement, well-being and future of humanity. We recognize that some people may reject this information out of hand because of its possible association with “channeled” ET messages. However, given the high degree of his personal integrity and the extraordinary quality and relevance of his writings, Marshall’s work stands apart. Truly, the revelations that have come to us through his work may ultimately prove to be as significant as other Divinely-inspired messages in the past that have impacted the course of human history. We encourage you the reader to seriously explore the crucial message presented in all of these Briefings, in both Book One and Book Two, and to share this message with others. These Briefings represent a unique and greatly needed communication to all the people of our world at this critical turning point. New Knowledge Library

Book The Allies of Humanity Book One

Download or read book The Allies of Humanity Book One written by Marshall Vian Summers and published by New Knowledge Library. This book was released on 2013-09-28 with total page 191 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Allies of Humanity is being presented to prepare people for a whole new reality that is largely hidden and unrecognized in the world today. It provides a new perspective that empowers people to face the greatest challenge and opportunity that we, as a race, have ever encountered. The Allies Briefings contain a number of critical if not alarming statements about the growing extraterrestrial intervention and integration into the human race and about the extraterrestrial activities and hidden agenda. The purpose of the Allies Briefings is not to provide hard evidence about the reality of the ET visitation to our world, which is already well documented in many other fine books and research journals on the subject. The purpose of the Allies Briefings is to address the dramatic and far-reaching implications of this phenomenon, to challenge our human tendencies and assumptions regarding it and to alert the human family to the great threshold we now face. The Briefings provide a glimpse into the reality of intelligent life in the universe and what Contact will really mean. For many readers, what is revealed in The Allies of Humanity will be entirely new. For others, it will be a confirmation of things they have long felt and known.

Book The Dawn of Everything

Download or read book The Dawn of Everything written by David Graeber and published by Farrar, Straus and Giroux. This book was released on 2021-11-09 with total page 384 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER A dramatically new understanding of human history, challenging our most fundamental assumptions about social evolution—from the development of agriculture and cities to the origins of the state, democracy, and inequality—and revealing new possibilities for human emancipation. For generations, our remote ancestors have been cast as primitive and childlike—either free and equal innocents, or thuggish and warlike. Civilization, we are told, could be achieved only by sacrificing those original freedoms or, alternatively, by taming our baser instincts. David Graeber and David Wengrow show how such theories first emerged in the eighteenth century as a conservative reaction to powerful critiques of European society posed by Indigenous observers and intellectuals. Revisiting this encounter has startling implications for how we make sense of human history today, including the origins of farming, property, cities, democracy, slavery, and civilization itself. Drawing on pathbreaking research in archaeology and anthropology, the authors show how history becomes a far more interesting place once we learn to throw off our conceptual shackles and perceive what’s really there. If humans did not spend 95 percent of their evolutionary past in tiny bands of hunter-gatherers, what were they doing all that time? If agriculture, and cities, did not mean a plunge into hierarchy and domination, then what kinds of social and economic organization did they lead to? The answers are often unexpected, and suggest that the course of human history may be less set in stone, and more full of playful, hopeful possibilities, than we tend to assume. The Dawn of Everything fundamentally transforms our understanding of the human past and offers a path toward imagining new forms of freedom, new ways of organizing society. This is a monumental book of formidable intellectual range, animated by curiosity, moral vision, and a faith in the power of direct action. Includes Black-and-White Illustrations

Book The Allies of Humanity Book Four

Download or read book The Allies of Humanity Book Four written by Marshall Vian Summers and published by Society for the New Message. This book was released on 2019-09-15 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Allies of Humanity are a group of individuals from several different worlds who came to the vicinity of the Earth to observe the alien Intervention that is occurring in our world and to report on the activities of this Intervention and its implications for the human race. The Allies of Humanity Briefings reveal the reality of Contact occurring in the world today. This fourth set of Briefings focuses on freedom in the universe, how it is achieved and maintained, and the restraint humanity must exercise in order to become a free race in the universe. The Allies also reveal a spiritual coordination, which supports spiritual development, awareness, unity and freedom in the universe. The Allies Briefings emphasize that we can understand the reality of Intervention from our own experience of colonization and conquest here on Earth. Our history has shown us the evidence of intervention from one culture upon another, from one nation upon another, repeatedly over time. This means that our own history and native wisdom can enable us to see and understand who is here and why they have come. Explore these Briefings with an open mind, allow your thoughts to be challenged, allow old beliefs to be overturned if necessary, allow something new and vital and essential to be given to you.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Joseph B. Soloveitchik, the rabbi known as “The Rav” by his followers worldwide, was a leading authority on the meaning of Jewish law and prominent force in building bridges between traditional Orthodox Judaism and the modern world. In THE LONELY MAN OF FAITH, a soaring, eloquent essay first published in Tradition magazine in 1965, Soloveitchik investigates the essential loneliness of the person of faith in our narcissistic, materially oriented, utilitarian society. In this modern classic, Soloveitchik uses the story of Adam and Eve as a springboard, interweaving insights from such important Western philosophers as Kierkegaard and Kant with innovative readings of Genesis to provide guidance for the faithful in today’s world. He explains prayer as “the harbinger of moral reformation,” and discusses with empathy and understanding the despair and exasperation of individuals who seek personal redemption through direct knowledge of a God who seems remote and unapproachable. He shows that while the faithful may become members of a religious community, their true home is “the abode of loneliness.” In a moving personal testimony, Soloveitchik demonstrates a deep-seated commitment, intellectual courage, and integrity that people of all religions will respond to.

Book Mankind Beyond Earth

Download or read book Mankind Beyond Earth written by Claude A. Piantadosi and published by Columbia University Press. This book was released on 2013-01-01 with total page 383 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Seeking to reenergize Americans' passion for the space program, the value of further exploration of the Moon, and the importance of human beings on the final frontier, Claude A. Piantadosi presents a rich history of American space exploration and its major achievements. He emphasizes the importance of reclaiming national command of our manned program and continuing our unmanned space missions, and he stresses the many adventures that still await us in the unfolding universe. Acknowledging space exploration's practical and financial obstacles, Piantadosi challenges us to revitalize American leadership in space exploration in order to reap its scientific bounty. Piantadosi explains why space exploration, a captivating story of ambition, invention, and discovery, is also increasingly difficult and why space experts always seem to disagree. He argues that the future of the space program requires merging the practicalities of exploration with the constraints of human biology. Space science deals with the unknown, and the margin (and budget) for error is small. Lethal near-vacuum conditions, deadly cosmic radiation, microgravity, vast distances, and highly scattered resources remain immense physical problems. To forge ahead, America needs to develop affordable space transportation and flexible exploration strategies based in sound science. Piantadosi closes with suggestions for accomplishing these goals, combining his healthy skepticism as a scientist with an unshakable belief in space's untapped—and wholly worthwhile—potential.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How David Hume and Adam Smith forged a new way of thinking about the modern state What is the modern state? Conspicuously undertheorized in recent political theory, this question persistently animated the best minds of the Enlightenment. Recovering David Hume and Adam Smith's long-underappreciated contributions to the history of political thought, The Opinion of Mankind considers how, following Thomas Hobbes's epochal intervention in the mid-seventeenth century, subsequent thinkers grappled with explaining how the state came into being, what it fundamentally might be, and how it could claim rightful authority over those subject to its power. Hobbes has cast a long shadow over Western political thought, particularly regarding the theory of the state. This book shows how Hume and Smith, the two leading lights of the Scottish Enlightenment, forged an alternative way of thinking about the organization of modern politics. They did this in part by going back to the foundations: rejecting Hobbes's vision of human nature and his arguments about our capacity to form stable societies over time. In turn, this was harnessed to a deep reconceptualization of how to think philosophically about politics in a secular world. The result was an emphasis on the "opinion of mankind," the necessary psychological basis of all political organization. Demonstrating how Hume and Smith broke away from Hobbesian state theory, The Opinion of Mankind also suggests ways in which these thinkers might shape how we think about politics today, and in turn how we might construct better political theory.
