Book Properties of Aqueous Solutions of Electrolytes

Download or read book Properties of Aqueous Solutions of Electrolytes written by Ivan D. Zaytsev and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 1992-08-24 with total page 1784 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Properties of Aqueous Solutions of Electrolytes is a handbook that systematizes the information on physico-chemical parameters of multicomponent aqueous electrolyte solutions. This important data collection will be invaluable for developing new methods for more efficient chemical technologies, choosing optimal solutions for more effective methods of using raw materials and energy resources, and other such activities. This edition, the first available in English, has been substantially revised and augmented. Many new tables have been added because of a significantly larger list of electrolytes and their properties (electrical conductivity, boiling and freezing points, pressure of saturated vapors, activity and diffusion coefficients). The book is divided into two sections. The first section provides tables that list the properties of binary aqueous solutions of electrolytes, while the second section deals with the methods for calculating their properties in multicomponent systems. All values are given in PSI units or fractional and multiple units. Metrological characteristics of the experimental methods used for the determination of physico-chemical parameters are indicated as a relative error and those of the computational methods as a relative error or a root-mean square deviation.

Book Handbook of Aqueous Electrolyte Thermodynamics

Download or read book Handbook of Aqueous Electrolyte Thermodynamics written by Joseph F. Zemaitis, Jr. and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2010-09-16 with total page 876 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Expertise in electrolyte systems has become increasingly important in traditional CPI operations, as well as in oil/gas exploration and production. This book is the source for predicting electrolyte systems behavior, an indispensable "do-it-yourself" guide, with a blueprint for formulating predictive mathematical electrolyte models, recommended tabular values to use in these models, and annotated bibliographies. The final chapter is a general recipe for formulating complete predictive models for electrolytes, along with a series of worked illustrative examples. It can serve as a useful research and application tool for the practicing process engineer, and as a textbook for the chemical engineering student.

Book A Study of the Vapor Pressure of Aqueous Solutions of Mannite by an Improved Static Method

Download or read book A Study of the Vapor Pressure of Aqueous Solutions of Mannite by an Improved Static Method written by Richard Nicholas Mullikin and published by Forgotten Books. This book was released on 2018-02-08 with total page 136 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from A Study of the Vapor Pressure of Aqueous Solutions of Mannite by an Improved Static Method: Dissertation Submitted to the Board of University Studies of the Johns Hopkins University in Conformity With the Requirements for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy In such a respect it is entirely analogous to the boiling and freezing point of a solution and.to its conductivity and osmotic pressure. The value of these properties in the determination of the molecular Weight, and, in the case of electrolytes, of the dissociation, is too well-known to need amplification. That their value, however, is dependent on the accuracy With which they can be determined 18 also self evident. The boiling - point method is really a dynamic meth cd of measuring vapor pressure. The objection to both the boiling-point and freezing-point methods is that they are subject to appreciable correction factors for the constant errors. The enormous difficulty in measuring osmotic pres sure makes it incapable of general application, While the conductivity method is least accurate in the region of high concentrations, Where the constant errors in measuring vapor pressure_are least. Book Electrolytes Equilibria in Solutions and Phase Equilibria

Download or read book Electrolytes Equilibria in Solutions and Phase Equilibria written by Georgiĭ Georgievich Aseev and published by Begell House Publishers. This book was released on 1998 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Information on vapor pressures over solutions, activities of water, and osmotic coefficients over electrolyte solutions is discussed, and new experimental data are given. Coefficients for calculating vapor pressures over solutions of a large number of electrolytes that were obtained by mathematical treatment of experimental data in the literature are presented. Experimental data are given for a high- temperature range. Nine pages of explanation and examples are followed by some 750 pages of tables listing related equations and electrolytes. For each electrolyte, the maximum temperature range and the maximum range of concentrations are given. The author is affiliated with Khar'kov State Institute of Culture, Ukraine. Lacks a subject index. Annotation copyrighted by Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
