The issues and findings presented here provide an overview of current research and offer a glimpse into a potential future characterized by the effective integration of technology to support mathematics teaching and learning at the lower secondary level.

The majority of teachers surveyed have access to computers at home that they use in relation to their teaching of mathematics. Some students are keen to use computer software in learning mathematics but for the fact that some schools have no computer laboratories let alone having adequate computer systems.This study recommend that teachers should introduce strategies for motivating students to learn and this can be best done by using computer software. By this, students will appreciate the use of computer software in learning mathematics.
