Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Come with me as God takes me on a journey. Watch what God reveals through the Dreams, Visions and Out of Body Experiences of mine personally, as well as that of others who have shared with me theirs. Let me tell you about some of the accounts that affected me and sometimes others. This book will show you How to be a True, Living Epistle of God through awareness of your own Dreams and Visions. It will teach you how to STOP where you are in life to hear the voice of the Lord God and hearken unto it. Unfortunately, we are presently living in the mist of a "Microwave Society" that is too busy for God. Nevertheless, God wants to speak and does so every single day. Yet most often than not, we are too busy to notice when He is speaking because we are caught up in our own way of living life. We simply neglect to make an effort to STOP and pay attention to the signs and wonders of GOD afforded us. As a result, we miss out on the very thing that we have need of or may be in prayer about. I tell you this day, God has already spoken through a Dream, Vision or His Word. We merely have not noticed it yet! This book shows you How to Acknowledge, Pay Attention and Respond Accordingly when God is speaking. Believe me when I tell you, He is speaking! Let me, through this book, show you how. A MUST READ for everyone who desires to learn more about How the Word of GOD affirms the Spiritual Application for the Natural Situations encountered in Dreams and Visions.

Book excerpt: "... collection of photographs assembled around a particular theme: in each image, the gaze of the subject is averted, the face obscured or the eyes firmly closed. The pictures present a catalog of anti-portraiture, characterized at first glance by what its subjects conceal, not by what the camera reveals. Amassed over the course of thirty years by New York collector W. M. Hunt, the collection includes works by masters such as Richard Avedon, Diane Arbus, Imogen Cunningham, William Klein, Robert Mapplethorpe, and Robert Frank as well as lesser-known artists and vernacular images." --book jacket.

Through ten case studies and dozens of interviews, Ellyn Kaschak taps directly into the phenomenology of race, gender, and sexual orientation among blind individuals, along with the everyday epistemology of vision. Book The All Seeing Unseen Eye of God and Other Sermons

Download or read book The All Seeing Unseen Eye of God and Other Sermons written by Matthew Newcomen and published by Puritan Publications. This book was released on 2013-07-24 with total page 306 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume is a compilation of Newcomen’s most rare sermons. The sermons reflect a life dedicated to experiencing and understanding the bible, spiritual truth, and experimental Christianity. His preaching is eminently biblical, energetic and powerful. They clearly display the peculiar ability Newcomen had to capture the attention of a church congregation in order to teach them the great truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His first sermon covers, “The All-Seeing Unseen Eye Of God” which is a fantastic exhortation to holiness taken from Hebrews 4:13, “But all things are naked and open unto the eyes of him, with whom we have to do.” God knows every person who ever was or will be, all their works, all their speeches, and all their thoughts, and such things are always present in the mind of God. This should prompt us to fear and revere God. This sermon alone is worth the cost of the volume. It is best exhortation on this subject matter in print. “The Craft and Cruelty of the Church’s Adversaries” is a powerful polemic against Roman Catholicism, Arminianism and Libertinism which deters Christians to the true faith found in Jesus Christ alone. He explains Nehemiah 4:11, “And our adversaries said, They shall not know nor see, till we come in the midst among them, and slay them, and cause the work to cease.” He shows how the church is at war with the wicked designs of men who would tear down the work of Jesus Christ. Also included is “Jerusalem’s Watchman,” “Walking Worthy of the Gospel,” and a funeral sermon on Acts 13:36. This work is not a scan or facsimile and has been made easy to read with an active table of contents for electronic versions.

  • Pages : 168 pages

Download or read book Sight Unseen written by Melvyn A. Goodale and published by Oxford : Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2004 with total page 168 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Vision, more than any other sense, dominates our mental life. Our visual experience is just so rich, so detailed, that we can hardly distinguish that experience from the world itself. Even when we just think about the world and don't look at it directly, we can't help but 'imagine' what it looks like. We think of 'seeing' as being a conscious activity--we direct our eyes, we choose what we look at, we register what we are seeing. The series of events described in this book radically altered this attitude towards vision. This book describes one of the most extraordinary neurological cases of recent years--one that profoundly changed scientific views on consciousness. It is the story of Dee Fletcher--a woman recently blinded--who became the subject of a series of scientific studies. As events unfolded, Milner and Goodale found that Dee wasn't in fact blind--she just didn't know that she could see. Taking us on a journey into the unconscious brain, the two scientists who made this incredible discovery tell the amazing story of their work, and the surprising conclusion they were forced to reach. Written to be accessible to students and popular science readers, this book is a fascinating illustration of the power of the 'unconscious' mind.

Book excerpt: In this groundbreaking urban fantasy series from New York Times bestseller Joseph Nassise, a grieving father makes a desperate bargain with forces beyond his control, revealing the supernatural world he'll need to survive in order to rescue the daughter who vanished into its dark depths several years before. "Gritty, grim, yet surprisingly personal and poetic, Eyes to See is like nothing else in its field. Make time for this one." —Seanan McGuire, New York Times bestselling author of the October Daye and Incryptid series “Brings urban fantasy to a new level. Heartbreaking, deeply insightful, powerful, and genuinely thrilling. Joe Nassise has just raised the bar for the whole genre.” —Jonathan Maberry, New York Times bestselling author of the Joe Ledger series "I gave up my eyes to see more clearly." Harvard professor Jeremiah Hunt's life fell apart in the wake of his daughter's disappearance. His obsessive search for her cost him his wife, his job, and his reputation. And now, thanks to a Faustian bargain he makes with the empty-eyed and enigmatic Preacher, it takes his sight as well. In return, he's granted the gift of seeing what others cannot; ghosts and other supernatural creatures of the night. With the help of his ghostly companions – Whisper and Scream – he embarks on a new career banishing malevolent spirits that torment the living while continuing his search for clues to Elizabeth's fate. What begins as a search for his daughter turns deadly when a particularly cunning foe lays a trap that ends with Hunt accused of a series of brutal murders. Now Hunt must fight not only to save his daughter's life but his own as well, against a dark and ageless foe that would use a father's love to set itself free.
