A better understanding of the genetic and epigenetic influencers of clinical responses to therapeutic agents is of paramount importance. On one hand, much remains to be deciphered and discovered through breakthrough research. In addition, there is a need for complementary health economics research to support the implementation of these validated biomarkers in routine clinical practice.
