Book Book of Edward Christian Mythology Volume III Itching Christian Ears

Download or read book Book of Edward Christian Mythology Volume III Itching Christian Ears written by Edward G. Palmer and published by JVED Publishing. This book was released on 2005-06 with total page 618 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Today, Christianity is steeped in mythology and Christians are unwittingly headed towards Hell instead of Heaven. They are far away from God and HIS Word. How would you answer these three questions: 1) Do you pray to Jesus? 2) Do you worship Jesus? 3) Do you give all the glory to Jesus? If you've answered yes to even one, you do not know God, HIS only human begotten Son or HIS Word. Many Christians have been programmed with mythology as explained in 2 Timothy and 2 Thessalonians. However, Jesus taught: 1) Pray to God the Father [Matthew 6:6]. 2) Worship only God the Father [Matthew 4:10]. 3) That he comes in his Father's glory [Mark 8:38]. Inside Volume III (Itching Christian Ears), you'll learn that prophecy is fulfilled in Christianity today through the apostate teachings on healing, who owns the church, tithing, abortion, sexuality, and politics. You'll also learn why it is mythology that everyone gets to go to Heaven. Let Scripture educate your heart. Volume III of a four volume set that deals with Faith, Prophecy and Christology. Over 1367 Scriptures are cited and there are 238 illustrations/tables/lists in the entire four volume set.

Download or read book Tithing after the Cross written by David A. Croteau and published by Energion Publications. This book was released on 2016-09-21 with total page 94 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Some in the church find it very difficult to talk about money, but it's a subject that cannot be avoided. The church needs money to continue to function. Missionaries need money to carry the gospel. As a result, however reluctant we are to talk about it, we have to do so. And when we do so, we often generate more confusion and resentment than cash. Some churches require that members be tithers before they can take positions of leadership. This in turn can result in a sort of spying by one believer on another. How much do we each earn? Is our giving equal to 10% of our income? On the other hand there are those who discount tithing, and consider themselves tithers because they give two or three percent of their income. They may say that they "tithe" 3% of their income. But what exactly does the Bible teach about tithing and how does that apply to us today? Is there a way for us to become grace-filled givers? Can stewardship, giving, and financing the work of building the kingdom become a joy rather than a duty or a source of dissension? David Croteau has written at length on this topic before. In this volume of the Areopagus Critical Christian Issues series, he undertakes a brief examination of tithing, stewardship, and giving. He starts by asking just what the Israelites were called on to give by the scriptures. He then follows through the various arguments in favor of tithing as a law applicable to Christians and shows how these arguments fail. Finally, he discusses a basis for gracious, joyful giving as God directs each of us. In just 96 pages (including all the front matter) you'll find your understanding of Christian stewardship changed. You won't find here a license for apathy or selfishness. Instead, you'll find a challenge to discover and do God's will in your finances as in every other area of your life.

Book Tithingism

  • Author : Thomas Moore
  • Publisher : AuthorHouse
  • Release : 2021-05-25
  • ISBN : 1665526491
  • Pages : 123 pages

Download or read book Tithingism written by Thomas Moore and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2021-05-25 with total page 123 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book has been in the making for 50 years; ever since Thomas Moore found a germ within the tithing doctrine that departed from the Living God. Thomas set out in 1973 to expose where this germ corrupts the basic doctrines of the New Testament, but in so doing he found that he needed to acquire a full understanding of all the primary Christian doctrines. This required reading the entire Bible from cover to cover many times in different translations, as well as compiling an extensive theology library. Years were spent reading entire commentaries, word studies, and systematic theology by various scholars, along with sermons and lessons from the greatest preachers of all time. In 2015 the author finished following the tithing germ through every school of theology and discovered the specific truths of Scripture being violated. In 2015 he began writing the book to refute each false teaching that supports the false doctrine of tithing and expose all of its fallacies, heresies and blasphemies, which was published in November of 2019 as Living Waters from Difficult Passages. The book is very thorough. It not only exposes the heresies and blasphemies, but also contains the popular verses of Scripture that pastor’s abuse, in order to support the tithing practice. This made the book almost 500 pages long. Many people are not interested in a book that large, so the author developed this book as a companion book, which is a quick and easy read; just covering the basic blasphemies of the religious tithing teaching. If reading TITHINGISM peaks your interest for more insights and Biblical evidence into the false teachings of the tithing tradition, then Living Waters from Difficult Passages will satisfy completely.

Book Kleptomaniac Who s Really Robbing God Anyway

Download or read book Kleptomaniac Who s Really Robbing God Anyway written by Frank Chase Jr and published by FC Publishing LLC. This book was released on 2016-06-14 with total page 400 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: KLEPTOMANIAC, Who's Really Robbing God Anyway is a trek through the pages of the Bible to find the untwisted truth about the centuries-old teachings on tithes and offerings. Every page of this book has information that will make you become an analyst in getting to the bottom line of what tithing is in the Old and New Testament. It takes you on a journey to first define the word tithe and then breaks down the differences between giving and tithing as the Bible instructs. The author attempts to expose what most people believe as fact to bring them to what the Bible actually teaches when it comes to true giving. Are the arguments put forth today about tithing fact or fiction? This book tackles tough questions like, did God ever require a tithe of money? Was the contents of the tithe always money in the Bible? Who is really robbing God today? Did God change the tithe at some point in biblical history? Are first fruits money? Is the tithe food, money or both? Is the church the storehouse? Did Jesus, Paul and the Disciples tithe? Did the early church honor a money tithe system? Are Christians really cursed for not tithing ten percent of their income? These questions will be answered based on scholarship, the land, the language and the literature of the original Biblical people. Not only will questions be answered for those confused about whether or not they are required to pay ten percent of their income to any religious institution, they will learn what the Bible really teaches about money and stewardship. The author meticulously examines the word tithe in both the Hebrew and Greek language. To understand every Bible verse that contains the word tithe, the author gives context and definitive definitions for clarity of the text. This book also explains the concept of giving from a New Testament perspective without the mandate of ten percent and explains why the Apostle Paul never mentioned tithing to any of the New Testament congregations. From Genesis to Revelation, this book is about how to properly interpret biblical terms to arrive at the proper interpretation of a biblical text that refers to money or tithing. Because there are pros and cons about tithing, the author examines both tithing and non-tithing theological camps and presents analysis and conclusions so that the reader can make an informed choice as to how they will give in the future. Since money is vital in every part of society and the church, this book spends a considerable amount of time detailing how money was used in the Bible to help readers know the difference between tithes and money. The tithing phenomenon has been around for centuries and this book is an expose' into the how the current doctrine came into existence and who the culprits were who played a major role in what churches teach today. Whether you agree or disagree with tithing as a viable doctrine, KLEPTOMANIAC is a back to the past look at Israel's history and how they practiced tithing in a theocracy. This book also questions how tithing practices of today affect people financially and how those practices are unlike tithing practices of yesterday. Not only does this book challenge the accepted definitions of the tithe, it also questions the sustainability of the current practices, especially when economic times get tough for people who may not be able to give much. From the very beginning to the end of the book, everything is supported by Scripture and research. You will know from the onset why the author, Dr. Frank Chase Jr., wrote the book and learn about his personal story of what happened as a result of embracing New Covenant giving principles from the New Testament. Not only does the book cover the Old Testament tithe, it also unveils what the New Testament teaches about giving by analyzing some of the epistles of Apostle Paul concerning his views and instructions on charitable giving.

  • Release : 2011-12-19
  • ISBN : 172523047X
  • Pages : 262 pages

Download or read book Beyond Tithing written by Stuart Murray and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2011-12-19 with total page 262 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Tithing is biblical but not Christian." So asserts Dr. Stuart Murray in this radical examination of the contemporary practice of tithing in which the author comes to some surprising conclusions. Stuart Murray clearly explains tithing in the Old Testament and in Christian history, but then probes further, asking penetrating questions such as: "Is tithing Christian?" "Did Jesus tithe?" "Does tithing function as a regressive tax, burdening the poor while the rich get richer?" "Does tithing lead to a legalistic approach that alienates us from Jesus?" The author suspects that a lot of the current lack of interest in the church stems from deep-seated memories of the church as oppressive, uncreative, and money-grabbing. In response we should therefore learn not to calculate percentages but explore creative ways of developing communities of justice and generosity that are good news to the poor. Beyond Tithing will stimulate your thinking and challenge the dominant influence of the practice of tithing as the model for Christian stewardship.
