Book The Testament of Astrology 2

Download or read book The Testament of Astrology 2 written by Oskar Adler and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2011-06-01 with total page 204 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The 2nd Sequence of The Testament of Astrology builds on the 1st, Adler's foundation of Esoteric Astrology. Amy Shapiro studied, taught and edited this material for years, polishing with greatest care. Dr. Adler offers a lifetime of insights that illumine astrology on a rare level, combining esoteric and exoteric understanding, blending psychology, mysticism and the mundane. Astrologers will gain training of a Masters' Degree quality, to help guide clients with deeper understanding. The following excerpts give you an idea of the caliber of Dr. Adler perceptions as they pertain to the theme of Sequence Two – the Zodiac. You will learn about … “… The realm of man's being rooted in Earth, the test of his individual being against the resistance of the earth-matter by the significance of the distribution of the Zodiac-sections, and planets above and below the horizon, for the individual's development on Earth: the cast-shadow of the Zodiacal man on Earth, and the summary of tasks of his earthly work, whose fruit he incorporates into his wandering “ego” -- man's fate, in its widest meaning.”“ … The astrologer aims to seize that human nucleus, swinging freely between Earth and the world of the stars, to study him, his terrestrial shadow and the heavenly light into whose realm he has stepped. The houses are the place for man's Self-probation; where he gains the powers of self-knowledge, of correcting and extending his development. From such knowledge, a blessing can issue forth. Its power will not be exhausted as long as belief in the divinity of the true human core does not vanish.”“The Zodiac and its impulses for human development, prototypes of character formation, concerning the general un-dimmed human image, correspond to the twelve sections of the Zodiac and the development of twelve types of people. The planetary world in connection with the Zodiac forms the total possibilities for an individual: whether favorably or unfavorably.”This Sequence prepares the way for Sequences 3 to 7, also available.

Download or read book The Gospel the Zodiac written by Bill Darlison and published by ABRAMS. This book was released on 2008-02-14 with total page 277 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “Darlison elucidates the zodiac’s significant place in the Gospels, most specifically in the Book of Mark . . . An intriguing leap into faith” (Kirkus Reviews). For millennia the world has been driven by the differences between the great patriarchal religions. Western civilization—or Christendom, as it was once called—received its values and its confidence from a belief in God, the Father, and Jesus, his only son. But what if this conviction were founded on an error? Who is the man in the factually inconsistent Gospel stories? And who is the man who makes a brief appearance carrying a jar of water? This extraordinary study by a Unitarian minister suggests that Jesus never existed historically; he was simply a representation of an astrological theology—a representation, simply put, of the zodiac sign of Aquarius. In The Gospel & the Zodiac, Rev. Bill Darlison demonstrates that all the other signs are present too, in perfect zodiacal order. The Gospel story is not the product of historians or eyewitnesses, but an older, mystical text produced by an ancient, esoteric school as a guide to the Age of Pisces. Every bit as revelatory and controversial as it sounds, The Gospel & the Zodiac will shake up the religious status quo, and in doing so, provide both a new look at a religious icon and a deeper understanding of the faith that binds millions together. “Darlison begins by looking at different scholarly approaches to the gospels, then outlines his astrological interpretation logically and lucidly, matching the zodiacal signs to the narrative of Mark.” —Fortean Times

Download or read book Influences written by Mary Quinlan-McGrath and published by University of Chicago Press. This book was released on 2013-02-20 with total page 396 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Today few would think of astronomy and astrology as fields related to theology. Fewer still would know that physically absorbing planetary rays was once considered to have medical and psychological effects. But this was the understanding of light radiation held by certain natural philosophers of early modern Europe, and that, argues Mary Quinlan-McGrath, was why educated people of the Renaissance commissioned artworks centered on astrological themes and practices. Influences is the first book to reveal how important Renaissance artworks were designed to be not only beautiful but also—perhaps even primarily—functional. From the fresco cycles at Caprarola, to the Vatican’s Sala dei Pontefici, to the Villa Farnesina, these great works were commissioned to selectively capture and then transmit celestial radiation, influencing the bodies and minds of their audiences. Quinlan-McGrath examines the sophisticated logic behind these theories and practices and, along the way, sheds light on early creation theory; the relationship between astrology and natural theology; and the protochemistry, physics, and mathematics of rays. An original and intellectually stimulating study, Influences adds a new dimension to the understanding of aesthetics among Renaissance patrons and a new meaning to the seductive powers of art.

Download or read book Theosophical Astrology written by Helen Valborg and published by Theosophy Trust Books. This book was released on 2018-01-25 with total page 396 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Astrology includes many things, has many forms, and serves multiple purposes. Taking just three common examples, typical astrological charts show the positions and relations of the planets at the moment and location of birth. Progressed astrology maps the return of planets to their birth positions as well as the times and ways they cross and relate to those original positions and to one another. And horary astrology looks at the positions of the planets in the zodiac at a given moment when some decision is to be made (e.g., when to lay the foundation stone of a temple). And then there is the astrology once commonly found in newspapers, where planets were taken in conjunction with the signs of the zodiac to give general indications of what to expect for the day, given one's birth sign. This latter was never taken seriously by knowledgeable astrologers, being rather like the sentiments found in fortune cookies ending meals in Chinese restaurants. "People admire your attitude," for example, can apply to anyone's self-image, and so it "works." But such messages are random, and the newspaper's astrological messages each have to be general enough to cover about 1/12 the population, because there are 12 signs in the zodiac. There is much more to any system of astrology than the mechanisms for casting a chart or giving naïve interpretations, as, for example, Mars means conflict, Jupiter wealth or generosity, Mercury intelligence, and so on. Like all sciences, astrology is a complex of symbols and principles of interrelationships. And like all science, astrology is also based on experience and observation. In some ways, astrology is more like medical science than physics, since its variables are often multivalent and context-dependent. And like all sciences, astrology is based on assumptions about the nature of reality and the universe. It shares with all sciences the assumption that there are discoverable laws of nature that are invariant, at least over long periods of time. It shares the assumption that nature and the universe is intelligible to a reasoning, observing consciousness.

Book Keys to the Kingdom II

  • Publisher : AuthorHouse
  • Release : 2023-10-29
  • ISBN : 1665553839
  • Pages : 193 pages

Download or read book Keys to the Kingdom II written by Rev. Dr. Gary Alexander Byrd and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2023-10-29 with total page 193 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Keys to the Kingdom II reveals the hidden prophecies in the Bible by reimagining the scriptures. Keys II challenges the traditional view or interpretation of both Genesis and Revelation, by engaging ancient astrology and the Bible Numeric. What emerges is a new truth in which Adam is not the first man God created. This assertion only confirms the overwhelming evidence of the earliest humanoids existence on Earth, as there is a long fossil record which predates Adam by a million years or more. Evolutionist vs. Creationist argument has raged for over a hundred years, with either side satisfied with the others explanation. There is nothing wrong with the Bible, what is problematic is man’s interpretation of the text, which early church fathers and theologians never consider Earth’s long anthropological, archeological, and astrological past. By revealing the ancient astrology, which is hidden in plain sight, Revelation’s apocalyptic code is finally cracked. What is revealed is seventy to eighty percent of the Book of Revelation has already happened. Biblical prophecy is real and trustworthy, as this terminal generation will continue to experience a number of unprecedented hardships and disasters, as the fulfillment of End of Days prophecies are now upon the world.

Book Mundane Astrology The Astrology of Nations and States

Download or read book Mundane Astrology The Astrology of Nations and States written by H. S. Green and published by Astrology Center of America. This book was released on 2005-03 with total page 324 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Will there be peace? Will there be war? Find out with Mundane Astrology. Here, in one volume, are three classic books on the astrology of nations and states, by H.S. Green, Raphael, and C.E.O. Carter: H.S. Green organizes his book planet-by- planet. He tells what each planet will do in the 12 houses. Raphael organizes the topic by house. He tells how mundane houses work when planets are in them. In addition, both authors deal with solar and lunar eclipses, and earthquakes. Green shows the effects of eclipses in the houses, while Raphael describes them by decanate (100 sections of the zodiac). Both mention the effects of comets, although little about these mysterious bodies is known astrologically. Charles Carter, writing after WWII, discusses why astrologers failed to predict the war and what that means for mundane astrology. His plea for better data has largely been met, but the need for more study remains. All three authors give astrological rulerships for countries and cities. These are centuries old and are weighted to England and Europe. Carter's rulers are the most up-to-date. These are the essential texts for serious study of mundane astrology. About the Authors H.S. Green was an astrologer associated with Alan Leo's astrological revival back in the first decade of the 20th century. His various books are highly regarded (all but this one out of print, sadly), but biographical details are sketchy. Raphael was the pen-name of one Robert Cross, 1850-1923. He was the sixth in a series of astrological writers who used the name "Raphael" & remains the best known of them all. He wrote books on virtually all astrological topics. His book on mundane astrology dates from 1910. Charles E.O. Carter, 1887-1968, was one of the outstanding British astrologers of the 20th century. He succeeded Alan Leo as head of the Astrological Lodge of the Theosophical Society, a post he held from 1920 to 1952. He was editor of Astrology, The Astrologer's Quarterly, from 1926 to 1959. Carter's persistent genius reestablished astrology as a serious discipline in England, after two centuries of decline. He wrote his book on Mundane Astrology in reaction to the failure of astrologers to forecast WWII. In 1939, astrologers in London knew there was a full-scale war on in China, they knew the situation with Germany was tense, but they had studied the charts for the year, they knew the fuss would blow over. And they were wrong. Carter set out to discover why, his book was the result.
