Download or read book The Ten Keys to Successful Teaching written by Mario Gonzalez and published by Publishamerica Incorporated. This book was released on 2007-11 with total page 220 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Ten Keys to Successful Teaching is a step-by-step, realistic and applicable teaching strategy. It is a hands-on and trial-and-error approach, with an emphasis on fostering, promoting, and developing an atmosphere of high expectation for both the teacher and student. I realized that a teaching career has become very enticing, with many school districts becoming creative to attract college students to professionals desiring to teach. The school districts have implemented incentives such as day care services, stipends, higher salaries, insurance discounts, pardoned student loans, partial payments on home rentals, and tuition reimbursement in shortage areas. Even though the school districts are attracting many high-quality teachers, retention has been a major problem. Many school districts have not been able to keep a large number of teachers entering the field. One main factor, classroom management and discipline in the classroom.

Book excerpt: In his inimitable no-nonsense style, John Bird - founder of the Big Issue - shows us how to be successful in whatever we choose in just ten easy steps. Drawing from this, John's philosophy is based on the idea that success is about deciding what you want, working out what is important to you and then going out to grab it. The beauty of this approach is that we can all achieve whatever we want; we just need to go after it. With unique lessons such as 'Don't be afraid to make mistakes along the way. Instead, make mistakes and learn from them' and 'Take responsibility for yourself as you are no one else's problem', The 10 Keys to Success shows us how uncomplicated success can be.

Book Leadership Lessons 10 Keys to Success in Life and Business

Download or read book Leadership Lessons 10 Keys to Success in Life and Business written by Jim Swartz and published by Association for Talent Development. This book was released on 2008-01-01 with total page 86 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Achievers - the masters, innovators, and great ones - do not owe their success to luck, birth, or environment. Rather, great achievers throughout history - from Michelangelo to Einstein, Madame Curie to Bill Gates, Colonel Sanders to General Eisenhower - all have characteristics that the authors have distilled into actions for extraordinary success - in any field. In the process, some old notions are put to rest - including the saw that innovators must be risk takers (in fact, they not) and that great ideas just happen. This book ranges from the importance of preparing for success (acquiring expertise) to endurance against obstacles and recognizing and then seizing opportunities. None of it is easy, they say, but the rewards can be substantial. This fascinating book will be especially helpful for senior executives, ambitious managers, and entrepreneurs; many will find the clarity of its prose and sometimes surprising relevance of the examples and keys inspirational.
