Book The Supernatural Garden

Download or read book The Supernatural Garden written by Sharon Young and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2011-02-19 with total page 178 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is not a theological study or even an interpretation of spiritual experiences. The book describes a love story. A few years ago, I was going through a really bad physical time. I never guessed that this diary would be the result. I don't go into the details of that six month struggle because that is not the purpose of this little book, but I started praying in earnest for healing. A friend suggested that I establish an imaginary place where I could meet with God. Ultimately this became a supernatural Garden of Gethsemane. The first time I walked in through a wonderful trellis, I saw someone standing there. I was startled at first. Then the man, who I knew was Jesus, said to me, "I've been waiting for you to come."

After losing her brother in the trenches of the Great War, Cecily James is a prisoner of Whitmore Hall, the respected but remote boys’ school where her brutish husband reigns as headmaster. With its forsaken walled garden, a hauntingly tragic past, and midnight footsteps heard from an unoccupied clocktower, Whitmore Hall is a place where the dead are rumored to walk. Whitmore Hall is a place filled with mysteries and as a ghost garden emerges from the sun-bleached soil, long-buried secrets cry out to be told. When new teacher Raf de Chastelaine blunders into an impromptu seance, Cecily finds an unlikely and eccentric ally. In a world of discipline and respectability, barefoot Raf is unlike any teacher Cecily has ever met. With his tales of the Carpathian mountains and a love of midnight gardening, he shakes Whitmore Hall to its foundations. Could there be more to Raf than meets the eye? And as he and Cecily realise that their feelings run deeper than friendship, dare they dream of a world beyond Whitmore Hall? As Cecily and Raf team up to unite long-dead lovers and do battle with an ancient evil that has long haunted Whitmore Hall, Cecily finds her chance of happiness threatened by her tyrannical husband. But is the controlling headmaster acting of his own free will, or is he the puppet of a malevolent power from beyond the grave?

Book The Supernatural Kingdom

Download or read book The Supernatural Kingdom written by R. Pepe Ramnath and published by Xulon Press. This book was released on 2007-08 with total page 261 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: ACTIVATE THE SUPERNATURAL TODAY!!! The Kingdom of God is supernatural by nature. It supersedes religion, science, philosophies and ideologies as it works its ways silently but yet explosively in the hearts of men and women. It is the cure for teenage pregnancies, wars, diseases, violence, economical and political decline. Jesus describes the workings of the kingdom with yeast. Microbiological imperfect fungus, Candida, starts out with one unicellular organism and reproduces itself thousands of time in adverse environments. The supernatural kingdom of God works in a similar manner. It enters the rough dough of our world silently into the substrates of our workplace, marketplace, schools, families, churches, and communities creating bread for living effectively on earth. This book will awake the powerful yeastlike principles hidden within the inner chambers of your spirit for the supernatural demonstrations of his kingdom on earth. R. Pepe Ramnath graduated with a Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Microscopy at Breyer State University and completed post-graduate studies with LSU, McCrone Research Institute, CDC, Emory University, UNM, College of Microscopy and Aerobiological Research Institute at Harvard University. Pepe was born on the island of Trinidad in Preysal. He is the husband of Angela, author of Arise Esther, and father of three beautiful children Matthew, Joshua and Leah. Pepe and Angela are the Senior Pastors of Miramar Christian Center International and owners of a scientific testing laboratory, Dove Environmental Laboratories in Florida, USA. His passion for the inner workings of the Holy Spirit and culture of the kingdom of God has created a balance of power andcharacter in the lives of many. He is committed to seeing heaven colonize earth through the most important person on earth, the Holy Spirit.

Book The Supernatural in Short Fiction of the Americas

Download or read book The Supernatural in Short Fiction of the Americas written by Dana Del George and published by Bloomsbury Publishing USA. This book was released on 2001-08-30 with total page 172 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The continuing cultural encounters of the Americas, between European and indigenous cultures, and between scientific materialism and premodern supernaturalism, have originated new narrative forms. While supernatural short fiction of the Americas belongs to the broad category of the fantastic, which is generally approached synchronically, reading audiences of the past 200 years have shifted their beliefs about the supernatural several times. While nineteenth-century readers understood science as real and the supernatural as imaginary, modern audiences recognize both as inaccurate, a shift which allows authors of supernatural fiction to celebrate premodern indigenous beliefs which were once disdained by a materialist culture. This book situates supernatural short fiction of the Americas within the changing cultural and epistemological contexts of the last 200 years and explores how authors have drawn upon a wealth of indigenous traditions. The book begins with a discussion of theories of the supernatural and the fantastic. It then looks at some of the first encounters of European and Native American supernatural beliefs and points to the common elements of these early traditions. The volume next focuses on American literature of the nineteenth century, which has a complex fusion of materialist biases and metaphysical fascinations. The final portion of the book gives greater attention to Spanish-American literature and the blending of the supernatural with attitudes of nostalgia and uncertainty.

Book Experiencing God in the Supernatural

Download or read book Experiencing God in the Supernatural written by Jonathan C. Ferguson and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2010-08 with total page 134 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A study on the supernatural is very broad; therefore, it is my goal to help individuals understand the supernatural from a scriptural perspective by defining the prophetic. In doing so, the reader will embrace the vast biblical extent of man’s interactions with God, explore various dimensions of the Spirit realm, and learn what it means to live under and open heaven. In fact, this book will cover over 21 ways in which God may choose to interact or communicate with us as believers and much more. This is a book of both information and impartation. The pages of this book will literally come alive, as there have already been testimonies of various God encounters from those who have previously reviewed the writings contained. You will not only read this book, but you will experience what you read, and the things you learn will stir up the gifts that are on the inside of you. Get ready to take the limits off of your life. Get ready to be accelerated in the prophetic, because God is about to blow your natural mind with a supernatural revelation. I reiterate that this is not merely a book. This is an impartation.

Book Charting the Supernatural Judgements of Planet Earth

Download or read book Charting the Supernatural Judgements of Planet Earth written by Jerimiah Asher and published by Author House. This book was released on 2010-08-10 with total page 422 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Chapter 3 The First Judgment: The World Prior To Adam There may have been many judgments upon the earth since its beginning millions or billions of years ago; however, the present commentary will deal only with the last tens of thousands of years of earth’s existence. In Genesis 1:2, the verses written by Moses (as author of the Genesis account) portray an earth that was veiled in darkness so that its form could not be discerned. The earth at that time was covered with water (ice) high above the mountain tops so that it gave the appearance of being a dark revolving sphere of frozen water (Table-2). God’s spirit is described as hovering over this revolving ball of water and brooding over the sad condition of this dark, void planet. God did not create a dark and dismal planet at the beginning, because God does not create darkness; in fact, darkness is incompatible with His existence and presence. So what had happened that God viewed (Gen. 1:2) such a decrepit state of the world? Does scripture attempt to explain this phenomenon, or does the inspired word of God remain silent on this issue? It was first proposed as a theory by the Scotsman Thomas Chalmers in the early 19th century that a “gap” in time existed between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. This gap-in-time would encompass a “ruin-reconstruction theme” and the existence of pre-Adamic living beings. Obviously, a huge catastrophic event would have had to occur to produce this decadent state of the world. The “gap concept” was later popularized by mention in the margin notes of the Scofield Reference Bible.
