Book The Study of the Dielectric Properties of Nafion 117 Thin Film

Download or read book The Study of the Dielectric Properties of Nafion 117 Thin Film written by Tarek Ibrahim Alanazi and published by . This book was released on 2016 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This study investigates the dielectric properties of a Nafion-117 membrane using a mixed method research approach. Historical data analyzing the dielectric properties of insulating materials is presented as a fundamental building block upon which our research methodology is built and is followed by an understanding of Nafion-117 and its morphology. Further exploration of Nafion and its dielectric relaxation properties builds to an exploration of the properties of dielectric materials and the evaluation of Nafion, bridging into the in-depth research of its appropriateness as a dielectric material through testing and evaluating the temperature and frequency dependence of the dielectric constant, dielectric loss, AC conductivity, conduction mechanism, and impedance spectrum.

Book Mechanic and Dielectric Properties

Download or read book Mechanic and Dielectric Properties written by Maurice H. Francombe and published by Academic Press. This book was released on 2013-10-22 with total page 415 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Mechanic and Dielectric Properties deals with the mechanical and dielectric properties of thin films. Topics covered range from the deposition and mechanical properties of superlattice thin films to the preparation of hard coatings by sputtering and arc evaporation. The use of thin films in microwave acoustics is also discussed, along with ferroelectric films for integrated electronics and the physics, chemistry, and technology of electrochromic tungsten-oxide-based thin films. Comprised of five chapters, this volume begins with an analysis of the growth, characterization, and mechanical behavior of films comprising multilayers primarily of metal and refractory metallic compound components. The next chapter reviews the mechanical properties of hard coatings prepared by sputtering and arc evaporation, together with the influence of multilayer and gradient structures, and of film crystallinity, crystal orientation, and morphology, on properties such as hardness, coating smoothness, and friction behavior. Subsequent chapters focus on the unique role played by piezoelectric films in signal processing devices utilizing bulk or surface acoustic waves; the properties and applications of ferroelectric films in integrated electronics; and the underlying physics and chemistry of electrochromic tungsten-oxide-based thin films. This book should be of interest to physicists.

Book Dielectric Films for Advanced Microelectronics

Download or read book Dielectric Films for Advanced Microelectronics written by Mikhail Baklanov and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2007-04-04 with total page 508 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The topic of thin films is an area of increasing importance in materials science, electrical engineering and applied solid state physics; with both research and industrial applications in microelectronics, computer manufacturing, and physical devices. Advanced, high-performance computers, high-definition TV, broadband imaging systems, flat-panel displays, robotic systems, and medical electronics and diagnostics are a few examples of the miniaturized device technologies that depend on the utilization of thin film materials. This book presents an in-depth overview of the novel developments made by the scientific leaders in the area of modern dielectric films for advanced microelectronic applications. It contains clear, concise explanations of material science of dielectric films and their problem for device operation, including high-k, low-k, medium-k dielectric films and also specific features and requirements for dielectric films used in the packaging technology. A broad range of related topics are covered, from physical principles to design, fabrication, characterization, and applications of novel dielectric films.

Book Dielectric Properties of Thin Film Composition Spreads

Download or read book Dielectric Properties of Thin Film Composition Spreads written by Ruiqi Sun and published by . This book was released on 2021 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: ABSTRACT Dielectrics have been extensively investigated in IC technology for capacitor and transistor applications. The discovery of good amorphous thin-film dielectric materials, with high dielectric constants, low dissipation factors and high breakdown fields for charge storage applications has been of great importance. To identify potential new dielectrics, the composition-spread technique and high throughput experimentation have been widely used to explore materials with excellent properties. In this study, the dielectric properties of amorphous composition-spread thin films were studied. The material systems studied in this work includes Bi-Ti-O, Bi-Ta-O, Bi-Zr-O, Bi-Nb-O and the single composition BaTiO3. Films were deposited by RF magnetron co-sputtering. The Bi-Ti-O composition spread was also annealed via laser spike annealing to explore phase formations, which were further analyzed with synchrotron x-ray diffraction. The dielectric properties of amorphous composition-spread thin films were characterized and discussed. In the composition range of 0.5
