Download or read book The Struggle and How We Slayed the Dragon written by ,Tariq and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2022-09-23 with total page 125 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From being successful business owners to going three years without income, losing significant clients, incurring major layoffs, betrayal, and exhausting personal finances, our story is meant to inspire small business owners, entrepreneurs, and those thinking of starting a business that the power of faith, trust, and perseverance can triumph all adversaries. As my wife and I look over the past twenty years that we have been in business, we are so grateful and humble for the love and support God has given to us. We are also grateful for God's strength during the most adverse times in our lives where the many setbacks and tribulations we've encountered almost wiped us out completely. We were one bad decision away from losing it all. However, through God's grace and mercy, he kept us in his righteous right hand the whole time. This book was written to be as transparent as possible in exposing to our readers the difficulties my wife and I encountered and endured as business owners. Expressing our emotional, financial, physical, and creatively fatigued stress and how we overcame each and every one of them is the sole purpose of this book! There aren't any business textbook principals discussed in this book, but there are many examples of how God changed our situations from bad to good. Whether you are single or married, in a business, there is always some significant other, wife, husband, or family member that is affected the same way as you are. So we decided, before we started writing this book, that we would give our individual perspectives so that everyone could actually relate and understand that whatever they are thinking during difficult times, they are not alone. Despite me and my wife's sixteen-year age difference, opposite personalities, different faiths, and being raised in different countries, we were able, through God's love and strength, to conquer our differences, doubts, and fears with confidence in knowing that if we stay grounded in the Word and patiently hold firm to our hope in God and consistently stay in prayer, he would give us the power to slay the dragon, and he certainly did! God bless each and every one of you!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book analyses the decline of the ANC in Nelson Mandela Bay, the economic hub of the Eastern Cape, also known as the party?s heartland. Over the course of last twenty-four years, party dominant dilemmas have plagued the ANC in the Nelson Mandela Bay.ÿ This includes corruption, political factionalism, blurring the line between party and state, as well as engaging in spoils politics.ÿ While this metro had encapsulated the ?Dream of ?94? since the inception of democracy in South Africa, weak quality of governance, lack of political efficacy, and mediocre, if not anorexic, service delivery effectively led to the ANC losing this symbolically important metropolitan municipality.ÿ With the loss of Nelson Mandela Bay, voters effectively demonstrated that they are no longer willing to accept the liberation narrative and elusive promise of a better tomorrow.ÿ The ANC can no longer rely on the political capital of the liberation struggle in securing and maintaining its electorally dominant position. The loss of Nelson Mandela Bay, coupled with Johannesburg and Tshwane, could potentially signal the end of ANC electoral dominance.ÿ The author tracks the electoral decline of the ANC and analyses the dynamics that impact on its ability to potentially sustain its political and electoral dominant position in future elections.

Download or read book The Way of Kings written by Nathan Clarkson and published by Baker Books. This book was released on 2022-04-26 with total page 143 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Today's man is in an identity crisis. With a never-ending barrage of confusing, condescending, and condemning voices telling him who he is and who he isn't, it can feel impossible to discover who he was made to be. Men were made to be kings, to protect the light, fight the darkness, and rule well the domain God has given them. But to be a good king, men must act in the likeness of the King. Drawing on the ancient tradition of an older and wiser ruler passing on his wisdom, like Solomon in the book of Proverbs, Nathan Clarkson offers young men 40 short and to-the-point letters for the journey. Packed with practical, biblically based advice on real-life issues, this book helps men base their identity not in who the world says they should be but in who their King says they can be. For the modern man looking to live out a greater story, The Way of Kings offers ancient wisdom rooted in sacred Scripture to help him discover who he was created to be.
Download or read book States of Disconnect written by Adhira Mangalagiri and published by Columbia University Press. This book was released on 2023-01-24 with total page 200 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In an interconnected world, literature moves through transnational networks, crosses borders, and bridges diverse cultures. In these ways, literature can bring people closer together. Today, as hopes for globalization wane and exclusionary nationalism is on the march, can literature still offer new ways of relating with others? Comparative literature has long been under the spell of circulation, contact, connectivity, and mobility—what if it instead sought out their antitheses? States of Disconnect examines the breakdown of transnationalism through readings of literary texts that express aversion to pairing ideas of China and India. Focusing on practices of comparison, Adhira Mangalagiri considers how these texts articulate the undesirability or impossibility of relating with national others, tracing portrayals of violence, silence, and distance. She proposes the concept of “disconnect”: a crisis of transnationalism perceptible in moments when a connection is severed, interrupted, or disavowed. Despite their apparent insularity, texts of disconnect offer possibilities for relating ethically across national borders while resisting both narrow nationalisms and globalized habits of thought. Reading a variety of largely untranslated twentieth-century Chinese and Hindi short stories, novels, and poems, Mangalagiri develops three new strategies for comparison—friction, ellipses, and contingency—that together comprise a critical vocabulary of disconnect. Foregrounding transnationalism’s discontents, States of Disconnect offers a different path by which literary texts can cultivate a critical sensibility for making sense of a world rife with division.

Download or read book Jungian Psychology in the East and West written by Konoyu Nakamura and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2021-07-29 with total page 199 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It is well known that Jung’s investigation of Eastern religions and cultures supplied him with an abundance of cross-cultural comparative material, useful to support his hypotheses of the existence of archetypes, the collective unconscious and other manifestations of psychic reality. However, the specific literature dealing with this aspect has previously been quite scarce. This unique edited collection brings together contributors writing on a range of topics that represent an introduction to the differences between Eastern and Western approaches to Jungian psychology. Readers will discover that one interesting feature of this book is the realization of how much Western Jungians are implicitly or explicitly inspired by Eastern traditions – including Japanese – and, at the same time, how Jungian psychology – the product of a Western author – has been widely accepted and developed by Japanese scholars and clinicians. Scholars and students of Jungian studies will find many new ideas, theories and practices gravitating around Jungian psychology, generated by the encounter between East and West. Another feature that will be appealing to many readers is that this book may represent an introduction to Japanese philosophy and clinical techniques related to Jungian psychology.
