Book excerpt: Excerpt from Genealogy of the Harding Family in the Eastern Counties of North Carolina North Carolina, came to me during a visit to the home of my boyhood, Washington and Chocowinity, N. C., in January, 1908. The descendants of Stephen Harding, our first ancestor in North Carolina, are now living in many states of the Union, and I felt it would be a pleasure to collect the facts concerning them for the benefit of present and future generations.
