Beginning with ancient Atomist and Stoic philosophies, Mary-Jane Rubenstein links contemporary models of the multiverse to their forerunners and explores their current emergence. For some theologians, these “fine-tunings” are proof of God; for others, “God” is an insufficient explanation.
