Book The Shakespeare Puzzle A Non Esoteric Baconian Theory

Download or read book The Shakespeare Puzzle A Non Esoteric Baconian Theory written by Barry R. Clarke and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2007-09 with total page 262 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Daily Telegraph (UK) puzzlist conducts an investigation into the Shakespeare authorship question. Interesting new facts are presented that demonstrate that it was Gray's Inn law students that acted in the first known performance of The Comedy of Errors not Shakspere's company at the Gray's Inn revels 1594-5 and that it was Sir Francis Bacon who controlled them. An argument is given why Shakspere of Stratford could not have written this play. Bacon's motive for concealment is related to his need to find financial support for his Great Instauration project, the building of new institutes devoted to experimentation. The Shakespeare Authorship question requires careful navigation and the present work guards against over-interpreting the facts. Fully referenced and tightly reasoned, one noted academic commented that "Chapter 6 is very convincing".

Book excerpt: Daily Telegraph (UK) puzzle expert Barry R. Clarke guides the reader through the case for the philosopher Sir Francis Bacon as the author of the Shakespeare work. We shall see that, apart from his name being on the work, there is surprisingly little evidence supporting the claim for Shakspere of Stratford, the London actor. Bacon, then regarded as the finest mind for 500 years, appears to have used Shakspere's name to advertise his moral philosophy. Previous books on this issue have failed to convince, often losing the reader in a wilderness of uncoordinated detail. However, this is tightly argued with full references. Other books by Barry R. This book was released on 2022-11-04 with total page 91 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “The attempt to write about Shakespeare is like going into a large, spacious and splendid Dome through the conveyance of a narrow and obscure entry.”(Theobalt, 231) William Shakespeare is acknowledged as world’s greatest English language playwright and poet who possessed great wit and wisdom. His works are still admired by day to day people. He has written about almost all fields of knowledge. His plays not only entertain us but they give us insightful advice and wise suggestions for life. We have Shakespearean plays on varied human affairs like war, love, different family crises, problems etc. It seems that all the plays are written to keep live situations of our day to day affairs. For Shakespeare’s universal Fame Pope in his Preface to Shakespeare says: “If ever any author deserved the name of an original, it was Shakespeare” (2).

Book The Connection of Francis Bacon With the First Folio of Shakespeare s Plays and With the Books on Cipher of His Time Classic Reprint

Download or read book The Connection of Francis Bacon With the First Folio of Shakespeare s Plays and With the Books on Cipher of His Time Classic Reprint written by Charles Pickering Bowditch and published by Forgotten Books. This book was released on 2018-09-20 with total page 102 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from The Connection of Francis Bacon With the First Folio of Shakespeare's Plays and With the Books on Cipher of His Time Now, however absurd we may think the theory of the Baco nians in itself, it groups together and calls attention to a class of facts of a very curious nature in the life of Shakespeare, and especially in the life of Bacon, of which no explanation whatever is to be found in their accepted biographies; and the fault, or the folly, of the orthodox Shakespearians is this - that their antipathy to the Baconian theory completely blinds their eyes, if not to the existence of the class of facts in question, at any rate to the possi bility of their possessing any meaning at all; whereas, if it were not for the influence of an unreasoning prejudice, they would certainly bring them into prominence, and devote themselves to the task of elucidating them. The utmost in the way of theory, on which I shall personally venture, is this: That the facts indicate, not that Bacon was the real Shakespeare, but that he had certain connections, of one sort or another, with the literature and literati of his time, which he never publicly ac knowledged, and which have thus far never been recognized. This is a position which can hardly be offensive to even the most peppery Shakespearian; and should subsequent study of the matter show that this position is not warranted I should abandon it Without regret.
