Book The Coming of the Son of Man

Download or read book The Coming of the Son of Man written by Andrew Perriman and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2012-08-21 with total page 282 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Tracing the powerful motif of the coming of the Son of man from Daniel through to Revelation, Andrew Perriman provides thought-provoking ideas about eschatological narrative. What was it like to hear the biblical proclamation of this coming for the first time in a cultural, political, and religious context very different from our own? How did early Christians think about the imminence of the promised day of the Lord? What difference did this message make to how they thought, lived, and spread the gospel message? This book engages the minds of jaded twenty-first-century postmoderns who have heard it all before. By seeing the fulfilment of much of New Testament apocalyptic in events of the first centuries, Perriman proposes that in some important sense we have moved beyond eschatology--into an age of renewed community and mission that is creational in its scope.ÊThe Coming of the Son of ManÊis important reading for those who want to engage in the debate concerning what church is--and will be.

Book The Time of Christ s Return Revealed Revised Edition

Download or read book The Time of Christ s Return Revealed Revised Edition written by Charles P. Pierce and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2009-08-31 with total page 544 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the real thing! If you want to know when Jesus Christ will return to reign as LORD over all the earth, this book will tell you. The book is controversial because it is unique. The time given directly from the Bible is distant, unlike the majority of current views expounding the theory that the time of Christ’s return is imminent in their lifetime. Multiple witnesses of scripture are used to provide Biblical evidence for definite timing of events. The book of Daniel gives the number of years between when the second Temple was destroyed in 70 AD until the Lord builds the Millennial Temple. Daniel also tells us the number of days it will take the Lord to replace the third Temple with the Millennial Temple. In the Gospel of John, Jesus tells us when He will build the Millennial Temple. Many witnesses throughout the Bible, including the book of Joshua, each confirm the same timing of events. The Church is given truth with the goal of increasing The Kingdom of God. The cause of problems and their effects are revealed along with a solution. Those who have ears to hear will do more than just listen. 523 page count 37 black and white images

John Piper writes, that it’s only when we know what makes God glad that we’ll know the greatness of His glory. What followers of Jesus need now, more than anything else, is to know and love—behold and embrace—the great, glorious, sovereign, happy God of the Bible. “This is a unique and precious book that everybody should read more than once.” —J.I. John 14:3 ESV Jesus Christ was very clear: One day He will return-and none of us knows when. Yet God's own Word commands us to know the signs of the times, to remain watchful, and to be ready-whenever Christ comes. This book is a straightforward, in-depth exploration of the key biblical texts regarding the Second Coming; most notably, Christ's longest and most important eschatological message, the Olivet Discourse. Book The Second Coming of Jesus Christ

Download or read book The Second Coming of Jesus Christ written by Stanley Lotegeluaki and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2014-01-07 with total page 650 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Second Coming of Jesus Christ is close at hand. The last 2000 years has been the Tribulation. Soon in our generation, especially in my lifetime Jesus is coming back. I met Jesus on August 10th 2012. And I have a drawing that looks like Jesus that the Lord helped me to draw. It is a copy of Adolfo Simeione's work, an artist from Italy who was born in 1880 , he drew a real picture of Jesus without knowing it. Since I met Jesus, I drew a picture of Him using Adolfo Simeiones work. THE PICTURE ON THE COVER OF THIS BOOK PROVES TO THE WORLD THAT I MET JESUS AND ALL 50 OF MY BOOKS ARE ABOUT HIM- JESUS CHRIST, THE INTERGALACTIC SUPERSTAR- THE STARCHILD. When Jesus comes back, and if He looks like the picture on the cover of this book, that would prove that I met Him personally. There is no Rapture or war before the Second Coming. Isaiah chpt 22 put a curse on the visions of the Second Coming. Read this book to see the error that Theologians have made with the help of Satan in the last 500 years. Satan has been telling people when Jesus appears, that He will be the enemy. That's Satan entire defense. He does not want people to worship Jesus when He appears. Insane Theologians have been feeding the public with the wrong gospel of a preTribulation, Midtribulation, Post tribulation web of lies. Also Satan other defense against the Church is the pedophile scandal, that Jesus warned us about in Mathew chpt 18. Also the birth of Israel in 1948 proves that this is the last generation before the end where 1/3 of the human race is "Taken" to hell (psalm 110:6, Revelation chpt 9). Jesus will appear with all of His Angels and the Saints. He will at first live in The King David Hotel in Jerusalem. The Dome on the Rock will be removed and the Angels of Jesus Christ will rebuild the new Temple .. Mother Church and Jesus Christ will rule all the nations. The Star of David on the Israeli flag is really a Crown of Thorns.

The three leading millennial views -- postmillennialism, amillennialism, and premillennialism -- are presented in the context of their history, their theology, and their biblical interpretation. Dr. Walvoord presents postmillennialism first and then discusses amillennialism. However, the subject of premillenialism forms the main body of the work. The author introduces premillennialism with a survey of its historical background in the Old and New Testaments and in the history of the church. Its theological setting and methods of interpretation are discussed. A presentation of the character of the millennium concludes the volume.

Download or read book Return written by Kenny Underwood and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2022-03-09 with total page 96 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Can you detect it? Something is changing. Humanity seems restless and wanting. It is hard to find contentment, and our compassion for others is dulled as we strive to carry on and to take care of our own. Loneliness is spreading like a disease, and so much of the population feels an unquenchable emptiness. Perhaps it’s time to recognize the quiet voice speaking to us and warning us of an approaching finale that must be acknowledged. Before Jesus left, He spoke with the disciples regarding His return. He warned them to remain expectant and vigilant. His message applies to each of us personally today. It is a message of hope and purpose. It is a message that seems, more than ever before, relevant to us today. Return takes us on an awe-inspiring journey requiring that we consider the kingdom of God and our place in time as we contemplate the events leading to the return of Christ. John quotes Jesus in Revelation 22:20, “Yes, I am coming soon.” And then John adds his own prayer, “Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.” Let us also add our own prayer request to John’s. Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

Book Come Lord Jesus

    Book Details:
  • Author : Stephen Motyer
  • Publisher : Inter-Varsity Press
  • Release : 2016-04-21
  • ISBN : 1783594640
  • Pages : 386 pages

Download or read book Come Lord Jesus written by Stephen Motyer and published by Inter-Varsity Press. This book was released on 2016-04-21 with total page 386 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: ‘The second coming of Jesus Christ is the core of the biblical worldview, the climax of the biblical message, the cornerstone of biblical theology, and the centrepiece of authentic biblical faith for the twenty-first century.’ At the heart of this bold opening statement by Stephen Motyer is the conviction that Jesus Christ is the ‘centre’ of the Scriptures, even though he only appears at the end. For the New Testament writers, Jesus Christ revolutionized their understanding of the Scriptures and gave them a new centre around which to interpret the work of God in the world – and the climax of that work is the ‘second coming’ of that same Jesus Christ. Jesus himself used the language of the Scriptures to promise his ‘coming again’, the ‘coming of the Son of Man’. Hence we need the whole of Scripture to understand what the second coming means for us today. The fact that the Bible ends with the prayer ‘Come, Lord Jesus!’ (Revelation 22:20) is deeply appropriate. The second coming is the ‘end’ of the biblical message, its ‘omega point’, its grand finale, the denouement when all the players in the drama of earth history, both human and angelic, are gathered in the drawing room to hear the Master unpack the plot and give the verdict. Motyer’s comprehensive, stimulating study is divided into two parts. Part One, ‘The biblical frame’, examines three Old Testament passages and lays the foundation for Part Two, ‘New Testament hopes and visions’, which explores a series of key texts. He focuses on the second coming, rather than on millennialism or the ‘end times’, in order to provide the fundamental biblical theology that must underlie our whole sense of God’s future for his world.

Book Dogmatic Constitution on Divine Revelation

Download or read book Dogmatic Constitution on Divine Revelation written by Pope Paul VI. and published by . This book was released on 1965 with total page 30 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This document's purpose is to spell out the Church's understanding of the nature of revelation--the process whereby God communicates with human beings. It touches upon questions about Scripture, tradition, and the teaching authority of the Church. The major concern of the document is to proclaim a Catholic understanding of the Bible as the "word of God." Key elements include: Trinitarian structure, roles of apostles and bishops, and biblical reading in a historical context.
