Download or read book Miniature Schnauzer Training Dog Training for Your Miniature Schnauzer Puppy written by Claudia Kaiser and published by . This book was released on 2020-05-24 with total page 118 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Miniature Schnauzer Training - Dog Training for your Miniature Schnauzer puppy The training of dogs is often... ... confused with classical dog training drills ... only considered necessary for demanding dogs ... mocked by other dog owners ... replaced by anti-authoritarian methods ... considered too difficult to achieve without experience. What constitutes dog training and what is it good for? And how can you and your Miniature Schnauzer profit from it without having any experience? The most important thing is to understand how a dog sees his world, what is "normal" for him and how you can use this to your advantage. In addition, the characteristics of each breed are significant when you get beyond the basic training phase. Your Miniature Schnauzer will show characteristics which are different to those of a Husky, for example, and this is predominantly what you need to consider during training. This book is vol. 1 of the Miniature Schnauzer training books. Vol. 2 for your grown up Miniature Schnauzer is also available with the title "Miniature Schnauzer Training Vol. 2: Dog Training for your grown-up Miniature Schnauzer" Author Claudia Kaiser says about her book: "It was my desire to let other dog owners profit from the knowledge I have gained over many years, and after making many mistakes. I love my dog and know how important it is to adapt the training to suit each breed. It is exactly this desire that prompted me to write this book. My aim is to help every beginner, not only to understand his dog better, but also to know exactly how to get the best results, step-by-step, so that you can achieve a close, positive and trusting human-dog relationship." Quench your curiosity to know about background information, read reports on other experiences and obtain step-by-step instructions and secret tips which are tailor-made for your Miniature Schnauzer. Get your copy of this book today and experience... ... how your Miniature Schnauzer sees his world ... and how you can progressively train your dog to receive the best results. Your Miniature Schnauzer will appreciate it... ... so this is my advice: Don't hesitate to buy this book! Content of this book: About the Author Preface What you need to know about your Miniature Schnauzer Cornerstones of training puppies Before the puppy arrives The first few weeks The first commands Training basic knowledge Special Chapter - The hunting instinct Check list for the start Conclusion

Download or read book Dog Grooming Simplified written by Jodi Murphy and published by . This book was released on 2014-08-15 with total page 496 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Jodi has been well respected as an educator in the grooming industry for many years. She is one of the top pet stylists in the world winning multiple titles included World Grand Champion and Best American Groomer. She is here to share her knowledge in this extraordinary book. With over 190 breeds recognized by the American Kennel Club along with individual breed-specific grooming instructions, it can become very overwhelming for new groomers to retain the information. Straight to the Point is the solution to learning about pattern lines, which simplifies the learning process. Whether the patterns are set tight or left more natural, the patterns are set in the same fashion. Once a groomer understands basic patterns he or she will be able to groom any breed with ease. The dogs pictured in this book are top winning show dogs presenting the correct profile according to their breed standards. Jodi chose to illustrate this way for several reasons. First, a show dog presents an excellent representation of the breed and how it should be groomed per the breed standard. Second, the reader will be able to see the realistic depth and dimensions of the coat. Last, it will give the reader a vision of the pattern in a realistic view and will be a great reference source when grooming each breed.Once the groomer understands correct pattern placement, it can easily be applied to pet trims. A pet dog does not have to be groomed using show techniques, i.e., hand stripping, to present the proper breed profile. With proper pattern placement and techniques described in this text, the groomer will be able to present a well-balanced, well-blended pet trim to the pet owner.

Download or read book Giant Schnauzer written by Barbara J. Andrews and published by Fox Chapel Publishing. This book was released on 2012-04-17 with total page 324 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One of Germany's most auspicious contributions to the dog world is the impressive Giant Schnauzer, a purebred dog of unmistakable style and superb working ability. Recognizable for prominent facial furnishings;beard, eye brows, and moustache;his blunt-wedged muzzle, and his solid, muscular "giant" stature, the Giant Schnauzer is the largest of the Fatherland's three schnauzer breeds. The breed today enjoys a true international following stretching from Europe to America and England to South America and beyond. As the author discusses in the chapter on the breed's characteristics, this level-headed working dog is not aggressive by nature, but he is fearless and determined, requiring an owner with a great sense of humor, much patience, and good dog sense. A member of the AKC Working Group, the Giant Schnauzer is called upon to guard homes and estates and to work side by side with military and police personnel, though the breed is by nature docile, extremely intelligent, and highly trainable.New owners will welcome the well-prepared chapter on finding a reputable breeder and selecting a healthy, sound puppy. Chapters on puppy-proofing the home and yard, purchasing the right supplies for the puppy as well as house-training, feeding, and grooming are illustrated with photographs of handsome adults and puppies. In all, there are over 135 full-color photographs in this useful and reliable volume. The author's advice on obedience training will help the reader better mold and train into the most well-mannered dog in the neighborhood. The extensive and lavishly illustrated chapter on healthcare provides up-to-date detailed information on selecting a qualified veterinarian, vaccinations, preventing and dealing with parasites, infectious diseases, and more. Sidebars throughout the text offer helpful hints, covering topics as diverse as historical dogs, breeders, or kennels, toxic plants, first aid, crate training, carsickness, fussy eaters, and parasite control. Fully indexed.

Book The Giant Schnauzer A Complete and Comprehensive Owners Guide To Buying Owning Health Grooming Training Obedience Understanding and

Download or read book The Giant Schnauzer A Complete and Comprehensive Owners Guide To Buying Owning Health Grooming Training Obedience Understanding and written by Michael Stonewood and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2019-04-03 with total page 118 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Giant Schnauzer is a working breed of dog that originates from Germany and was developed during the 17th century. The breed is also commonly known as the 'Munich Schnauzer, ' the 'Munchener' and the 'Russian Bear Schnauzer.' The breed has a large and varied ancestral history with the most notable breeds being: the Great Dane, the Bouvier des Flandres and the German Pinscher. The first Giant Schnauzer emerged from the German state of Bavaria and was originally considered to be a rough-coated variant of the German Pinscher breed. The breed's hair is believed to have been developed to help the Giant Schnauzer withstand the extreme coldness of the German winter and also to minimize damage from vermin bites. The breed was originally bred and developed to be a multipurpose farm dog and was mainly tasked with guardian property and driving animals to market. By the turn of the 20th century the Giant Schnauzer was a common choice for guarding and watching over factories, breweries, stockyards and butcheries throughout the state of Bavaria. The breed was widely unknown outside Bavaria, until it was used as a military dog during the course of the first and second World Wars. In modern times the Giant Schnauzer is mainly used as a police dog and as a general household companion. The breed makes an excellent police dog and household pet due to the fact that the Giant Schnauzer breed is known to be incredibly loyal, obedient and suspicious of strangers. The temperament of dogs is normally affected by the following factors: individual personality, heredity, training and socialization. It is therefore important to make sure that you meet the puppy's mother before purchasing a Giant Schnauzer. It is also important to make sure to thoroughly socialize your Giant Schnauzer with strangers, children and other animals during its puppyhood. It is important to note that as a working breed, the Giant Schnauzer has a high amount of energy which needs to be expended. If the Giant Schnauzer has a buildup of energy it is likely to develop destructive behaviors due to boredom or hyperactivity. The Giant Schnauzer's coat comes in two color variants: black and a pattern known as pepper and salt. The Giant Schnauzer is a breed of dog that has a double coat. The Giant Schnauzer's outer coat is short, wiry, dense and hard with hairs that stand up from the skin while its undercoat is generally very soft. Before purchasing any pet it is important to understand that as a pet owner you are responsible for the care and wellbeing of your pet. It is important to try and learn as much as you can about the animal you are considering to keep as a pet to make sure that your lifestyle, household and financial status are suited to provide your pet with the best possible care. This guide has been designed to provide you with both precise and concise information about a Giant Schnauzer's basic needs to help you provide your pet with the best quality care practices. This guide will give an in-depth explanation on training your Giant Schnauzer, raising your Giant Schnauzer from a puppy, grooming, health care and everything in between! "The Giant Schnauzer: A Complete and Comprehensive Owners Guide to: Buying, Owning, Health, Grooming, Training, Obedience, Understanding and Caring for Your Giant Schnauzer," by Michael Stonewood is the perfect purchase or gift for a first time Giant Schnauzer owner.
