For more than a week, I've been pondering about this verse: "This gift has been given to me, who am less than the least of all saints, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable treasures of Christ" (Ephesians 3:8 KJV). Christ's unsearchable, endless, limitless, and mysterious riches are unfathomable, limitless, and mysterious. This is the true beauty of the mysterious. The term "mystery" is one of my favorites because it implies secrecy. It suggests that we have been given the privilege of searching God's heart for revelation. This verse, along with these concepts, has piqued my interest and left me wanting more. Proverbs 25:2 (NIV) It is the glory of God to keep anything hidden, but it is the honor of kings to discover what is hidden. It goes without saying that this secret of the boundless richness of ourselves and what we are alludes to the mystery of the Gospel. Consider the whole extent of the cross's wealth and understanding. Grace will never come to an end. It piques my interest and makes me want to know more. Is it possible for us to truly realize that He is thinking about us? We have been born again (reborn) and have been gifted with every spiritual blessing that Christ has to offer. Consider the splendor of the resurrection—walking with God and doing wonders. These are just a few of the great mysteries of the gospel, and there are many others. You could spend all of eternity studying the beauty, mystery, power, mercy, and majesty of the cross, and still not be able to comprehend everything! It is completely inaccessible! We also have the Mind of Christ with us at all times. That God wishes to share His mysteries, including the secrets of the universe, with us is even more incredible. This is the ultimate goal of closeness and friendship with His Spirit, according to the Bible. In us, we have the Spirit of wisdom and insight who will convey the truths of the Gospel as it is revealed to them. Wow!!

Paul said to us, "That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints" (Ephesians 1:17-18). The local assembly that we call a church has become very weak, especially in terms of the spirituality of the saints in those churches. I have seen that with my own eyes and heard with my own ears. Therefore, the blessed Lord God has led me to study and write and share with my brothers and sisters in Christ. The edification of the saints of God is very important to the salvation of the lost. Paul said, "Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ." So what we learn from the scripture by the Holy Spirit is crucial for God's people. The Holy Spirit has laid on my heart to strengthen the local church by publishing this book for the spared of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

His Lordship, indeed, is universal, and hence has reference to men as such, though at the same time He sustains this relationship in a special way towards believers. The Apostle Peter declared this truth on the day of Pentecost. Therefore, he said, let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ (Acts ii. 36). So also St. Paul: for after describing the long descent of Christ from being in the form of God, down to His being found in fashion as a man, and humbling Himself, and becoming obedient unto death, even the death of the cross, he says, Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Phil. ii.6-n). The Lord Jesus Himself, after His resurrection, says, All power is given unto Me in heaven and earth (Matt. xxviii. 18). Once more, St. Peter, dealing with another aspect of the same truth, tells us of false teachers who shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord1 that bought them (2 Peter ii. 1). We have then, so far, two things: first, that God has made Christ Lord on the ground of redemption, giving Him this place of universal supremacy to mark His appreciation (if we may thus reverently speak) of the work which He had wrought out by His death; and secondly, that, as we saw in the last chapter, Christ has acquired Lordship over all by purchase. The translation of the books into modern English was accomplished by Henry Benedict Mackey, an English priest and scholar whose piety and knowledge of the saintly virtues allowed for accuracy and authenticity.

Whoever reads them with the proper dispositions will discover in them an indefinable something that appeals to the heart and stirs it to its very depths. We imagine we see the loving personality of the holy Bishop before us, and hear the words of eternal life from his very lips. According to a beautiful legend, the visitor at the shrine of St. John at Ephesus can hear the pulsations of the Saint's heart enclosed in the tomb. The heart of Alphonsus still throbs in his ascetical writings, where the whole being of the Saint seems enshrined.
