In the compilation of the diocesan records, given in detail in the Ap pendices, time and labour have been Spent in order that those records may be set forth fully and accurately. These facts, many of which are published for the first time, are recorded not for controversial purposes, but in the hope that they have a positive historical interest and value; and in the endeavour to give a history of some of the main events in the history of the Church in Wales, it has been my constant desire to state the facts truthfully.
