Book The Unspoken Language of Men

Download or read book The Unspoken Language of Men written by Dr. Ron Mercer Ph.D. and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2011-12-29 with total page 163 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: BOOK SUMMARY Men are often stereotyped, misunderstood, judged, and as a result inappropriately generalized into specific projected categories which oftentimes have nothing to do with their authentic self. As a result, from the time the little boy comes into our world, he is greeted by an array of expectations, obligations, social roles, etc., which also oftentimes knock him off the track of who he actually is and what path he truly wants to take in life. Because men, as little boys, throughout the ages have been raised to perform and to essentially not express or verbalize emotion or feelings, their thoughts have gone unheard. Thus the evolution of “Unspoken Language,” a story if you will (with specific academic descriptions) of the social, psychological, as well as anthropological history of male behavior, personality and expression of emotion. The essence of the book is based on the Jungian archetype theory of how men are governed by ancient predispositions toward behavior and subsequently how it impacts their lives and interpersonal relationships. It is my hope the”Unspoken Language” will open up a new paradigm of both understanding why men behave as they do, as well as encourage men to explore ways to discover their own hidden language, and to enhance their well-being and that of individuals who they journey through this life with.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: By expanding the definition of "epistle" to include any writing that addresses the intended receiver directly, JaHyun Kim Haboush introduces readers to the rich epistolary practice of Chos?n Korea. The Chos?n dynasty (1392-1910) produced an abundance of epistles, writings that mirror the genres of neighboring countries (especially China) while retaining their own specific historical trajectory. Written in both literary Chinese and vernacular Korean, the writings collected here range from royal public edicts to private letters, a fascinating array that blurs the line between classical and everyday language and the divisions between men and women. Haboush's selections also recast the relationship between epistolography and the concept of public and private space. Haboush groups her epistles according to where they were written and read: public letters, letters to colleagues and friends, social letters, and family letters. Then she arranges them according to occasion: letters on leaving home, deathbed letters, letters of fiction, and letters to the dead. She examines the mechanics of epistles, their communicative space, and their cultural and political meaning. With its wholly unique collection of materials, Epistolary Korea produces more than a vivid chronicle of pre- and early modern Korean life. It breaks new ground in establishing the terms of a distinct, non-European form of epistolography.

Book excerpt: Whoever has the Right of Sapiens, the one must assume the Duty of Sapiens equally and co-equally... Whoever assumes the Right and Duty of Sapiens alike must become a Dimension of Sapiens, which Dimension of Sapiens must be a maximum generality of Determination of Sapiens... When the Law / Duty of Sapiens, when the Size / Determination of Sapiens are deeply set and attuned to the Destiny of Sapiens, then this whole Field of Sapiens in Coming and Becoming, this Cult of Sapiens, this Forum of Sapiens, must always be regenerated and revitalized by all creators and authors in Sapiens, in science, in technology, in economics, in art, in sociology, in historiography, in mediology, in philosophy, in psychology, in theology, as re-sensing and resuscitation of Sapiens, for the fulfillment of Sapient of Sapiens, towards the Self-Overcoming of Sapiens, as individuality, as generality and as syncretic universality, all as synonymous with the triad of Nature de Sapiens, the Cult of Sapiens and the Culture of Sapiens, the only planetary Species capable of creating human and SapientoHuman civilizations, thus blessing the universe, the nature and itself through its logicality and ontology... In Debt of Sapiens Duty of Sapiens, we will take over critically, syncretically, synthetically and analytically, the great meanings of ennobling the creative being in the Law of Sapiens, which will be amplified and accelerated to launch into the orbits of spirituality and creativity of Sapiens as EnnobledSapiens, or Sapiens-Enriched, BereicherungSapiens, or Sapiens through Sapiens, all as a source and resource of the sapientic self in its immanence and transcendence, through which Sapiens reveals oneself as a proud creator and explorer of verses, of universes, of adversities, of causalities and temporospatialities for self-transcendence, through effort, through study, through becoming, through differentiation, through creation, assuming a triad of physical – biophysical – metaphysical, reunited in their duality of videological and digital expression... Indebted to Sapiens

Book Handbook of Hyper real Religions

Download or read book Handbook of Hyper real Religions written by and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2012-03-28 with total page 456 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Today a new trend is clearly discernable, that of ‘hyper-real religions’. These are innovative religions and spiritualities that mix elements of religious traditions with popular culture. If we imagine a spectrum of intensity of the merging of popular culture with religion, we might find, at one end, groups practicing Jediism appropriated from the Star Wars movies, Matrixism from the Matrix trilogy, and neo-pagan rites based on stories from The Lord of the Rings and the Harry Potter series. At the other end of the spectrum, members of mainstream religions, such as Christianity can be influenced or inspired by, for example, The Da Vinci Code. Through various case studies, this book studies the on- and off-line religious/spiritual consumption of these narratives through a social scientific approach.
