Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Praise for the online version of The Role of the Least-Aspected Planet: 'Couteau's astrocartography is not only a good primer on locational astrology but a cogent presentation of his theory that the least-aspected planet in anyone's chart is a key to understanding not only the horoscope but also the person's place in the world ... Celebrity and historical charts aplenty illustrate Couteau's thesis ... He also explains how midpoints, 'parans,' and other complications figure into his Transcendental Planet scheme.... and he furnishes ample case studies in support of his theory, both in terms of biographies and in relation to historic events. There's a great deal more besides ... and there's even a second volume with more on Transcendental Planets.' - Richard Nolle, author of Interpreting Astrology; Critical Astrology; and Chiron. 'I've just checked into your Web site, and I am extremely impressed with your discoveries and presentation! Thank you. Please know that your work requires / deserves much time for study and assimilation.... I feel it is really a 'book' that all of us should study.' - Noel Tyl, author of Synthesis & Counseling In Astrology: The Professional Manual. 'Your material is superb ... Because of my interest in aspects as well as Astro*Carto*Graphy, I found your discussion of least-aspected planets very interesting ... Had never looked at this concept in astrocartography before and am excited with what I've found.' - Donna Van Toen, author of The Astrologer's Node Book and The Mars Book. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Authored in 1649 CE by Balabhadra Daivajña, court astrologer to Shāh Shujāʿ – governor of Bengal and second son of the Mughal emperor Shāh Jahān – it casts light on the historical development of the Tājika school by extensive quotations from earlier works spanning five centuries. With this first-ever scholarly edition and translation of a Tājika text, Martin Gansten makes a significant contribution not only to the study of an important but little known knowledge tradition, but also to the intellectual historiography of Asia and the transmission of horoscopic astrology in the medieval and early modern periods.

A short introduction to each composer and a background to his/her work is included

Book CS08 Horary Astrology

Download or read book CS08 Horary Astrology written by C. C. Zain and published by light.org. This book was released on 2014-04-27 with total page 186 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the eighth book in the 21 Brotherhood of Light Course series by C. C. Zain on the Hermetic Sciences, Astrology, Alchemy, Tarot, Kabbalah and the Occult. A horary chart is a map of the mental factors active in the mind of the querent at the time and place a question is asked. This branch of astrology is used to discern the nature of the past, present, and future of the matter inquired about. This book is suitable for beginning, intermediate and advanced students of astrology. It provides a complete treatise on Horary and Electional astrology, in addition to providing the basic technical aspects of chart delineation. The first two chapters provide the beginning or intermediate student with all the important concepts for interpreting any horoscope: natal or horary, and are required reading for the more advanced courses in natal astrology. Chapters three through five teach the student how to interpret a horary chart erected to answer a particular question posed by the querent. Chapter six covers Electional astrology and teaches the student how to select the best time for any undertaking. The final two chapters cover the technical aspects of calculating a horoscope and constructing an astrological chart. This course is often chosen by beginning students of astrology for its technical lesson “How to Erect a Horoscope” as well as for its clearly organized system for judging any astrological chart.

Book Mundane Astrology The Astrology of Nations and States

Download or read book Mundane Astrology The Astrology of Nations and States written by H. S. Green and published by Astrology Center of America. This book was released on 2005-03 with total page 324 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Will there be peace? Will there be war? Find out with Mundane Astrology. Here, in one volume, are three classic books on the astrology of nations and states, by H.S. Green, Raphael, and C.E.O. Carter: H.S. Green organizes his book planet-by- planet. He tells what each planet will do in the 12 houses. Raphael organizes the topic by house. He tells how mundane houses work when planets are in them. In addition, both authors deal with solar and lunar eclipses, and earthquakes. Green shows the effects of eclipses in the houses, while Raphael describes them by decanate (100 sections of the zodiac). Both mention the effects of comets, although little about these mysterious bodies is known astrologically. Charles Carter, writing after WWII, discusses why astrologers failed to predict the war and what that means for mundane astrology. His plea for better data has largely been met, but the need for more study remains. All three authors give astrological rulerships for countries and cities. These are centuries old and are weighted to England and Europe. Carter's rulers are the most up-to-date. These are the essential texts for serious study of mundane astrology. About the Authors H.S. Green was an astrologer associated with Alan Leo's astrological revival back in the first decade of the 20th century. His various books are highly regarded (all but this one out of print, sadly), but biographical details are sketchy. Raphael was the pen-name of one Robert Cross, 1850-1923. He was the sixth in a series of astrological writers who used the name "Raphael" & remains the best known of them all. He wrote books on virtually all astrological topics. His book on mundane astrology dates from 1910. Charles E.O. Carter, 1887-1968, was one of the outstanding British astrologers of the 20th century. He succeeded Alan Leo as head of the Astrological Lodge of the Theosophical Society, a post he held from 1920 to 1952. He was editor of Astrology, The Astrologer's Quarterly, from 1926 to 1959. Carter's persistent genius reestablished astrology as a serious discipline in England, after two centuries of decline. He wrote his book on Mundane Astrology in reaction to the failure of astrologers to forecast WWII. In 1939, astrologers in London knew there was a full-scale war on in China, they knew the situation with Germany was tense, but they had studied the charts for the year, they knew the fuss would blow over. And they were wrong. Carter set out to discover why, his book was the result.
