Book The Resurrection of the Creators

Download or read book The Resurrection of the Creators written by Herman Willett and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2010-06-12 with total page 147 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Everyone knows the common stories of creation on earth and humanity. Every religion has almost the same story, even very similar character names. Have you ever wondered why so many religions have the same story and the same pre-history? Perhaps it is because they all experienced the same event in pre-history before they got split across the planet and lost contact with each other and yet the stories of creation remained. There have been theories expressed that a group of advanced beings seeded the galaxies in the ancient past. However, what if this is only partly the case. Lets take a look back into one possible pre-history event that might give rise to such stories of creation. Once such advanced civilization had advanced intergalactic space travel capabilities. This is the story of that civilization starting with their home planet.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: As the first comprehensive study in the twentieth century of Luther's concept of the Holy Spirit, this book should be welcomed by every serious student of Luther's theology - for although Luther's view of the Holy Spirit dominates every aspect of his vast theological output, it is not always easy to discover what he really thought. Historians and theologians have at different times come to varying conclusions, based on the same fundamental writings of Luther. Enthusiastic followers of the Reformer, in their efforts to convince others, have from time to time fallen into the temptation to oversimplify his teachings. Spiritus Creator is the answer to this confusion. Laying aside the numerous interpretations of others, Regin Prenter, a noted Danish Theologian and scholar, presents Luther's thought itself. In this study he does not ask where Luther's thoughts came from, or how they developed; he asks only what Luther thought. Questioning, for example, whether Luther's view of the Holy Spirit was really so traditional, so much colored by medieval thought patterns as has been widely assumed, Dr. Prenter shows how Luther used Augustinian terms - the vocabulary of his age - yet gave them new content, even new definitions. He demonstrates how Luther's concept of the Holy Spirit did indeed take shape in a traditional form but that it then grew into what is for all Protestants a crucial, evangelical insight. Spiritus Creator is divided into two parts: the concept of the Holy Spirit before Luther had to defend his teachings from the distortions of enthusiasts, and this same concept during his struggle with the enthusiasts. This pattern gives the author opportunity to present the basic statements of the early period without reference to the polemical situation of Luther's later life. It also demonstrates the essential continuity that gives Luther's concept of the Holy Spirit importance for the thinking of all ages - our own not excluded.

Book The Resurrection Of Humanity

Download or read book The Resurrection Of Humanity written by Om and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2011-03-17 with total page 124 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The physical destruction of our world is not what we should fear the most, it is the massive memory loss of self causing the extinction of humanity. Our lines of consciousness are so out of alignment that we frequently forget to do things and forget where we've put things. Even the Cosmos shows these horrible, disorganized patterns of energy. There is not one visualization of galaxies or supernovas being perfectly circular with perfectly concentric circles of matter. The only perfect patterns of energy being created are crop circles and nature by the magnetic energy of Mother Earth's love. Forgetfulness, Alzhiemers, amnesia and cancer are at pandemic levels. Cancer, which is memory loss at the cellular level has touched the lives of nearly every American family, spreading quickly to all regions of the world. There is scientific proof that we are entering a photon belt of energy which is causing major disturbances in the electromagnetic fields, but also in our trains of thought. If by the end of 2012 we have not resurrected our form, the photonic energy will fragment our thoughts, and no matter how powerful or rich you are, or how much you repent and finally accept the truth, we will all be destroyed. At first, those who are reaching higher levels of consciousness will be spared, but without the rest of us, they too will descend into total darkness. We are ONE, and we need each other to survive. Take heed and take action by electing in a Holistic Governance, bringing health and happiness to every single person and life form on, in and around our loving Mother Earth, Gaia.

Book Saint Augustine on the Resurrection of Christ

Download or read book Saint Augustine on the Resurrection of Christ written by Gerald O'Collins and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2017-04-01 with total page 160 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Despite an enormous amount of literature on St Augustine of Hippo, this work provides the first examination of what he taught about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Augustine expounded Christ's resurrection in his sermons, letters, Answer to Faustus the Manichean, the City of God, Expositions of the Psalms, and the Trinity. Saint Augustine on the Resurrection of Christ: Teaching, Rhetoric, and Reception explores what Augustine held about the centrality of Christ's resurrection from the dead, the agency of Christ's resurrection, and the nature of his risen existence. Leading scholar, Gerald O'Collins, investigates the impact of his resurrection on others and his mediatory role as the risen High Priest. O'Collins then unpicks Augustine's rhetorical justification for the resurrection of Christ: evidence from creation, human history, and the desires of all human beings. This groundbreaking study illustrates the enduring significance of Augustine's teaching on and apologetic for the resurrection, and updates, augments, and corrects what Augustine held.

Book Christ as Creator

Download or read book Christ as Creator written by Sean M. McDonough and published by OUP Oxford. This book was released on 2009-11-26 with total page 320 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book examines the New Testament teaching that Christ was the one through whom God made the world. While scholars usually interpret this doctrine as arising from the equation of Jesus and the Wisdom of God, Sean McDonough argues that it had its roots in the church's memories of Jesus' miracles. These memories, coupled with the experience of spiritual renewal in the early church, established Jesus as the definitive agent of God's new creation in the New Testament writings and the teachings of the Early Church. Following the logic that 'the end is like the beginning' Christ was taken to be the agent of primal creation. This insight was developed in light of Old Testament creation texts, viewed from within a 'messianic matrix' of interpretation. God gives his Word, his Spirit, and his Wisdom to his Messiah from the very beginning; and the Messiah, the radiance of God's glory, establishes the cosmos in accordance with God's purposes. Creation is the beginning of messianic dominion; he rules the world he made. McDonough carefully substantiates his thesis through a detailed exegesis of the relevant New Testament texts in the context of related texts in Judaism and Greco-Roman philosophy. He concludes with a survey of the doctrine of Christ as Creator in the work of six theologians: Justin Martyr, Irenaeus, Athanasius, Karl Barth, Jürgen Moltmann, and Wolfhart Pannenberg.

The Evidence of the Missing Body -- Was Jesus' body really absent from his tomb? The Evidence of Appearances -- Was Jesus seen alive after his death on the cross? Written in a hard-hitting journalistic style, The Case for Easter probes the core issues of the resurrection. Jesus Christ, risen from the dead: superstitious myth or life-changing reality? Book Vision of the Creator

Download or read book Vision of the Creator written by Marco Carbone and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2023-06-05 with total page 624 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Isaiah 2:4 “And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.” AKJV (Psalms 67:4). The Holy Bible is the most widely distributed, least understood book in the history of creation. Due to early understandings and handed down traditions of world renowned teachers, the Holy Bible was falsely interpreted in many areas (James 3:1-6). To this day, many of the past, incorrect teachings are still being upheld and taught (2 Peter 3:15-16). The spreading of misinformation, throughout the world, has failed the masses (Jeremiah 8:8-16, Matthew 7:24-27, Romans 2:24-25). Since the beginning of time, mankind has searched for the meaning and purpose of life, to gain understanding of the very purpose of existence (Acts 17:21-23). Knowing the true destiny of humanity enlightens the conscience in the way of true reality (Luke 11:34-36). Discovering the very origin and voyages of life, removes all non essential searching. Oneness with the origin of life, brings one to a place of true comfort and healing for the entire body (Proverbs 3:7-10, 22). Humanity is more than ever before seeking connectivity and oneness with alien spirits of higher dimensions, energies, forces of the earth, universe and realms beyond (Deuteronomy 4:19, 2 Chronicles 28:22-23, Daniel 12:4, Romans 1:25). The existence and condition of the creation before the earth was created, the realm beyond the universe, the fulfillment of the destiny that awaits mankind, causes of the human condition, are made known. Is GOD MALE AND FEMALE? etc. This book clearly and thoroughly brings out the revelent facts of such topics and much more (Jeremiah 33:2-3). This book, without leaving any doubts, reveals how to invoke and have proper communion with THE CREATOR, how THE CREATOR is blessing, saving, glorifying the Gentiles (Romans 3:29-30) and how GOD chooses HIS first fruits (Leviticus 27:32). Inspiration received is to provide true doctrine which leads to understanding (Luke 24:28-32), regarding matters such as transcendency through fire, the milllenial ages, the last days etc. Understanding numerical values, patterns and alignments etc, as written in the Holy Bible, unlocks essential information regarding the physical and spiritual purposes for life on earth, relationships between humanity and the unseen spirit, alien world, the generations, closing of the ages, the afterlife (John 18:36, Acts 1:9-11, Revelation 3:21). For the first time in history, many unknown mysteries of THE CREATOR, hidden from ages past, are made known (Isaiah 46:9-10, Ephesians 1:3-10). THE VISION OF THE CREATOR consists of the revealing of HIS very CHARACTER and works, through HIS creation (Psalm 22:19-25, Jonah 2:2-10). Proof of what the writings of the Holy Bible actually reveal, through the SPIRIT of the letters, is obtainable in this must read book (Matthew 23:34, Ephesians 3:1-9). Revelation 21:4 “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” AKJV (Psalm 22:27-31).

Download or read book The Resurrection of Jesus written by Dale C. Allison, Jr. and published by Bloomsbury Publishing. This book was released on 2021-03-11 with total page 663 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The earliest traditions around the narrative of Jesus' resurrection are considered in this landmark work by Dale C. Allison, Jr, drawing together the fruits of his decades of research into this issue at the very core of Christian identity. Allison returns to the ancient sources and earliest traditions, charting them alongside the development of faith in the resurrection in the early church and throughout Christian history. Beginning with historical-critical methodology that examines the empty tomb narratives and early confessions, Allison moves on to consider the resurrection in parallel with other traditions and stories, including Tibetan accounts of saintly figures being assumed into the light, in the chapter “Rainbow Body”. Finally, Allison considers what might be said by way of results or conclusions on the topic of resurrection, offering perspectives from both apologetic and sceptical viewpoints. In his final section of “modest results” he considers scholarly approaches to the resurrection in light of human experience, adding fresh nuance to a debate that has often been characterised in overly simplistic terms of “it happened” or “it didn't”.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Areopagus speech of Acts provides a helpful study of how Paul both engaged and confronted the contemporary culture of his day to present the message of Christianity to his hearers in Athens. How does Paul, as a Jew, contextualize the message for his audience of Stoic and Epicurean philosophers in Athens on the topic of God as Creator in Acts 17:24? Paul touches on a subject of contentious debate between Stoics and Epicureans when he identifies God as Creator. Stoics believed in a creating deity, something akin to Plato’s demiurge of the Timaeus. Epicureans ridiculed such an idea. By using the identification of God as Creator, Paul engages a common controversy between schools of philosophy.
