This book was released on 2021-06-01 with total page 58 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: God’s heart is redemptive in nature. God never quits on what He starts. He loves and saves to the uttermost, no matter what the cost. God always seeks to redeem and bring things back to Himself. We are called to be like Him, and hence our approach to life situations and to the problems we face must be redemptive as well. In this study, our goal is to understand and capture the redemptive heart of God, so that we will learn to view life’s situations with His redemptive eyes and learn to be coworkers with God in His redemptive process for things in our own lives as well as those around us. God’s redemptive process involves key elements of Time, Sacrifice, Forgiveness, and Restoration. We are here to be co-workers with God in this redemptive process. We must work with God, recognizing and following each element of His redemptive process, as He works to redeem things in our lives, as well as when we co-labor with Him to see His redemptive work take place in other people’s lives. What is it that you want God to redeem in your life? God is your Redeemer. Nothing is beyond His ability to redeem. You can look to Him in faith, no matter what your circumstances are and experience His redemptive work. This book will help you do this. Book Suffering and the Heart of God

Download or read book Suffering and the Heart of God written by Diane Langberg and published by New Growth Press. This book was released on 2015-09-01 with total page 316 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: She's seen slave dungeons in Ghana. Genocide in Rwanda. Systemic sexual abuse in Brazil. Child abuse and domestic violence in the US. After forty years of counseling abuse survivors around the world, Dr. Diane Langberg, a world renowned trauma expert, remains certain that what trauma destroys, Christ can and does restore. This book will convince you, too, of the healing heart of God. But it's not a fast process, instead much patience is required from family, friends, and counselors as they wisely and respectfully help victims unpack their traumatic suffering through talking, tears, and time. And it's not a process that can be separated from the work of God in both a counselor and counselee. Dr. Langberg calls all of those who wish to help sufferers to model Jesus's sacrificial love and care in how they listen, love, and guide. The heart of God is revealed to sufferers as they grow to understand the cross of Christ and how their God came to this earth and experienced such severe suffering that he too is "well-acquainted with grief." The cross of Christ is the lens that transforms and redeems traumatic suffering and its aftermath, not only for the sufferer, but it also transforms those who walk with the suffering. This book will be a great help to anyone who loves, listens to, and seeks to help someone impacted by trauma and abuse. There is no quick fix, but there is the hope for healing through the love of God in Christ.

Download or read book The Beauty of the Lord written by Jonathan King and published by Lexham Press. This book was released on 2018-05-30 with total page 452 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Why is God's beauty often absent from our theology? Rarely do theologians take up the theme of God's beauty—even more rarely do they consider how God's beauty should shape the task of theology itself. But the psalmist says that the heart of the believer's desire is to behold the beauty of the Lord. In The Beauty of the Lord, Jonathan King restores aesthetics as not merely a valid lens for theological reflection, but an essential one. Jesus, our incarnate Redeemer, displays the Triune God's beauty in his actions and person, from creation to final consummation. How can and should theology better reflect this unveiled beauty? The Beauty of the Lord is a renewal of a truly aesthetic theology and a properly theological aesthetics.

Book Heart of Jesus

  • Pages : 164 pages

Book excerpt: The heart has always been a symbol used to express emotion, hurt, rejection, human understanding, and above all, love. The Church, in its devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, wants to waken us to a God who has hungered and suffered, known joy and sorrow--a God with a heart. The thirty heart-centered meditations in this book dramatically illustrate our need to turn to the heart of Jesus as a way of overcoming modern disregard for life, justice and peace. Shows us that veneration of the Sacred Heart is more than a pious practice. It is a devotion deeply rooted in Scripture and tradition. This devotion is needed today to bring us to the deep, overflowing love of the heart of Jesus--the hope of reparation and the source of redemption for our world.
