Download or read book The Quran and Quantum Physics Hands Holding a Pen and the Heart written by Sebahat Malak and published by . This book was released on 2018-12-26 with total page 407 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: SCIENCE AND HEARTToday's human beings have realized that science and religion are not separate or distant concepts. The number of those who do not see science as a means of material development is increasing day by day. Material development can only be of benefit if it is implemented with spirituality and integrated into it. When these two types of formations are carried out together, the doors of success will be opened. This book is the product of this perspective, which demonstrates the importance of creating and executing systems in accordance with human nature, provides the reader with the opportunity to examine a wide range of subjects, from quantum physics to art, from divine thought to knowledge. Step-by-step describes it us the intersections of science and religion with quran verses with regard to works of many famous physicists like Heisenberg, Hawking, Einstein, Bohr. Setting aside the pervasive material bias of science reveals a surprisingly clear unity of science and religion. A brief insight into the book:EINSTEIN'S THEORY OF GENERAL RELATIVITY AND FLORENSKI'S REVERSE PERSPECTIVEAfter the failure of five-century of this experience, it seems that we have no choice but to admit that the image of the world created with perspective is not a state of perception, but as a result of the demands of as strong and highly abstract ideas as possible. (Pavel Florenski Reverse Perspective)Pavel Florenski used his characteristics of being a physicist, a mathematician and a pious person in his book Reverse Perspective, which became popular as his masterpiece. In his book, Florenski illuminates the paintings of the Renaissance period. It says that in artistic terms, the prayers, religiously surrenders within the works of that era lead the viewer to feel the truth of the painting as a whole with all of its dimensions, equal with a contemporary taste and that of the period it was produced, rather than examining it in detail and interpreting at the same time. The above quote, from Florenski's book, illuminates the issue that he persistently emphasizes. According to him, it is necessary to free the realm of the worlds of science and art. Because a situation or concept can never be explained. In such cases, inappropriate meanings are imposed on it. In other words, the subject becomes a target of misconception, in which the subject is removed from the reality of a centralist attitude.Florenski's period is also very important. As in all periods, all the work done at the beginning of the 20th century is the same point of departure and ideas that are part of each other. As a different example; the German philosopher of the 20th century Heidegger's understanding that takes the human from the subject center and situates him as an object in the universe can be shown. Therefore, in the parts that complete the whole period, while Florenski names the situation as Reverse Perspective, Einstein, the scientist of the same period calls it General Relativity. Their common conclusion is, on the other hand, the quantum mechanics.

Book The Quantum Theory Philosophy and God

Download or read book The Quantum Theory Philosophy and God written by Caner Taslaman and published by Cosmo Publishing. This book was released on 2020-10-04 with total page 315 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Quantum theory has shaken our understanding of the universe to its deepest foundations. Quantum theory raises deep and profound scientific, philosophical and theological issues. Consider several scientific issues: Is quantum indeterminism ontological (a reflection of reality) or epistemological (a reflection of human ignorance)? Does the universe have a place for chance? What is the famous Bohr-Einstein debate? Who won? What is Schrödinger’s famous cat and what does it teach us? Some philosophical issues: How do our metaphysical commitments affect the interpretation of quantum theory? How, given quantum theory, should we understand the laws of nature? What are the implications of quantum theory for the traditional metaphysics and epistemologies of, for example, Kant, Leibniz and Spinoza? Finally, what are the implications of this revolutionary theory for theology? Is it possible to construct a natural theology -a case for God based on nature- given quantum theory? Is “Divine action” possible given quantum uncertainties? Are there implications for the ongoing debates about miracles, free will and the problem of evil? This book, which seeks to answer these and many other questions, is highly recommended for those who value understanding quantum theory from and for philosophical and theological perspectives.

Book Culture and Imperialism

Download or read book Culture and Imperialism written by Edward W. Said and published by Vintage. This book was released on 2012-10-24 with total page 416 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A landmark work from the author of Orientalism that explores the long-overlooked connections between the Western imperial endeavor and the culture that both reflected and reinforced it. In the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, as the Western powers built empires that stretched from Australia to the West Indies, Western artists created masterpieces ranging from Mansfield Park to Heart of Darkness and Aida. Yet most cultural critics continue to see these phenomena as separate. Edward Said looks at these works alongside those of such writers as W. B. Yeats, Chinua Achebe, and Salman Rushdie to show how subject peoples produced their own vigorous cultures of opposition and resistance. Vast in scope and stunning in its erudition, Culture and Imperialism reopens the dialogue between literature and the life of its time.

Book The History of the Qur n

Download or read book The History of the Qur n written by Theodor Nöldeke and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2013-05-10 with total page 692 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This first complete translation of Theodor Nöldeke’s The History of the Qurʾān offers a foundational work of modern Qurʾānic studies to the English-speaking public. Nöldeke’s original publication, as revised and expanded over nearly three quarters of a century by his scholarly successors, Friedrich Schwally, Gotthelf Bergsträsser and Otto Pretzl, remains an indispensable resource for any scholarly work on the text of the Qurʾān. Nöldeke’s segmentation of the surahs into three Meccan periods and a Medinan one has shaped all subsequent discussions of the chronology of the Qurʾān. The revisions and expansions of Nöldeke’s initial discussions of the orthography and variant readings of the text have found a new audience among those contemporary scholars who seek to create a more sophisticated understanding of the Qurʾān’s textual development.

Book Writing Beyond Pen and Parchment

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What can stories of magical engraved rings or prophetic inscriptions on walls tell us about how writing was perceived before print transformed the world? Writing beyond Pen and Parchment introduces readers to a Middle Ages where writing is not confined to manuscripts but is inscribed in the broader material world, in textiles and tombs, on weapons or human skin. Drawing on the work done at the Collaborative Research Centre “Material Text Cultures,” (SFB 933) this volume presents a comparative overview of how and where text-bearing artefacts appear in medieval German, Old Norse, British, French, Italian and Iberian literary traditions, and also traces the paths inscribed objects chart across multiple linguistic and cultural traditions. The volume’s focus on the raw materials and practices that shaped artefacts both mundane or fantastical in medieval narratives offers a fresh perspective on the medieval world that takes seriously the vibrancy of matter as a vital aspect of textual culture often overlooked.
