Book The PTSD Warrior Healing Mindset

Download or read book The PTSD Warrior Healing Mindset written by Diana Giorgetti, MSEdL and published by Diana Giorgetti. This book was released on 2018-06-30 with total page 75 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: To everyone battling the monster of PTSD, this is your time to break free and reclaim your life! The only way to BeatPTSD™ is to change your perception about it. Reading this book and thinking about healing in a creative way is a great start! You must first change your mindset around the topic of PTSD. When you see healing progress, don’t be scared of it and don’t stop there. You should treat PTSD and the accompanying symptoms like a great friend. Be comfortable around it, talk openly and honestly about it, and allow it to flow in and out of your life. If you look at PTSD like it’s the enemy, then it will only show up that way in your life and you will always resist change and affect progress. Think about it differently, open your mind to it, and allow it to flow in so that it can flow out without affecting you. So many people with PTSD say they want to have regular days, or they are frustrated they don’t have enough of them, but do you actually know how much you want to heal? Most people say they just want “to heal.” They don’t say “I want to stop being hypervigilant within a month.” You must be specific with how much you want to progress and by when if you want to set yourself up to win. You’re going to start to measure and get very clear on your Healing Mindset.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Your heart knows the way to heal, how to master your mind to love, and to accept and forgive the parts of you forgotten. War had closed my heart. But I was ready to stop disconnecting and save myself. After multiple deployments in the Royal Australian Army and time spent supporting the Special Air Service Regiment, Matthew Bruce was left numb to compassion, empathy and love. Warriors' War explains how trauma, depression and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) are affecting the globe; past and present. It provides a map to understand the depths of trauma and how to move towards healing the heart and mind. The heart of this trauma recovery book focuses on navigating the transition with balance and demonstrates that healing depends on our actions and perceptions of PTSD as a disconnection of identity. Once we truly understand how our minds are relating to the stress and stimulation of the outside world, we can use simple proven daily practices to create a truly limitless life. Through implementing small changes and taking radical responsibility for our own state of mind, we can grow deeply, release anger and move through the trauma of the past. As one of the more considered books about trauma healing, it's calling on men across the planet to stand up together and take accountability for the level of detachment and the cost this projection has on our relationships and communities. The author's methods draw on his own fruitful healing modalities and ancient traditions worldwide to restore the soul and spirit so that men can truly come home to modern society, loved ones and self. Loaded with free online content, this book about trauma healing will help everyone understand that they have the power to remove the PTSD label so they can thrive.

Book The Trauma Tool Kit

  • Author : Susan Pease Banitt
  • Publisher : Quest Books
  • Release : 2012-12-19
  • ISBN : 0835630412
  • Pages : 330 pages

Download or read book The Trauma Tool Kit written by Susan Pease Banitt and published by Quest Books. This book was released on 2012-12-19 with total page 330 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 2013 Nautilus Silver Award Winner! In 2010 the Department of Veterans Affairs cited 171,423 Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans diagnosed with PTSD, out of 593,634 total patients treated. That’s almost 30 percent; other statistics show 35 percent. Nor, of course, is PTSD limited to the military. In twenty years as a therapist, Susan Pease Banitt has treated trauma in patients ranging from autistic children to women with breast cancer; from underage sex slaves to adults incapacitated by early childhood abuse. Doctors she interviewed in New York report that, even before 9/11, most of their patients had experienced such extreme stress that they had suffered physical and mental breakdowns. Those doctors agree with Pease Banitt that stress is the disease of our times. At the 2009 Evolution of Psychotherapy conference Jack Kornfield noted, “We need a trauma tool kit.” Here it is. Most people, Pease Banitt says, experience trauma as a terminal blow to their deepest sense of self. Her techniques restore a sense of wholeness at the core level from which all healing springs. The uniqueness of her book lies in its diversity and accessibility. She assesses the values and limitations of traditional and alternative therapies and suggests methods that are universally available. Almost anybody can grow some lavender in a pot, she notes, or find a tree to sit under, a journal to write in, or Epsom Salts in which to soak. They can learn exercises of the mind and breath work to regulate the body. Besides such resources, Pease Banitt’s tools for healing include: Skills to build a first-aid kit to respond to any traumatic event Insight into the causes of stress mentally and physically Motivation to deal with stress sooner rather than later An insider’s knowledge about maintaining health The ability to make good decisions for effective interventions Increased resilience to overwhelming events She closes with a look at public policy and public health issues and the need for new therapeutic models. If trauma is the disease of our time, then healing from trauma individually and globally can pave the way for a brighter future. This book provides the tools.

Book Post Traumatic Growth Mindset

Download or read book Post Traumatic Growth Mindset written by Gloria Palmer and published by . This book was released on 2021-06-14 with total page 182 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Post-Traumatic Growth Mindset: The Complete Guidebook of Techniques of PTSD Healing and Recovery is an instructive manual that shows you the momentous heights you can reach when you overcome your trauma and how to get to those heights. The book provides straightforward information that anyone can apply to create post-traumatic growth. Trauma is a common human experience, and this trauma can result in severe side effects caused by conditions like PTSD. PTSD can have debilitating physical and emotional symptoms, but one of the worst effects is that it can make you feel detached from your life. Think about all the ways your trauma influences your life. Does it make it hard to communicate with loved ones? Does it cause you to isolate or engage in risky behavior? Does it make you feel sad, angry, or hopeless? Trauma has a wide range of effects, and it doesn't influence anyone in the same way. Therefore, it is a highly personal experience despite the fact that people often have similar symptoms. Thus, this book does not depict trauma just by the symptoms and how to handle those symptoms; it takes a holistic approach that allows people to customize their treatment to their individual circumstances. The book acknowledges that not everyone is the same, and it doesn't claim there is a one size fits all solution. Using clear language and compelling statistics, Post-Traumatic Growth Mindset: The Complete Guidebook of Techniques of PTSD Healing and Recovery teaches you how to process your trauma and learn to be better than you ever were. It encourages post-traumatic growth, which allows you to not just be resilient, but it allows you to grow as a person. You're going to push your boundaries and challenge yourself to be a better, stronger person. This book will do the following: ✅ Teach you what you can gain from post-traumatic growth ✅ Depict what trauma is and the various levels and symptoms associated with trauma ✅ Explain what PTSD is and what C-PTSD is ✅ Describe the symptoms of PTSD and some of the causes ✅ Detail the brain-body connection and how the neurobiology of trauma impacts you ✅ Give you tools that you can use to cope with PTSD ✅ Show you the power of post-traumatic growth and how to apply it to your circumstances ✅ Help you understand the various therapeutic and lifestyle changes you can make to address your trauma ✅ List physical ways to help you heal ✅ Guide you to create realistic self-improvement expectations and manage your prolonged happiness Don't let your trauma take over your life. Whatever you experienced, you've gone long enough with the pain and exhaustion that trauma brings. It's time to build your toolbox and learn about how trauma settles into your brain and how you can use scientifically supported evidence to combat your traumatic responses. It's time to heal, and you'll be able to begin the healing process before you've even finished this book.
