Book excerpt: For two thousand years, theologians have been attempting to explain the Bible’s book of Revelation. The mysterious last plague, also known as the “seventh vial,” was explained to John by the angel of the Lord and documented in two chapters within Revelation. For centuries, it was a fiercely debated topic because it had not happened yet—until September 11, 2001. In a comprehensive and enlightening biblical study, Larry Ammons extracts forty verses from the two chapters and matches them with forty events that took place at the World Trade Center at the beginning of the twenty-first century. Through fact-based evidence and Bible epigraphs, Ammons demonstrates how and why the ancient prophecies have come true and reveals by truth, not coincidence, how ten men were allowed powers as kings for an hour and forever changed the world in the process. The Grace of Sin is a unique presentation of facts that examines the seventh plague in the book of Revelation, compares biblical facts with actual events, and reveals shocking truths.

Be the Bridge is THE tool I wish to put in every set of hands.”—Jen Hatmaker WINNER OF THE CHRISTIAN BOOK AWARD® • Winner of the Christianity Today Book Award • A leading advocate for racial reconciliation calls Christians to move toward deeper understanding in the midst of a divisive culture. In an era where we seem to be increasingly divided along racial lines, many are hesitant to step into the gap, fearful of saying or doing the wrong thing. At times the silence, particularly within the church, seems deafening. But change begins with an honest conversation among a group of Christians willing to give a voice to unspoken hurts, hidden fears, and mounting tensions. These ongoing dialogues have formed the foundation of a global movement called Be the Bridge—a nonprofit organization whose goal is to equip the church to have a distinctive and transformative response to racism and racial division. In this perspective-shifting book, founder Latasha Morrison shows how you can participate in this incredible work and replicate it in your own community. With conviction and grace, she examines the historical complexities of racism. She expertly applies biblical principles, such as lamentation, confession, and forgiveness, to lay the framework for restoration. Along with prayers, discussion questions, and other resources to enhance group engagement, Be the Bridge presents a compelling vision of what it means for every follower of Jesus to become a bridge builder—committed to pursuing justice and racial unity in light of the gospel.

Book Understanding End Times Prophecy

Download or read book Understanding End Times Prophecy written by Paul Benware and published by Moody Publishers. This book was released on 2006-05-01 with total page 282 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many Christians think of end times prophecy as a gigantic, intimidating puzzle -- difficult to piece together and impossible to figure out. But every puzzle can be solved if you approach it the right way. Paul Benware compares prophecy to a picture puzzle. Putting the edge pieces together first builds the 'framework' that makes it easier to fit the other pieces in their place. According to Benware, the framework for eschatology is the biblical covenants. He begins his comprehensive survey by explaining the major covenants. Then he discusses several different interpretations of end times prophecy. Benware digs into the details of the Rapture, the Great Tribulation, the judgements and resurrections, and the millennial kingdom. But he also adds a unique, personal element to the study, answering questions as: -Why study bible prophecy? -What difference does it make if I'm premillenial or amillenial? If what the Bible says about the future puzzles you, Understanding End Times Prophecy will help you put together the pieces and see the big picture.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This summary booklet was created to raise some questions about the practice and process of posting prophetic words and declarations onto the web and particularly on social media. Some of the topics it briefly touches on are: Should social be used to announce prophetic words? What are some of the new covenant biblical parameters for releasing prophetic words? What protocols should be followed before posting prophetic words online? What should a prophetic minister do if they feel they have heard a prophetic word that is for the nation or globe? The booklet is not an attack on the prophetic movement or prophets in general, as the author is deeply involved in this stream and believes that God is raising great men and women who are anointed and appointed to these expressions of His Spirit in this hour.

Book The 70th Week Of Daniel 9 Decoded

Download or read book The 70th Week Of Daniel 9 Decoded written by David Nikao Wilcoxson and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2020-06-26 with total page 256 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There are two key reasons to read this book. First, the 70th week of Daniel is the only prophecy in the Bible that foretold exactly when Messiah would start His ministry and when He would die for our sins. When you understand the fulfillment, you have tangible proof to give to the world, that the Bible is true and that Messiah is deity. The second reason is that the popular explanations for the fulfillment of Revelation are based on the concept of a futuristic 70th week of Daniel, an end-times seven-year tribulation period. When you understand that the 70th week of Daniel is about the Jewish nation waiting for their promised Messiah to appear in the first century; then you know that it's not about the antichrist. If you insist that the 70th week of Daniel has not been fulfilled, then read Daniel 9:24-27, and ask yourself these questions.During which week of the seventy-week prophecy did Messiah carry out his multiyear ministry? And in which week did He die for our sins? If you're honest with the text, you'll see that the only place for those events is in the 70th week.Regarding the 'covenant' of Daniel 9:27, it's the same covenant that Daniel just mentioned in Daniel 9:4, which already existed. It is the everlasting covenant that was made to Abraham, which Messiah came to 'confirm' with His blood as the Passover Lamb, which paid the price for our sins and ended the need for temple animal sacrifices. We'll all stand before our Righteous Judge to account for what we believe and teach about the most important prophecy in the Bible.I pray that you will read the explanations in this book about the 70th week of Daniel, compare it to Scripture, and discern it for yourself.

Book Abomination of Desolation

    Book Details:
  • Author : Arlin E. Nusbaum
  • Publisher : Alpha and Omega Publishing
  • Release : 2013-07-04
  • ISBN : 9781601352781
  • Pages : 92 pages

Download or read book Abomination of Desolation written by Arlin E. Nusbaum and published by Alpha and Omega Publishing. This book was released on 2013-07-04 with total page 92 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "The Abomination of Desolation" prophecy in "Daniel 9:24-27" appears to be at the center of confusion of most "End Time" prophecy interpretations. The errors come when prophecy writers conjoin the "Abomination of Desolation" prophecy of "Daniel 9:24-27" with Paul's "Man of Sin" prophecy found in "2 Thessalonians 2:3-4" Daniel 9:24-27: 24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. 25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. 26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. (Daniel 9:24-27) 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4: 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4) Thus believers, by and large, are waiting for a temple to be built in Jerusalem on Temple Mount and for the antichrist to set himself up therein to then break a "seven-year treaty" with Israel half-way through. They fail to realize Paul's use of the term "temple" applies to the body of believers and no longer a physical structure. That was done away in Christ: 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. (1 Corinthians 3:16-17) 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; (2 Corinthians 6:16) The body of Christ has been seriously misled by such a simple mistake. Paul's New Covenant definition of "temple" must be used when interpreting Paul's own temple prophecies. This title addresses many other prophecies including "The Whore of Babylon," "The Woman who flees into the wilderness," "The Man of Sin," etc. " This title is also available on Kindle and Nook. Book Rethinking Hell

  • Author : Christopher Date

Download or read book Rethinking Hell written by Christopher Date and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2014-04-15 with total page 378 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Most evangelical Christians believe that those people who are not saved before they die will be punished in hell forever. But is this what the Bible truly teaches? Do Christians need to rethink their understanding of hell? In the late twentieth century, a growing number of evangelical theologians, biblical scholars, and philosophers began to reject the traditional doctrine of eternal conscious torment in hell in favor of a minority theological perspective called conditional immortality. This view contends that the unsaved are resurrected to face divine judgment, just as Christians have always believed, but due to the fact that immortality is only given to those who are in Christ, the unsaved do not exist forever in hell. Instead, they face the punishment of the "second death"--an end to their conscious existence. This volume brings together excerpts from a variety of well-respected evangelical thinkers, including John Stott, John Wenham, and E. Earl Ellis, as they articulate the biblical, theological, and philosophical arguments for conditionalism. These readings will give thoughtful Christians strong evidence that there are indeed compelling reasons for rethinking hell.
