This book was released on 2020-08-01 with total page 205 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Communist aim of proletarian hegemony in the Chinese revolution was given concrete expression through the Canton Commune—reflected in the policies and strategies that led to the uprising, in the makeup and program of the Soviet setup in Canton, and in the subsequent assessment of the revolt by the Comintern and the Chinese Communist Party. “Proletarian Hegemony” in the Chinese Revolution and the Canton Commune of 1927 describes these developments and, with the further ideological treatment given the Commune serving as a backdrop, will then examine the continuing evolution and ultimate transformation of the proletarian line and the concept of proletarian leadership in the post-1927 history of Chinese Communism. Book The State and Revolution

Download or read book The State and Revolution written by V. I. Lenin and published by Verso Books. This book was released on 2024-01-30 with total page 209 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Lenin's most important and controversial theoretical text Lenin’s booklet The State and Revolution struck the world of Marxist theory like a lightning bolt. Written in the months running up to the October Revolution of 1917, Lenin turned the traditional socialist concept of the state on its head, arguing for the need to smash the organs of the bourgeois state to create a ‘semi-state’ of soviets, or workers’ councils, in which ordinary people would take on the functions of the state machine in a new and radically democratic manner. This new edition includes a substantial introduction by renowned theorist Antonio Negri, who argues for the continued relevance of these ideas.

Book Occupy Movement and the Dictatorship of the Proletariat

Download or read book Occupy Movement and the Dictatorship of the Proletariat written by Gerald McIsaac and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2015-08-14 with total page 130 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The occupy movement that is currently sweeping the world is in fact a spontaneous revolutionary movement and lacks direction as the working class, the 99 percent, is not aware of itself as a class. This book attempts to bring to the 99 percent, the proletariat, the awareness of itself as a class and its historical destiny of overthrowing the capitalist class, the 1 percent, creating a socialist state for the benefit of the vast majority, and subsequently crushing the desperate and determined resistance of the 1 percent through the dictatorship of the proletariat.

Book Proletarian Peasants

Download or read book Proletarian Peasants written by Robert Edelman and published by . This book was released on 1987 with total page 224 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this book, conceived and written for the general reader as well as the specialist, Robert Edelman uses a case study of peasant behavior during a particular revolutionary situation to make an important contribution to one of the major debates in contemporary peasant studies. Edelman's subject is the peasantry of the right-bank Ukraine, and he uses local and regional archives seldom available to Western scholars to give a detailed picture of the ways in which the inhabitants of one of Russia's most advanced agrarian regions expressed their discontent during the years 1905-1907. By the 1890s, the landlords of Russia's Southwest had organized a highly successful capitalist form of agriculture, and Edelman demonstrates that their peasants responded to these dramatic economic changes by adopting many of the forms of political and social behavior generally associated with urban proletarians.

Book Russia From Proletarian Revolution to State Capitalist Counter Revolution

Download or read book Russia From Proletarian Revolution to State Capitalist Counter Revolution written by Raya Dunayevskaya and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2017-07-10 with total page 498 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Russia: From Proletarian Revolution to State-Capitalist Counter-Revolution is a selection of writings by the Marxist-Humanist philosopher Raya Dunayevskaya, which begins with an examination of Lenin’s Hegel Notebooks, his philosophic preparation for proletarian revolution, followed by a section on “What Happens After” the revolution--the first years post 1917. Analyses of Trotsky, Stalin, Bukharin, and Luxemburg are presented. A key section is “Russia’s Transformation into Opposite: The Theory of State-Capitalism.” Opposition to Russian state-capitalism such as the 1953 East Germany Revolt and the 1956 Hungarian Revolution are described. Mao’s China as another form of state-capitalism, as well as the Sino-Soviet conflict, is discussed. The study ends with a “battle of ideas” with other analyses of the Revolution and its aftermath.

Book The State and Revolution

Download or read book The State and Revolution written by Vladimir Ilyich Lenin and published by Good Press. This book was released on 2021-04-11 with total page 114 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 'The State and Revolution' is a book by Vladimir Lenin describing the role of the state in society, the necessity of proletarian revolution, and the theoretic inadequacies of social democracy in achieving revolution to establish the dictatorship of the proletariat. Lenin's direct and simple definition of the State is that "the State is a special organization of force: it is an organization of violence for the suppression of some class." Hence his denigration even of parliamentary democracy, which was influenced by what Lenin saw as the recent increase of bureaucratic and military influences: "To decide once every few years which member of the ruling class is to repress and crush the people through parliament – this is the real essence of bourgeois parliamentarism, not only in parliamentary-constitutional monarchies, but also in the most democratic republics."
