Book Prayers during COVID 19

Download or read book Prayers during COVID 19 written by Deb Hamner-Price and published by Fulton Books, Inc.. This book was released on 2022-08-25 with total page 247 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Prayer is one of the most beautiful areas of human life. It starts with you and ends with you and God in fellowship together supernaturally. Once COVID-19 disease touched my family members with its pesky fangs, I began to send prayers and scriptures to my siblings, their children, friends, and other family members. One day, while reading the prayers for the day to my mother, she asked me to write a book of the prayers. I have now learned that life gives us a preview. After the preview, we have a lesson. Once we collect enough data from life's toss and turns, we have lived the experience that should be embedded in our memory bank of lessons learned through a pandemic. Prayer is truly a centering forum whereby victorious outcomes can occur according to your faith.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The aim for this book is to bring out the truth and reality of the Hebrew names of the Lord, who is Jesus Christ, and what his role is in the middle of a global pandemic, such as COVID-19. In this modern era, where technology is right at our disposal making it easy to look up a Bible verse on Google or a Bible app, we fail to fully digest the meaning behind Scripture. Memory verses are especially critical in times of severe pressure, when there is hardly any time to pray and the whole world suddenly comes crumbling down like an avalanche right in front of you. It takes time, endurance, and determination to memorize Scripture. But there is still time, and there is no better time than the present.

Book God We Still Need You

    Book Details:
  • Author : Jon Swanson
  • Publisher :
  • Release : 2021-03-23
  • ISBN :
  • Pages : 186 pages

Download or read book God We Still Need You written by Jon Swanson and published by . This book was released on 2021-03-23 with total page 186 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Sometimes we need prayers to help us reflect on the pain we've lived through. In the euphoria of a vaccine and the freedom that people will feel, the work of those who lived through the worst will be forgotten. Tragically, the effects of that work will linger for the rest of the lives of those nurses. And respiratory therapists. And intensivists and patient care techs and EVS workers and child life specialists and radiologists and pharmacy techs. And chaplains. We will all carry with us the pictures of families on the other end of Zoom calls, watching mom as she is taking her last breaths. We will remember the fastidious, almost paranoid attention to donning and doffing protective gear. We will remember the IV poles in the hallways outside rooms with COVID-19 patients. Or we will forget those moments and be surprised when we suddenly start crying. We will all carry with us the tension in our bodies we felt as we read our social media feeds talking about a made-up virus as we think about its actual cost on the people we took care of inside the hospital. Into this grief come the words of a hospital chaplain who worked through this year. Starting with Advent 2019 and going through Thanksgiving 2020, these essays and prayers reflect one hospital chaplain's conversations with God and others during a challenging year. The framework is the church calendar: Advent, Epiphany, Lent, Eastertide, Ordinary Time. Each section starts with orientation to the season, to what was happening outside the hospital, and what was happening inside. The heartbeat is the Sunday prayers. Essays from the author's blogs, 300wordsaday.com and SocialMediaChaplain.com, are placed into that framework at the time they were written. The death and uncertainty aren't always in the foreground of these prayers and reflections. There are stories and moments that must be protected. But those stories and moments are always informing the writing. And this isn't a memoir, not in the kind that reviews the past and provides meaning. Instead, it is a journal, written in public, offering glimpses of a difficult year.

Book Surviving the Pandemic

Download or read book Surviving the Pandemic written by D Min Eric Tate Martin and published by Trilogy Christian Publishing. This book was released on 2024-02-13 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: HAS COVID-19 CHANGED THE WAY YOU SEE GOD & THE CHURCH? "This book details the challenges of the post-COVID church and how we all play a part in sustaining the growth of God's Word and His blessings. I do think it will energize those who read it to know the importance of growth in all areas of life." - BENJAMIN DAVID DENNIS, LIFETIME MOVIES/ACTOR/WRITER Where were you and your church financially, spiritually, and physically when COVID hit? Was your church congregation and church community prepared for the changes that came with the pandemic? In this eye-opening, thought-provoking book, Dr. Martin helps navigate the ups and downs of what the COVID-19 pandemic did to change the way we worship and how the church is viewed. There was a paradigm shift in the importance of the size of the church in relation to its health. Dr. Martin also explores many more tenets that are important to the survival of the church in this post-COVID-19 era. Surviving the Pandemic will be a guide as well as an encouragement to help all churches, big and small, overcome the challenges the pandemic posed from its onset up until now. Yes, the pandemic did change the landscape of how we do and see church, but it didn't change the way God protects and blesses us.
