Download or read book THE POSSIBLE JOURNEY written by Sylvester L Steffen and published by Author House. This book was released on 2006-09-07 with total page 118 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: THE POSSIBLE JOURNEY is about war and peace, about disharmony and harmony, about hate and love, about what we choose and by which we customize habits. In the course of life, positives and negatives get folded together in consciousness. We can blindly go on and suffer the hurts of negative implications and impose them on others, or we can search them out and remove them from the menu of choices. Nature equips us to do this. We inherit an intuitional capacity for symbiotic accommodation but also a strong inclination toward hyped egoism. One is the way of love and harmony, the other is the way of discord and degradation. It’s not about God; it’s about us and our personal choices to become Godlike—or otherwise. Natural, self-reflective evolution (symbiosis), the option of love, is ours to choose. Intentional symbiosis is the way of Godhead Harmony, the Way of WORD-LIGHT-LOVE. The alternative is the way of waste, of personal and social degradation, the trinity of ignorance-arrogance-greed. Coming to the wisdom of faith/reason by way of trimorphic resonance is an adult, divine/human process of consciousness, something larger and beyond the pablum of institutional religion. Our choice is to continue on the way of repressive Dominion Theology, imperialism and violence, or to diverge and opt the way of Liberation Theology, love for one another, openness and intentional accommodation. THE POSSIBLE JOURNEY aspires to be a lifetime guide for growth into adult faith and fulfilled living. Let it be your guide to the harmonic Way of TRUTH-LIGHT-LOVE. Uncompromised Trust, fidelity to mutuality, is the best option for developing the possibilities of life. For the Love of God and for Peace on Earth choose intentional symbiosis, choose trust, choose life!

Download or read book The Journey is Everything written by Katherine Bomer and published by Heinemann Educational Books. This book was released on 2016 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "In the electric, pulsating world around us, the essay lives a life of abandon, posing questions, speaking truths, fulfilling a need humans have to know what other humans think and wonder so we can feel less alone." -Katherine Bomer Sadly, many students only know "essay" as a 5-paragraph, tightly structured writing assignment that must check all the boxes of a standardized formula. How did essays in school get so far away from essays in the world? Katherine makes a powerful case for teaching the essay as a way to restore writing to think-that it is in fact necessary for students' success in college and career. "Essay helps students write flexibly, fluently, and with emboldened voices," she writes in The Journey Is Everything, "qualities they can translate into any assigned writing task in school or in life." She argues that the close reading of essays fulfills the recommendations of state and national standards, while practice in essay writing leads to better academic and test writing. More importantly, "Essay gives its author the space, time, and freedom to think about and make sense of things, take a journey of discovery, and speak her mind, without boundaries." Don't students deserve the chance to develop their own topics, discover their own writing voices, and learn to structure prose organically, according to the content? Katherine gives you tools, strategies, and activities to bring a unit on more authentic writing into your practice. Rediscover the power of the essay to bring out students' true thinking-their true selves. Because after all, the journey is everything.

Download or read book Uncharted written by Colette Baron-Reid and published by Hay House. This book was released on 2016 with total page 217 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "In Uncharted, internationally acclaimed intuitive counselor and "spiritual cartographer" Colette Baron Reid, whose best-selling books include The Map and Messages from Spirit, shows us that in the new normal of uncertainty, we can overcome the challenge of feeling disoriented, scared, and helpless and chart a path to new possibilities. It's in the places unfamiliar to us--the uncharted places--where magic lies. Here we can claim our innate power to give birth to an extraordinary life and become who we are called to become. Colette explains, "When we're lost, we all want a map--but maps can only tell us where we've been." All of us, personally and collectively, are headed somewhere new, to a future that has not yet been imagined, and we're creating it as we go. With her trademark compassionate candor and reassuring humor, as well as input from a wise, loving consciousness who call themselves "Fred," Colette guides us on a journey of co-creation through five interconnected realms--the Realms of Spirit, Mind, Light, and Energy, Form. Whatever we wish to experience and manifest, if we start in the realm of Form, trying to fix our lives and think our way out of our problems, we end up living inauthentically and feeling disappointed. But if we orient ourselves in the Realm of Spirit first, a magical process of transformation begins within, from which we can manifest a new reality far better than we might ever have imagined. Following this path, we get to experience what we came to create in the Realm of Form, and watch as our fear gives way to a deep sense of purpose and enthusiasm for participating in the co-creative process. Throughout Uncharted are fresh and exciting exercises drawn from Colette's trademarked energy psychology process, IN-Vizion

Download or read book Uncharted Journey written by Thomas Carothers and published by Carnegie Endowment. This book was released on 2010-03 with total page 313 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The United States faces no greater challenge today than successfully fulfilling its new ambition of helping bring about a democratic transformation of the Middle East. Uncharted Journey contributes a wealth of concise, illuminating insights on this subject, drawing on the contributors' deep knowledge of Arab politics and their substantial experience with democracy-building in other parts of the world. The essays in part one vividly dissect the state of Arab politics today, including an up-to-date examination of the political shock wave in the region produced by the invasion of Iraq. Part two and three set out a provocative exploration of the possible elements of a democracy promotion strategy for the region. The contributors identify potential false steps as well as a productive way forward, avoiding the twin shoals of either reflexive pessimism in the face of the daunting obstacles to Arab democratization or an unrealistic optimism that fails to take into account the region's political complexities. Contributors include Eva Bellin (Hunter College), Daniel Brumberg (Carnegie Endowment), Thomas Carothers (Carnegie Endowment), Michele Dunne (Georgetown University), Graham Fuller, Amy Hawthorne (Carnegie Endowment), Marina Ottaway (Carnegie Endowment), and Richard Youngs (Foreign Policy Centre).
