Download or read book Jesus Christ Quantum Physicist written by Dirk Schneider and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2015-06-15 with total page 102 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Does modern natural science suggest the existence of the Holy Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit? How can we explain eternity and Heaven? Who is the Holy Spirit? Physicist Dirk Schneider beckons his readers to follow him on an enthralling journey of discovery over the course of which he comes up with an entirely new theory. In order to be able to explain the world we live in from the perspective of quantum physics, the existence of the Holy Trinity of Father, Son and Holy Spirit is apparently a necessity. Schneider's analysis uncovers surprising and easy-to-understand congruencies between the results of physics experiments and statements made in the Bible. What's more: the phenomena of quantum physics are easier to understand with the assistance of Biblical statements than they are without the Bible. Table of Contents 1. A long nightmare begins 2. Book The Physics of Christianity

Download or read book The Physics of Christianity written by Frank J. Tipler and published by Image. This book was released on 2008-08-19 with total page 338 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A highly respected physicist demonstrates that the essential beliefs of Christianity are wholly consistent with the laws of physics. Frank Tipler takes an exciting new approach to the age-old dispute about the relationship between science and religion in The Physics of Christianity. In reviewing centuries of writings and discussions, Tipler realized that in all the debate about science versus religion, there was no serious scientific research into central Christian claims and beliefs. So Tipler embarked on just such a scientific inquiry. The Physics of Christianity presents the fascinating results of his pioneering study. Tipler begins by outlining the basic concepts of physics for the lay reader and brings to light the underlying connections between physics and theology. In a compelling example, he illustrates how the God depicted by Jews and Christians, the Uncaused First Cause, is completely consistent with the Cosmological Singularity, an entity whose existence is required by physical law. His discussion of the scientific possibility of miracles provides an impressive, credible scientific foundation for many of Christianity’s most astonishing claims, including the Virgin Birth, the Resurrection, and the Incarnation. He even includes specific outlines for practical experiments that can help prove the validity of the “miracles” at the heart of Christianity. Tipler’s thoroughly rational approach and fully accessible style sets The Physics of Christianity apart from other books dealing with conflicts between science and religion. It will appeal not only to Christian readers, but also to anyone interested in an issue that triggers heated and divisive intellectual and cultural debates.

Book Modern Physics and Ancient Faith

Download or read book Modern Physics and Ancient Faith written by Stephen M. Barr and published by University of Notre Dame Pess. This book was released on 2003-02-28 with total page 476 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A considerable amount of public debate and media print has been devoted to the “war between science and religion.” In his accessible and eminently readable new book, Stephen M. Barr demonstrates that what is really at war with religion is not science itself, but a philosophy called scientific materialism. Modern Physics and Ancient Faith argues that the great discoveries of modern physics are more compatible with the central teachings of Christianity and Judaism about God, the cosmos, and the human soul than with the atheistic viewpoint of scientific materialism. Scientific materialism grew out of scientific discoveries made from the time of Copernicus up to the beginning of the twentieth century. These discoveries led many thoughtful people to the conclusion that the universe has no cause or purpose, that the human race is an accidental by-product of blind material forces, and that the ultimate reality is matter itself. Barr contends that the revolutionary discoveries of the twentieth century run counter to this line of thought. He uses five of these discoveries—the Big Bang theory, unified field theories, anthropic coincidences, Gödel’s Theorem in mathematics, and quantum theory—to cast serious doubt on the materialist’s view of the world and to give greater credence to Judeo-Christian claims about God and the universe. Written in clear language, Barr’s rigorous and fair text explains modern physics to general readers without oversimplification. Using the insights of modern physics, he reveals that modern scientific discoveries and religious faith are deeply consonant. Anyone with an interest in science and religion will find Modern Physics and Ancient Faith invaluable.

Book The Physics and Philosophy of the Bible

Download or read book The Physics and Philosophy of the Bible written by James Frederick Ivey M.D. and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2017-12-05 with total page 310 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Albert Einstein taught that imagination is more important than knowledge, probably having come to this conclusion through a realization that almost all science represents belieffaithas opposed to knowledge. It should come as no surprise, then, that scienceespecially modern physics with its theories of relativity and quantum mechanicshas revolutionized thinking about the likelihood of the existence of God. In The Physics and Philosophy of the Bible, author and physician James Frederick Ivey explains how science, particularly quantum mechanics and relativity, aided by Platos philosophy and the history of Jewish people, can be utilized in order to virtually prove that God exists, that he is unique, and that he is the biblical deity. Ultimately an exploration of Christian philosophy and apologeticsincluding discussions of Christian history, secular retorts, the intersection of science and faith, and the relationship between physics and ultimate truthThe Physics and Philosophy of the Bible demonstrates that apologists are very close to the non-necessity of having to deal with whether God exists or not. From Platos earliest philosophical insights to the most groundbreaking discoveries in contemporary physics, we can find the fingerprints of God that prove He is with us. And. God seeks us just as we seek him, for he desires cognitive individuals with whom he can enjoy mutual love and intimacy.

Book From Star Wars to Superman

Download or read book From Star Wars to Superman written by James Papandrea and published by Sophia Institute Press. This book was released on 2017-11-16 with total page 353 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When cultures such as ours toss Jesus out one door, He comes in – albeit disguised – through another. That’s why author Jim Papandrea turned to Star Wars, Star Trek, The Matrix, Terminator, Spider-Man, Batman, Dr. Who, and half-a-dozen other modern shows, discovering in each one powerful images of Christ and salvation. Nor is that surprising. In stories of alternative universes, people always need rescuing; somebody needs to save the day; and sometimes the whole world cries out for a savior . . . which is just what a hero is. About the heroes of some of the most popular sci-fi stories of all time, author Papandrea here answers questions that concern Christians who are also Trekkies, Whovians, Matrix Dwellers, or aficionados of popular science fiction: What kind of “Christ-figure” is the hero of this story, and what does that say about the show’s vision of Christ, humanity and salvation? In the interest of being scientific, Papandrea even gives each hero a Numerical Orthodoxy Score based on the description of Christ in the Nicene Creed, Christianity’s common definition of orthodoxy. Included herein are astute Christian analyses of: Batman * Captain * America * Doctor Who * The Fifth Element * I, Robot * Iron Man * LOST * The Matrix * Planet of the Apes * Pleasantville * Spider-Man * Star Trek * Star Wars * Superman * The Terminator * The Time Machine * Tron * Wonder Woman Here you’ll read about: The pervasive Christian imagery in Doctor WhoStar Trek’s predicted “death of God”Free-will: the stumbling block in the first MatrixThe crucifixion of Spider-ManWhy Wonder Woman is an image of a gnostic saviorThe meaning of salvation in Star Wars (It masquerades as Christian)How Superman’s life begins as a parallel of Moses.I, Robot: the religious reason why the robot is called “Sonny”Whether, in any Christian sense, Neo is The One?Captain American and Iron-Man: one defends the innocent, the other brings justice to the guiltyThe tomb scene in the Fifth Element: it’s not the resurrection we needMatter vs. Spirit in Tron: gnostic to the coreThe anti-Christian bias of Planet of the ApesWhy the Force in Star Wars is no analogy to Grace or the Holy SpiritThe Star Wars Christ figure: Obi-Wan? Luke? Or even, ultimately, Darth VaderWhat Heaven is understood to be in the LOST universeTime travel as incarnation in The Terminator: a compelling analogyRegeneration as resurrection in Doctor Who: Is it Christ-like?How Pleasantville reverses the dynamism of the FallThe baptismal significance of the plane crash in LOSTPleasantville: a twisted version of EdenThe incarnation of the Christ-figure in Planet of the ApesTron’s parallels between Christianity and the Roman Empire . . . and much more about other science fiction and superhero shows! Christians who enjoy popular culture will greet this fun book with interest and acclaim.

Together, these interviews compose a case brief defending Jesus' divinity, and urging readers to reach a verdict of their own.

Book Faith and Physics

Download or read book Faith and Physics written by Joseph Callender and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2018-07-10 with total page 226 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Light is the key to the deepest of mysteries, and the bridge that connects science and spirituality. When Christian faith is understood in terms of the scientific properties and behaviors of light, not only do perceived conflicts between science and spirituality disappear, but there exists a synergy between them that supports and enriches both. The key to understanding our place and purpose in the universe is the property of light known in physics as the "complementarity principle," in which light exists as waves until it is observed by humans, upon which it instantly manifests as physical reality. This dual nature of light defines dual realities - the spiritual and physical realities. Visionaries and prophets throughout history and from widely diverse backgrounds, as well as many individuals who have had so-called near death experiences, have consistently reported experiencing God as Light - Light that is qualitatively and quantitatively different from the light we ordinarily see. Furthermore, the "tunnel" often seen in the near death experience is the same phenomenon as the so-called "spiritual eye" or "gate of heaven" of the visionary experience. It's a phenomenon that was predicted by Einstein's theories 100 years ago. In addition, re-examining the biblical creation story in terms of the Light of Christ and the complementarity principle, it becomes clear that the "fall" of man from the presence of God was a quantum event in which his conscious awareness switched from God to the physical world. It also becomes clear that the first chapter of Genesis is about the creation of the universe, not about our planet. The apparent anachronisms in the Genesis story then disappear, details of the physical creation as distinct from the spiritual come into sharper focus, and the creation story is seen to be in complete harmony with modern science.

Book Why the Universe Is the Way It Is

Download or read book Why the Universe Is the Way It Is written by Hugh Ross and published by Baker Books. This book was released on 2008-10-01 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Increasingly astronomers recognize that if the cosmos had not unfolded exactly as it did, humanity would not, could not, exist. Yet these researchers--along with countless ordinary folks--resist belief in the biblical Creator. Why? They say a loving God would have made a better home for us, one without trouble and tragedy. In Why the Universe Is the Way It Is, Hugh Ross draws from his depth of study in both science and Scripture to explain how the universe's design fulfills several distinct purposes. He also reveals God's surpassing love and ultimate purposes for each individual. Why the Universe Is the Way It Is will interest anyone who wonders where and how the universe came to be, what or who is responsible for it, why we are here, or how and when the universe ends. Far from leaving the reader at this philosophical jumping-off point, Ross builds toward answering the big question of human destiny and the specific question of each reader's personal destiny.

Download or read book The Fullness of Time written by Kara N. Slade and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2021-09-17 with total page 148 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: While human existence in time is determined by the time of Jesus Christ, by the logic of the incarnation, passion, resurrection, and ascension, the predominant accounts of time in the modern West have proceeded from a very different basis. The implications of these approaches are not just a matter of epistemology, or of abstract doctrinal and philosophical claims. Instead, they have had, and continue to have, concrete ramifications for human life together. They have overwhelmingly been death-dealing rather than life-giving, marked by a series of temporal moral errors that this book hopes to address. As a counterexample, this book reads Soren Kierkegaard alongside Karl Barth to highlight the ways that both figures rejected a Hegelian approach to time that was, and is, not coincidentally intertwined with a racialized account of history and the co-opting of Christianity by the modern Western state.

Download or read book The Works of His Hands written by Dr. Sy Garte and published by Kregel Publications. This book was released on 2019-11-19 with total page 256 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Raised in a militant atheist family, Sy Garte fell in love with the factual world of science. He became a respected research biochemist with an anti-theistic worldview to bolster his work—and he had no intention of seeking a God he didn't believe in. That is, until the very science he loved led him to question the validity of an atheistic worldview. His journey to answer the questions that confronted him drew him into becoming a fully committed Christian, determined to show others the truth: modern science doesn't contradict God at all but instead supports Christianity. In the first half of the book, Sy begins with how his experiences and quest for knowledge as a student and early in his career brought him to question his materialist assumptions. He goes on to reveal how lessons from physics, biology, and human nature —all presented for lay readers to easily understand—actually argue for belief in God. In the second half of the book, Sy looks at the arguments often presented against God in academic and scientific settings and explains the false foundations on which they rest. For those who have been told that the realities of science call for a rejection of God—but can't quite get rid of the feeling that this shouldn't be true—The Works of His Hands is an ideal reminder that the two don't have to be bitter enemies. Instead, this transformative book shares the beauty of the marriage between science and faith—and how, together, they can bring even the most unlikely to salvation.

Download or read book Finding God in Science written by Michael O'Connell and published by . This book was released on 2020-11-07 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A NASA rocket scientist uses quantum physics to find God in science. This is the story of one rocket scientist's quest to know the Creator of the universe, in the face of postmodern thought and atheistic claims. It follows the peaks and valleys of his aerospace career and his spiritual journey, in a novel defense of Christianity. Finding God in Science is written for anyone who struggles with doubts over atheistic claims about truth, God and science.Finding God in Science begins by reconciling the creation accounts of Genesis and science. Biblical and scientific evidence shows that the days of Genesis 1 were long periods of time, rather than 24 hour days. Ancient interpretations of the Genesis order of creation are also shown to match modern science. Finding God clarifies the nature of Adam's race, original sin, and the real extent of Noah's flood, with biblical interpretations that are faithful to the original texts. Finding God in Science continues by exploring the implications of quantum mechanics, which have a deep and unexpected relevance to Christianity. This is the first book to demonstrate that Jesus Christ's earthly message and mission parallel the natural laws of the universe, revealing a Divine premeditation. Finding God in Science shows how Jesus Christ could be both God and man, and what it means to really know God and to communicate with Him. Finding God sheds new light on the mystery of why Christ had to die to save us from our sins, and why we have to die to finally realize eternal life. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit and the security of our salvation are described using quantum analogies. Quantum mechanics is shown to form the physical basis of human consciousness, and underlie the core tenets of Christianity. As incredible as it may sound, these claims are based on the key features of quantum mechanics, the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, non locality and quantum entanglement. The gospel is presented in a new language using the fundamental principles of physics. Finding God in Science will challenge your thinking, touch your soul, and deepen your faith.
