His bitter rival for 40 years, Jealousman, looks forward to finally being the sole village hero once again. Suddenly, the paroled Pastor Limelight Mmonadilo of the defunct Ten Commandments Ministries attains popularity by mobilising the village leadership into preserving and celebrating Leroy's legacy for purposes of employment creation, amidst the grinding global economic recession. Jelousman, believing that his own legacy is more worthy of celebration and preservation, gets determined to bring Pastor Mmonadilo's project to its knees. For a while he tries to do this in an uncharacteristically subtle manner. Meanwhile, a group of city-based professionals motivate the formation of a company for tourism business in Morwa. This intensifies the rivalry between Jealousman and Pastor Mmonadilo. Father Sebastian Modiga of the Roman Catholic Church channels the negative energy between the two men into unleashing a "holy war" and "final solution" against the allegedly predatory charismatic or "Fire" church in Botswana.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Do you know who that person is that you lie next to at night is, or that person you call your father. In 1981, we discovered we had been living with a stranger. This was a very traumatic year for my family. After finding out who my father the Assistant Pastor really was, I was silent and guarded for a long time, I felt like I did not have a voice because I was so ashamed. I let all the disparaging things that happened in my life control me. I decided to take a step and tell a friend, then I told another, then my children. I realized I had a lot to say. God led me to take another step and share my life with others to help them understand that when you go through shock, pain, and disappointment you have even more to say and should reveal your pain so you can begin to heal.

By age sixteen, Casey was sentenced to more than twelve years in solitary confinement in California's toughest prison as one of the state's most violent offenders. He thought his life was over--but as the days in solitary wore on, Casey realized someone else was calling the shots. What happened next can only be described as a miracle. Join Casey as he shares how we can all: Embrace the incredible gift of God's redeeming love Change our lives for the better Find our God-given purpose A visceral insider's look at the violent world of gangs and prison life, The Shot Caller is a remarkable demonstration of God's reckless, unending grace, and desire to reach even the worst of sinners--no matter where they are. Book How You Finish Is What Counts

Download or read book How You Finish Is What Counts written by David Ford and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2019-09-30 with total page 277 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Through the years, I never thought about writing, but I have always stored away certain sayings that I found interesting. One of those titles was Where the Timbers Cross, and I always thought that would make a good story. The problem was how to put a story with some of these sayings. It was almost five years before I came up with the story that goes with the book title. I wrote two stories in 1997 and put them in a folder and forgot about them. I happened to give a cousin the stories and asked him to read them. I assumed he would do what I would have done and put them in a drawer and forget about them. I talked to him a few weeks later, and he made copies of the stories and given them to neighbors, relatives, and pastors. I then started hearing from the readers of the stories asking for more stories. My third story was written in 2015. Then I was asked about a book, so here we are. This book composed of thirty-five Christian-fiction stories. Even though the stories are fiction, many are based on true happenings I have come across over the years. Even though my name is on the book, God wrote the stories. About the Author David Ford graduated from East Tennessee State University with a master's degree. He then spent the next thirty-five years teaching in middle and high school. During those years, he taught biology, advanced biology, environmental science, earth science, physical science, general science, and life science. Since retiring, he enjoys golf, biking, and working out. He also has discovered a hidden talent""writing.
