Book The Paleo hebrew Translation of the Bible

Download or read book The Paleo hebrew Translation of the Bible written by Travis Wayne Goodsell and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2016-01-02 with total page 260 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Joseph Smith, the founding prophet for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, said the Hebrew Bible, not just the King James Bible, was translated incorrectly. The only clue he left behind was a partial translation of Genesis 1:1, "The Head God brought forth the Gods." No one in or out of The Church has figured it out until now. Travis Wayne Goodsell has found that Paleo-Hebrew can be used to translate the Torah. This makes the Bible an older document than traditionally believed and ties it more closely to Egyptian influencing texts. And an identification of a Babylonian influencing also appears in the text that clearly is a later redaction. Travis demonstrates his new theory of Paleo-Hebrew with a synopsis and etymology of the Alphabet, and includes a Creation Story Lexicon. From Travis Wayne Goodsell's best-selling books comes the next step with the Paleo-Hebrew alphabet - the translation. It starts with his book, Basic Paleo-Hebrew, for those who are curious. Then the next step is Paleo-Hebrew 101 Lesson Manual, for those who are beginning learners. Then comes, The Origins of the Paleo-Hebrew Alphabet A New Theory, to add a little more information. And then the book, Paleo-Hebrew Synopsis and Etymology, goes over the strokes of each letter with their meaning. All these books are stepping stones to learning Paleo-Hebrew and how to translate the Biblical text.

Book excerpt: In the first volume, The Creation Story, I cover an overview of Paleo-Hebrew along with the translations of the Biblical text. So it is necessary to reproduce that information on the alphabet in order that the reader may more easily apply it to the text of the story of Enoch. When I was without access to a computer and the internet, I had to rely on printed material and pen and paper to make my translations. This book contains scans of my translation work, sized to fit, during this period of my life. On each scan is the Biblical Hebrew text with my phonetics above it. Below the text is the transliteration into Paleo-Hebrew. Then below that is the JPS, King James, and my translation of the text, word for word. Then finally I rendered the word for word translation into the three actual translations.

Book The Messianic Aleph Tav Scriptures Paleo Hebrew Large Print Edition Study Bible

Download or read book The Messianic Aleph Tav Scriptures Paleo Hebrew Large Print Edition Study Bible written by and published by CCB Publishing. This book was released on 2014-05-20 with total page 734 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Messianic Aleph Tav Scriptures (MATS) is a study bible which focuses on the study of the Aleph Tav character symbol used throughout the old testament (Tanakh) by both Moses and the Prophets and is the most exhaustive and unique rendition of its kind in the world. Over 5 years in the making, this English rendition reveals every place the Hebrew Aleph Tav symbol was used as a "free standing" character symbol believed to express the "strength of the covenant" in its original meaning. The Aleph Tav was believed also to be the "mark" of the "divine hand" for thousands of years by such famous rabbis as Nahum of Gimzo, Akiva, and R. S. Hirsch as well as the Apostle John. Also revealed in MATS is the use of the Aleph Tav as it is incorporated into the creation of hundreds of Hebrew words used thousands of times throughout the Tanakh and how the "mark" incorporates Y'shua haMashiach (Jesus the messiah), as well as all mankind and creation, which substantiates and expresses its divinity, thus taking our understanding of the scriptures to a whole new level. MATS comes in your choice of either Paleo or Modern Hebrew editions in a trim size of the regular 6"x9" or the large print edition 8.5"x11".

Book Translation and Survival

Download or read book Translation and Survival written by Tessa Rajak and published by OUP Oxford. This book was released on 2009-04-09 with total page 400 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The translation of the Hebrew Bible into Greek was the first major translation in Western culture. Its significance was far-reaching. Without a Greek Bible, European history would have been entirely different - no Western Jewish diaspora and no Christianity. Translation and Survival is a literary and social study of the ancient creators and receivers of the translations, and about their impact. The Greek Bible served Jews who spoke Greek, and made the survival of the first Jewish diaspora possible; indeed, the translators invented the term 'diaspora'. It was a tool for the preservation of group identity and for the expression of resistance. It invented a new kind of language and many new terms. The Greek Bible translations ended up as the Christian Septuagint, taken over along with the entire heritage of Hellenistic Judaism, during the process of the Church's long-drawn-out parting from the Synagogue. Here, a brilliant creation is restored to its original context and to its first owners.

Book The Ancient Hebrew Lexicon of the Bible

Download or read book The Ancient Hebrew Lexicon of the Bible written by Jeff A. Benner and published by Ancient Hebrew Research Center. This book was released on 2021-06-28 with total page 617 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: All previous Biblical Hebrew lexicons have provided a modern western definition and perspective to Hebrew roots and words. This prevents the reader of the Bible from seeing the ancient authors' original intent of the passages. This is the first Biblical Hebrew lexicon that defines each Hebrew word within its original Ancient Hebrew cultural meaning. One of the major differences between the Modern Western mind and the Ancient Hebrew's is that their mind related all words and their meanings to a concrete concept. For instance, the Hebrew word "chai" is normally translated as "life", a western abstract meaning, but the original Hebrew concrete meaning of this word is the "stomach". In the Ancient Hebrew mind, a full stomach is a sign of a full "life". The Hebrew language is a root system oriented language and the lexicon is divided into sections reflecting this root system. Each word of the Hebrew Bible is grouped within its roots and is defined according to its original ancient cultural meaning. Also included in each word entry are its alternative spellings, King James translations of the word and Strong's number. Indexes are included to assist with finding a word within the lexicon according to its spelling, definition, King James translation or Strong's number.

Book excerpt: The mechanical method of translating the Bible is a new and unique style of translating that translates each Hebrew word, prefix and suffix exactly the same way every time it occurs and in the same order as they appear in the Hebrew text. This translation will allow a reader, who has no background in Hebrew, to see the text from a Hebraic perspective, without the interjection of a translator's theological opinions and bias. As this style of translation also identifies the morphology of each Hebrew word using the English language, it is a useful tool for those who are learning to read Biblical Hebrew.

Book Messianic Aleph Tav Interlinear Scriptures Volume Two the Writings Paleo and Modern Hebrew Phonetic Translation English Bold Black Edition Study Bible

Download or read book Messianic Aleph Tav Interlinear Scriptures Volume Two the Writings Paleo and Modern Hebrew Phonetic Translation English Bold Black Edition Study Bible written by and published by . This book was released on 2016-01-29 with total page 888 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The "Messianic Aleph Tav Interlinear Scriptures" (MATIS) is the most unique Interlinear Study Bible of its kind in the world. MATIS is the first true Interlinear Study Bible to combine both the Paleo and the Babylonian Block Hebrew with a distinctive Hebrew translation for each word. The purpose of MATIS is to provide a Study Bible whereby each Hebrew word and its letters could be studied to obtain a deeper understanding of what the originators were trying to express. Charts are provided in the back of MATIS that break down both the potential meanings of the Hebrew letters and the Hebrew letter code used to translate the Hebrew. MATIS also incorporates the popular Strong's numbering system for each word in the interlinear section with a complete Strong's Hebrew Dictionary to provide for more in depth study. MATIS English translation began with the public domain version of the 1987 KJV and removed all the old English for easier reading. All English words originally used in the KJV for deities have also been replaced with their original Hebrew words. MATIS is also unique in regard to the Hebrew verses running in sequence from left to right with the English while the Hebrew individual words are written from right to left as originally written by the Sages for thousands of years. The word order the Hebrew verses are written is the exact order they were written originally except in reverse, which allows the verses to run parallel with the English. This combination is also unique and makes it easier for beginners to study the Hebrew language in comparison to both the Hebrew and English translations. The First Volume of MATIS is the TORAH with additional MATIS volumes being, volume two the WRITINGS, volume three the PROPHETS and volume four the B'rit Chadashah (New Covenant). MATIS also furthers the journey of the study of the Aleph/Tav character symbol by revealing thousands of words that originally incorporate this symbol in Paleo Hebrew, and apparently for good reason! MATIS is truly the perfect gift for the believer who is interested in studying Hebrew and desires to analyze each Hebrew word and the meaning of each Hebrew letter in the original Hebrew text in order to obtain a deeper understanding of what the originators, as well as our creator was trying to express in the Hebrew language. MATIS comes in your choice of either Red Letter or Bold Black 8.5x11 editions. About the Author: William H. Sanford is a licensed minister and has been studying and teaching the gospel message for over 40 years.
