Download or read book 4ed the Observer of Genesis the Science Behind the Creation Story Large Print Color written by Alberto Canen and published by . This book was released on 2017-01-29 with total page 222 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Genesis, the seven days of Creation ... Where does the text that makes up the first part of the Bible come from?Is its text a mere introductory poem ... or is it a narrative? What's behind its words?Alberto Canen has found an alternative way to answer these and other questions in the Genesis. He has found a route no one had been to before, and invites the reader to discover it and make their findings with him.The author has found that hidden in the bottom of the plot there is someone.Someone who observes; someone who tells. Someone who tells what he observes. And a place, a location from which he observes. The location of the observer. The key to an exciting puzzle. The Genesis has been a mystery for thousands of years. No one had been able to understand what the text spoke about, whether it was just an introductory poem to the Holy Scriptures, or it actually contained information about the Creation. The text of Genesis divided the waters of creationists and scientistics long until today. With this book I hope to dilute this separation between scientistics and creationists since I have discovered the key that unifies both worlds.I think the key to the mystery of Genesis is to understand that it is narrated by someone. A narrator of Genesis. Someone who observes the vision God gives him and from there he tells what he observes and he observes it from his human and earthly location. This earthly and accurate location is the key to understanding Genesis.

Book Genesis and the Big Bang Theory

Download or read book Genesis and the Big Bang Theory written by Gerald Schroeder and published by Bantam. This book was released on 1991-12-01 with total page 228 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A ground-breaking book that takes on skeptics from both sides of the cosmological debate, arguing that science and the Bible are not at odds concerning the origin of the universe. The culmination of a physicist's thirty-five-year journey from MIT to Jerusalem, Genesis and the Big Bang presents a compelling argument that the events of the billions of years that cosmologists say followed the Big Bang and those of the first six days described in Genesis are, in fact, one and the same—identical realities described in vastly different terms. In engaging, accessible language, Dr. Schroeder reconciles the observable facts of science with the very essence of Western religion: the biblical account of Creation. Carefully reviewing and interpreting accepted scientific principles, analogous passages of Scripture, and biblical scholarship, Dr. Schroeder arrives at a conclusion so lucid that one wonders why it has taken this long in coming. The result for the reader—whether believer or skeptic, Jewish or Christian—is a totally fresh understanding of the key events in the life of the universe.

Book Science and the Genesis Account of Creation

Download or read book Science and the Genesis Account of Creation written by Chuck Jersch and published by FriesenPress. This book was released on 2021-07-26 with total page 177 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I read statistics that over 80% of Christians lose their faith while attending public school and University. Children brought up in a Christian home are 45% less likely to turn to crime, than those in non-Christian homes. It really made me wonder. I took a semester of law through Queens University about 55 years ago and in it they mentioned that our current laws are based on the Mosaic laws and the laws of Hammurabi. When I started this study about 20 years ago, I was going to prove Science wrong. After reading the Bible in six different translations and taking about fifty university courses through “The Teaching Co” (www.teach12.com) I found that different Denominations interpret the Bible Quite differently. In my book I have tried to bring Christianity and science together as Companions rather than adversaries.

Download or read book Genesis Revealed written by Peter Waller and published by Wheatmark, Inc.. This book was released on 2014-05-15 with total page 217 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The lines have been drawn. On one side are young earth creationists, who assert that God created the universe in six days and-based on calculations derived from the Bible-that the earth is six thousand years old. On the other side are secular scientists, who claim the universe has existed for over thirteen billion years, the earth for 4.5 billion. Scientists claim that no miracles were necessary to form the universe, and that everything is explained by natural causes. However, young earth creationists point to verses at the beginning of the Bible and the beginning of the book of John that clearly claim that God created the universe. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters. Genesis 1:1-2 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. John 1:1-3 But what if there is no contradiction between scientific data and the Bible? Arnold Guyot was a nineteenth-century geologist and geographer at Princeton University. In addition to his numerous scientific accomplishments, he developed the day-age interpretation of Genesis 1, in which the "days" of creation represent geologic ages. When we view the Bible through this lens, we find that modern science has not only failed to refute the miracles of Genesis, but has in fact provided abundant evidence for their veracity. Genesis Revealed: A Scientific Examination of the Creation Story takes readers down the twin paths of science and theology to show that they lead us to the same destination. Citing a multitude of discoveries in astronomy and geology, Dr. Peter Waller makes a compelling case for Guyot's interpretation-and for the miracles described in Genesis 1:1-25.

Download or read book For the Glory of God written by Richard H. Jones and published by University Press of America. This book was released on 2012-06-07 with total page 273 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: For the Glory of God addresses key questions regarding the connection between religion and science. Richard H. Jones investigates whether ideas from the Bible and Christian theology have played a significant role in the development of modern scientific theories. If so, has the role always been positive or negative? In this regard, does religion have the epistemic right to control science or to offer an alternative “Christian” science to mainstream science? Is creationism or intelligent design a “science” on the same footing with neo-Darwinism? Is the integrity of science today in danger of religious control? In this volume, Jones provides an illuminating history of the role of Christian ideas in the physical and biological sciences from the Middle Ages to today. He reveals the failure of the popular “war” and “harmony” models for the relation of religion and science and shows that a “control” model does work to explain the complex history of religion and science.
