It is sincerely hoped that this book will enhance people’s knowledge and improve their awareness of the rich local history and heritage to preserve them. As it is a favourite haunt of tourists, it also has a splash of tourism-related information. Therefore, this book will be cherished and preserved by anyone who loves the Nilgiris, which was once known as the Nila mountain where Goddess Nila Devi was presumed to have lived.
