Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In The New Age of Soul, the broad appeal of new age spirituality is identified and defined, with special attention to the claim that the soul may be understood as both the repository of divine energy and a source of spiritual healing and hope. Through dialogue with sources and perspectives on the spiritual nature of the soul, the book attempts to win the respect and appreciation of the reader already persuaded by the claims and benefits of new age spirituality while, at the same time, convincing the reader who has suspicions and concerns about new age spirituality that a better alternative may be found. The book thus has a two fold purpose: first, to expose the inadequacy, indeed, the superficiality of new age spirituality through this dialogue and discussion attracting the attention and interest of the reader already influenced by this genre. Second, the author makes a case for a more traditional, orthodox, and biblical view of the soul and human spirituality so that the reader who is inclined toward new age spirituality will rediscover the more traditional biblical content of the soul and spirituality while providing the committed, more traditional Christian reader a tool by which to communicate a biblical faith with the growing segment of our population attracted toward new age spirituality. In its own way, this book is an apologetic for a more traditional Christian theology of human spirituality and self identity presented in a positive dialogue with new age spirituality

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Gnostic Luciferian New Age "Utopia" will be based upon a Mystery Babylon re-visitation of tolerance for all behaviors narcissistically self-indulgent, sexually perverse, psychoactively induced, and sinfully decadent, with self-worship and self-adulation as the highest pinnacle of religious zeal. Additionally, utilizing the trickery and artifice of an Alien Antichrist Messiah Deception, the Luciferian Elite seek to obliterate Christianity and replace it with a Gnostic Pantheistic Cosmogenesis narrative, where Ancient Aliens are our true genetic origins, and Cosmic Evolution, with Mankind in tow, is the Grand Design of the Universe. Since this is a very real situation which effects all the world in the direst sort of way, the contents of this book are relevant to all citizens of the world. This book bravely explores the various guises that this repackaged Babylonian Gnostic Luciferianism has taken and how it got to this point, as well as offers answers to this nefarious situation.

Book Blake and the New Age Routledge Revivals

Download or read book Blake and the New Age Routledge Revivals written by Kathleen Raine and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2013-09-05 with total page 189 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: First published in 1979, this is a very welcome reissue of Kathleen Raine's seminal study of William Blake - England’s only prophet. He challenged with extraordinary vigour the premises which now underline much of Western civilization, hitting hard at the ideas of a naive materialist philosophy which, even in his own day, was already eating at the roots of English national life. In his insistence that ‘mental things are alone real’, Blake was ahead of his time. Materialist views are now challenged from various quarters; the depth psychologies of Freud and Jung, the study of Far Easter religion and philosophy, the reappraisal of myth and folk lore, the wealth of psychical research have all prepared the way for an understanding of Blake’s thought. We are ready to acknowledge that in attacking ‘the sickness of Albion’ Blake penetrated to the inner worlds of man and explored them in a way that is quite unique. Dr Raine, who has made a long study of Blake’s sources, presents him as a lonely powerful genius who stands within the spiritual tradition of Sophia Perennis, ‘the Everlasting Gospel’. From the standpoint of this great human Norm, our immediate past described by W.B. Yeats as ‘the three provincial centuries’, is a tragic deviation; catastrophic, as Blake believed, in its spiritual and material consequences. Only now do we possess the necessary knowledge to understand William Blake and the ever-growing number of people who turn to him surely justifies his faith in the eternal truths he strove to communicate.

Download or read book The Dying Soul written by Mark Cobb and published by McGraw-Hill Education (UK). This book was released on 2001-01-16 with total page 162 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Holistic models of cancer and palliative care frequently refer to spirituality as an important element. But what do we mean when we talk about spirituality and how do we provide spiritual care? This book sets out an understanding of this complex domain, describing how spirituality is experienced and expressed, and looks at the impact of terminal illness. The author argues that if we are to recognize spirituality as a significant aspect of living and dying then care providers must develop an interesting, consistent and effective approach. Therefore issues of training, policy and practice all need to be addressed. Spirituality is often represented as the fourth pillar of palliative care, and yet it is often the least developed area in terms of both theory and practice. Originating from the author's clinical and teaching experience, this book aims to explore the concepts, issues and practical implications of spirituality in care.

  • Release : 2004-06-21
  • ISBN : 1725258331
  • Pages : 254 pages

Download or read book Apologetics in the New Age written by David K. Clark and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2004-06-21 with total page 254 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many books have successfully defended Christianity against Western rational skepticism. 'Apologetics in the New Age' represents the first serious attempt by evangelical philosophers to answer Eastern pantheism in general and the New Age movement in particular. Teaming up with David Clark, Norman Geisler, one of evangelicalism's leading apologists, probes the pantheistic worldview and its relationship to the New Age movement. Pantheism, the authors write, constitutes the soil in which the movement grows. The notion that every person participates in the divine has found fertile expression in contemporary American culture. The American consciousness of the Eastern alternative has risen rapidly in the last few decades, the authors remind us. Christian apologists have been caught unaware.... For this reason, we believe that Christian apologists must turn their attention in a new direction by developing new arguments for this New Age.
