Download or read book The Nehemiah Factors written by Sharon Nobuhle Williams and published by Global Growth Publishing. This book was released on 2022-01-07 with total page 205 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Various factors contribute to the mediocracy, division, or demise of a ministry. The greatest factor is the lack of godly, effective leadership. Unlike worldly standards, God holds Christian leaders to a higher standard. These opposing standards explain why sinful corporate leaders often find success, whereas ungodly Christian leaders often don’t. Anyone who believes they have a gift for ministry can establish one. However, it takes wisdom, integrity, character, and divine direction for a ministry to grow and thrive. The Nehemiah Factors contains various principles designed to empower current or aspiring leaders by providing timeless principles that Nehemiah employed while rebuilding Jerusalem’s walls. Each character-enhancing principle will promote spiritual growth while simultaneously developing leadership skills. The practical applications included will equip you to become the Godly, effective leader that God intended. From Nehemiah’s example, you will learn: → God’s hiring methods → The Importance of Discernment → Godly conflict resolution → “Communicative Etiquette” → Servant leadership, and much more This book is for you whether you are a minister, leader, teacher, manager, or mom. Applying these principles to your life will ensure that you lead successfully and in a manner that is pleasing to God.

Download or read book Ezra and Nehemiah written by David J. Shepherd and published by Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing. This book was released on 2018-01-04 with total page 401 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Two features especially distinguish the Two Horizons Old Testament Commentary series: theological exegesis and theological reflection. Both of these features are fully realized in this THOTC volume on Ezra and Nehemiah by David J. Shepherd and Christopher J. H. Wright. Following an introduction and concise, verse-by-verse commentary on both books, Shepherd and Wright highlight key ways in which these Old Testament texts continue to speak to us today. They closely examine what Ezra and Nehemiah tell us about God and the people of Israel, reflect practically on leadership, and engage critically with those portions of the text (such as Ezra's dissolution of the Judeans' marriages with foreigners) that present special problems for contemporary readers. Offering deep theological insight throughout, this volume will prove essential for students, pastors, and other Christian leaders seeking to engage in theological interpretation of Scripture.

Download or read book The Missional Church in Perspective The Missional Network written by Craig Van Gelder and published by Baker Academic. This book was released on 2011-05-01 with total page 208 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this book, two leading ministry experts place the missional church conversation in historical perspective and offer fresh insights for its further development. They begin by providing a helpful review of the genesis of the missional church and offering an insightful critique of the Gospel and Our Culture Network's seminal book Missional Church, which set the conversation in motion. They map the diverse paths this discussion has taken over the past decade, identifying four primary branches and ten sub-branches of the conversation and placing over one hundred published titles and websites into this framework. The authors then utilize recent developments in biblical and theological perspectives to strengthen and extend the conversation about missional theology, the church's interaction with culture and cultures, and church organization and leadership in relation to the formation of believers as disciples. Professors, students, and church leaders will value this comprehensive overview of the missional movement. It includes a foreword by Alan J. Roxburgh.

That's because God's vision for us is based upon His full knowledge of His unlimited power and resources. In this study we discover how Nehemiah sought God for a vision, and then fulfilled that vision in God's power and using God's resources. These outlined preaching manuscripts of Nehemiah were written and delivered by Gregory Lund. The approach is solidly biblical, and the sermons expositional in nature. This book may be used as a commentary, for sermon preparation, or for group or individual Bible study.
Download or read book A Leadership Development Project Design for Financial Stability and Missional Momentum at the Hnw Sda Church written by Dr. Richard M. White CPA and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2019-07-22 with total page 158 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This project document explored the Houston Northwest Seventh-day Adventist Church’s lack of evangelistic strategies and leadership development. In addition to a community demographical surveys and a spiritual health assessment evaluation, a series of contemporary evangelistic methods and strategies were deemed the best antidote for the problems of the church. This study also took into account the church’s demographics and their culture of origin, religious convictions, racial makeup, traditional practices, and economic conditions. In order to develop these methods and strategies, this project used the examples set forth by the Old Testament model on revitalized worship, the example of King Hezekiah, the New Testament model on leadership, and the example of Jesus Christ to his disciples. This mandate notes that once leaders are led by the Holy Spirit to bring the people of God back to worship, they must proclaim the advent of Jesus Christ. In addition, leaders should, as Jesus did, teach members how to become steward leaders. They should teach members on how to use their spiritual gifts, talents, and skills to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ. Finally, church leaders should develop members into disciples and church leaders themselves.

Download or read book Toward a Theology of Special Education written by David W. Anderson and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2012-10-31 with total page 282 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Professor, mentor, author, disability advocate, seminar leader around the worldDr. David Anderson corralled his many talents and worldwide experiences to author this important book. The volume should prove invaluable to Christians concerned about disabilities, especially teachers. Without flinching, Dr. Anderson tackles the tough issues: How could a good and benevolent God permit disabled children? Are disabilities the result of sin? How does a Christian teacher of the disabled differ from secular counterparts? Especially helpful is his emphasis on the reflective teacher integrating faith and learning. Certainly this is a volume that belongs on the bookshelves of anyone concerned with disabilities. Steven A. Kaatz PhD, Graduate Programs in Special Education, Bethel University, St. Paul, Minnesota I have had the privilege of traveling with Dr. Anderson as he has taught the concepts addressed in this book to educators, pastors, and parents in a variety of countries. Ive seen the material come alive as leaders discover the importance of thinking Christianly about disability. This book has the potential of impacting all readers in similar ways. Dr. Anderson challenges all of us to come to grips with a biblical worldview and then to live it out within our spheres of influence. Toward a Theology of Special Education thus encourages all readers to think Christianly about disability. Such thinking will then motivate us to care with Gods care and to serve with Gods concern for justice and compassion. Dr. Richard Schoenert, pastor emeritus, Calvary Church, Roseville, Minnesota
