Book The Meshk Technique for Alzheimer s Disease

Download or read book The Meshk Technique for Alzheimer s Disease written by Mohammad Seyedielmabad and published by Austin Macauley Publishers. This book was released on 2023-05-26 with total page 112 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is the output of a fundamental study that investigates human memory from a comprehensive perspective. The author’s interest in discovering the structure and function of complex systems and providing simple and inexpensive solutions to the challenges facing humans led him to focus his research on human memory. As a result, his research has created a new insight into the structure and function of memory in humans called Meshk theory. The word Meshk in Kurdish means brain. Kurdish is the only living language in the world that has extensively preserved its ancient Sumerian roots over thousands of years. The book breaks down the complicated scientific and biological concepts associated with human memory into a more understandable way. It also describes in detail the theory of Meshk and the technique developed based on its concepts for the prevention and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. The structure discovered for human memory in the theory called Human Memory Strand (HMS), as a super-DNA structure with extraordinary regenerative ability, is a turning point in the prevention and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, especially Alzheimer’s. In this way, based on HMS, a simple, cost-free, and practical method called Meshk technique has been developed to restore memory information. The technique can be used effectively for all people to prevent Alzheimer’s disease as well as to retrieve memory for people at any stage of the disease. The Meshk theory has been nominated for several international awards, including the Think Tank Awards 2021 and the AAIC 2022 Blas Frangione Early Career Achievement Award.

Book Handbook of Intervention and Alzheimer s Disease

Download or read book Handbook of Intervention and Alzheimer s Disease written by C.A. Raji and published by IOS Press. This book was released on 2024-02-22 with total page 768 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It is almost 120 years since Alzheimer’s disease (AD) was first reported, and the concept of managing some of the modifiable risk factors associated with the disease has been present from the outset. Intervening to manage risk factors as a way of tackling AD is not new, but optimizing brain health as a way of minimizing risk and maximizing the potential benefits of revolutionary new treatments for AD is becoming increasingly important. This book, the Handbook of Intervention and Alzheimer’s Disease, presents 47 papers exploring factors which may either inspire or inform future treatment and clinical trials. While novel interventions such as anti-amyloid immunotherapy present great opportunities, they may also increase the risk of brain bleeds and edema, which in turn may lead to adverse clinical outcomes. Such adverse outcomes are demonstrably more likely to occur in persons with poor brain health, so improved management of the risk factors which make up the AD preventome will also minimize the risks associated with such novel therapies. The papers in this volume can therefore be thought of as offering insight into those factors that can optimize brain health or providing key insights into interventions which may achieve such outcomes. Together with its companion volume on prevention, the book provides a comprehensive overview of strategies for tackling Alzheimer’s disease, and will be of interest to all those working in the field. Cover illustration: Improved hypoperfusion (resolving blue colors) on ASL MRI Z-score maps superimposed on structural MRI scans at baseline and one year in a PET amyloid-positive research participant with cognitive complaints undergoing one year of multi-domain personalized brain health interventions (vascular disease management, dietary optimization, sustained physical activity etc.). Permission to use this figure was granted both by the study P.I. Dr. David Merrill, MD, PhD, of the Pacific Neuroscience Institute and the research participant.

Download or read book Treatment of Dementias written by Edwin M. Meyer and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2012-12-06 with total page 526 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Alzheimer's disease is one the foremost health problems facing every society fortunate enough to attain a level of medical care that ensures an average lifespan of over 70 years of age. The cause of the disease remains unknown, and no single therapeutic approach has yet been found highly efficacious. Indeed, as the complexity of its effects on brain neuronal systems becomes elucidated, the concept emerges that Alzheimer's disease may be an umbrella term for multiple Alzheimer's-type syndromes that can be differentiated based on etiology (hereditary versus sporadic), neurochemical deficits, and extent of pathology. Whether one or more disease processes is involved, it seems increasingly unlikely that any single drug will provide efficacious relief across the broad spectrum of symptoms reflected in large subject populations. Rational therapeutic approaches may yield long term amelioration of many symptoms in selected groups of patients; and individual symptoms may be ameliorated in larger populations. Multiple approaches may be combined to optimize therapeutic effects. For example, a variety of approaches remain focused on restoration of cholinergic neurodegeneration and enhancing cholinergic neurotransmission, whereas other approaches attempt to retard the of the brain that occurs during Alzheimer's disease. Chapters cover continuous degeneration topics from growth factor secretion of proteases, which could modify amyloid processing, to neuronal gene delivery using viral vectors. The breadth and thoroughness of the chapters truly embrace a broad spectrurn of models, pathological mechanisms and therapeutic approaches.

Book Alzheimer s Disease in the Middle aged

Download or read book Alzheimer s Disease in the Middle aged written by Hyun Sil Jeong and published by Nova Publishers. This book was released on 2008 with total page 402 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Dementia is a brain disorder that seriously affects a person's ability to carry out daily activities. The most common form of dementia among older people is Alzheimer's disease (AD), which involves the parts of the brain that control thought, memory, and language. Age is the most important known risk factor for AD. The number of people with the disease doubles every 5 years beyond age 65. AD is a slow disease, starting with mild memory problems and ending with severe brain damage. The course the disease takes and how fast changes occur vary from person to person. On average, AD patients live from 8 to 10 years after they are diagnosed, though the disease can last for as many as 20 years. Current research is aimed at understanding why AD occurs and who is at greatest risk of developing it, improving the accuracy of diagnosis and the ability to identify those at risk, discovering, developing, and testing new treatments, and discovering treatments for behavioral problems in patients with AD. This new book gathers state-of-the-art research from leading scientists throughout the world which offers important information on understanding the underlying causes and discovering the most effective treatments for Alzheimer's Disease.
