Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Continuing from where John O'Loughlin's previous title, The Un-paralleled Logic of Om-niscience (1923–24) leaves off, this title is divided, with 'Books 1A/B', into two versions, the first of which, dubbed 'Unhyphenated Version', is followed by an 'Unhyphenated Addendum', whilst the second of which, dubbed 'Hyphenated Version', is likewise duly followed by a 'Hyphenated Addendum', both of which are the exact thematic replica of Book 1A except for the fact that all the terms which Mr O'Loughlin preferred not to hyphenate in the one have, as noted, been duly hyphenated in the other, thereby providing a relatively conventional text for those readers who would struggle with the unhyphenated version and its addendum which, according to the author, is ntended for the 'radically tight' rather than the 'conventionally loose' who, even if not invariably female, nonetheless deserve access, via 'Book 1B', to a relatively more accessible text, the bulk of which is, indeed, concerned with what he describes as the Lie of a Living God, even if the addenda to each version of the main text happens to be more comprehensively exacting in its approach to a well-nigh exhaustive list of terminological parallels such that, reminiscent of Arthur Koestler, 'sum-up' his overall philosophy.

Book Lies We Believe About God

Download or read book Lies We Believe About God written by Wm. Paul Young and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2017-03-07 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From the author of the bestselling novel The Shack and the New York Times bestsellers Cross Roads and Eve comes a compelling, conversational exploration of twenty-eight assumptions about God—assumptions that just might be keeping us from experiencing His unconditional, all-encompassing love. In his wildly popular novels, Wm. Paul Young portrayed the Triune God in ways that challenged our thinking—sometimes upending long-held beliefs, but always centered in the eternal, all-encompassing nature of God’s love. Now, in Wm. Paul Young’s first nonfiction book, he invites us to revisit our assumptions about God—this time using the Bible, theological discussion, and personal anecdotes. Paul encourages us to think through beliefs we’ve presumed to be true and consider whether some might actually be false. Expounding on the compassion fans felt from the “Papa” portrayed in The Shack—now a major film starring Sam Worthington and Octavia Spencer—Paul encourages you to think anew about important issues including sin, religion, hell, politics, identity, creation, human rights, and helping us discover God’s deep and abiding love.

Until we exchange what's false for what's real, we will never experience being fully alive, fully human, and fully free. Unpacking the power of knowing our true identity in Christ, Winship takes us on a journey of telling ourselves the truth, changing our mindsets, and experiencing actual life transformation that leads to radical courage in the face of all that life throws at us. With humor, clarity, and real-life practicality, Living Fearless is your invitation to listen closely to what God is trying to say to you about himself, about the person he created you to be--and also about all those other people he created and loves. Book FINDING THE ONLY TRUE LIVING GOD

Download or read book FINDING THE ONLY TRUE LIVING GOD written by Y. James and published by Blue Rose Publishers. This book was released on 2022-12-01 with total page 78 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I wonder and surprise about the way God led me to write this book because it started with him as I and my brother were sitting together in my home to write a small leaflet concerning the way of freedom from the punishment of our sins. I had a burden in my heart that most people in the world are being deceived by believing and loving so many lies there by people are wasting their only one earthy lives and dying with many sorrows without being forgiven of their sins through trusting in Jesus Christ name because he is the only one who has the authority on earth to forgive sins of theworld. They are living as slaves to their sins because of their love for sins this is not the way how God wanted people to live as slaves but he wanted all people to know the only truth which sets people free from their sins through trusting and loving the truth and live as sons and daughters of the living God who loves the world with great love. He doesn’t want any one to perish with their sins this is why he sent his only son whom he loves with an everlasting love to die on our behalf for the sins of the world this happened more than 2000 years before yet most people’s sins are not forgiven and they are still living in their sins without having any freedom from their slavary lives.

Book Heart of the Living God

Download or read book Heart of the Living God written by Michael G. Maness and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2004-06-23 with total page 730 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Maness asks us to tie up our sneakers, for we are going to have some fun as we hike into the Grand Canyon of Love. Love is the treasure of life. It is Love all the way. Nothing else really matters outside of Love. Best of all, our Love will only get better in heaven. The treasured ability to have loving relationships is Gods gift to us in our Imago Deithe image of God we all share. Likewise, what we know of Love this side of heaven is but a dusty image of what God experiences. I want to get personally involved, says Maness. Can we have a free-will relationship with anyone, even God, if all of what we do and think is settled? I dont think so. Love is greater than that, and I shall prove that, and that is indeed a Grand Canyon. Manes brings some of the brain-splitting complexities of this to light with good humor, introduces dynamic foreknowledge, and challenges Classical Theisms avoidance of Love. And he exposes some foul play in the process. Thats the first half of the book. For those wanting to strike out on their own (wanting to see more of the depth and diversity of the Grand Canyon), the second half contains reviews of about 60 major authors, a 4,000+ Abysmal Bibliography, and a huge index to just about everything in the book. Maness has thrown a gauntlet before the Classical Theists. So tie up your sneakers and take a hike with Michael G. Maness as he walks with you into the Grand Canyon. see more at www.PreciousHeart.net

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 'Since the middle of the twentieth century,' writes Elizabeth Johnson, 'there has been a renaissance of new insights into God in the Christian tradition. On different continents, under pressure from historical events and social conditions, people of faith have glimpsed the living God in fresh ways. It is not that a wholly different God is discovered from the One believed in by previous generations. Christian faith does not believe in a new God but, finding itself in new situations, seeks the presence of God there. Aspects long-forgotten are brought into new relationships with current events, and the depths of divine compassion are appreciated in ways not previously imagined.' This book sets out the fruit of these discoveries. The first chapter describes Johnson's point of departure and the rules of engagement, with each succeeding chapter distilling a discrete idea of God. Featured are transcendental, political, liberation, feminist, black, Hispanic, interreligious, and ecological theologies, ending with the particular Christian idea of the one God as Trinity.

Each chapter is followed with a Nugget of Truth - a brief valuation to encourage the reader. The author brings the reader into her life experiences, “I came to realize that His (God’s) intention (for the writing) was not just for the reader, but it was for me first. The truth of the matter was that I was also one who was able to put on my best performance (living a lie) of ‘everything is just fine here.’ During my soul-searching I found that I had some major issues that needed to be dealt with…” The author mirrors her own life experiences to motivate each reader to ultimately embrace change. The second chapter probes an explanation of a lie and the definition of truth. Coming Into the Knowledge of Truth takes the reader through Scriptures moving forward to The Errors of the Church. The stories are filled with the hope that one will embark upon a personal quest for God. It is here where each reader can come to terms with life and move forward. The Scripture references are not complex and move readers to a level of accountability to God. The Truth About Living A Lie encourages each reader to search for a deeper understanding of God. Once these chapters are ingested, the reader will find the last chapter, The End of Self—The Beginning of God concludes that to embrace change one must embrace truth. The Truth About Living A Lie is that one is not living one’s best life.

Book Man Temple of the Living God

Download or read book Man Temple of the Living God written by Roberto Pla and published by Sirio S.A.1990. This book was released on with total page 864 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Our one and only real purpose in writing this work has been to awaken love for the whole Christ, and when we speak of the whole Christ, we are referring both to the Christ who died for mankind in Jerusalem more than two thousand years ago, love for whom has been encouraged by manifest exegesis since the beginning of the Christian era, and at the same time, to the Christ preexisting and eternal. Although both are one and the same being, if we speak of the whole Christ, we cannot disregard the inseparable Christ who, from the beginning, has lain forgotten, unknown, crucified within every man, and who is only waiting to reveal his immortal, divine presence, invoked by love and faith. Then the true beatitude of his resurrection will arise in every man. (Pag.38)* The purpose of this work is to awaken in some men awareness that the canonical New Testament texts express a dual hermeneutic, and exegesis makes it possible, once one has assimilated a first reading, which we shall call manifest, to undertake a second reading, one that will be more difficult to apprehend, in order to find through it a new meaning which the Christian hagiographers called hidden, or secret. (Pag.28)*

Book The Living God and the Fullness of Life

Download or read book The Living God and the Fullness of Life written by Jürgen Moltmann and published by Westminster John Knox Press. This book was released on 2015-11-06 with total page 232 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Modern humanity has accepted a truncated, impoverished definition of life. Focusing solely on material realities, we have forgotten that joy, purpose, and meaning come from a life that is both immersed in the temporal and alive to the transcendent. We have, in other words, ceased to live in God. In this book, renowned theologian Jürgen Moltmann shows us what that life of joy and purpose looks like. Describing how we came to live in a world devoid of the ultimate, he charts a way back to an intimate connection with the biblical God. He counsels that we adopt a "theology of life," an orientation that sees God at work in both the mundane and the extraordinary and that pushes us to work for a world that fully reflects the life of its Creator. Moltmann offers a telling critique of the shallow values of consumerist society and provides a compelling rationale for why spiritual sensibilities and encounter with God must lie at the heart of any life that seeks to be authentically human.

Book The Birth of the Living God

Download or read book The Birth of the Living God written by Ana-Marie Rizzuto and published by University of Chicago Press. This book was released on 2011-09-28 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Utilizing both clinical material based on the life histories of twenty patients and theoretical insights from the works of Freud, Erikson, Fairbairn, and Winnicott, Ana-Maria Rizzuto examines the origin, development, and use of our God images. Whereas Freud postulated that belief in God is based on a child's idea of his father, Rizzuto argues that the God representation draws from a variety of sources and is a major element in the fabric of one's view of self, others, and the world.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "In Paul, Apostle of the Living God, Mark Goodwin examines the tradition of living God language in biblical, Jewish, and early Christian sources and then demonstrates the ways in which Paul adopted this tradition in his own letters. As he explores Paul's writings, Goodwin concludes that the epithet makes Paul's wider argument in 2 Corinthians 2:7-14 clearer and more coherent. In the end, Goodwin says, Paul's use of the living God tradition helps us to appreciate Paul's understanding of himself as an apostle of the living God, commissioned and sent out to bring new life to the Gentiles."--BOOK JACKET.Title Summary field provided by Blackwell North America, Inc.
