The relationship thereby established has no significance except as regards the act done. That is to say: with respect to that act, the one doing it is a promoter and subject to all the rights and liabilities which that term implies; but if he should subsequently abandon the enterprise he could not be held for acts done after his connection with the project had ceased, on the broad ground that he was a promoter of the company.
