THIS IS NOT THE LATEST 3RD EDITION !!!! This is the ultimate cold case, a 120 year old mystery hidden in plain sight. This book pieces together the evidence that William James Shepherd was most likely the eldest son of King George V. The case is built-up and includes clues that lead to a clear path forward - readied for a compelling conclusion and full resolution to the mystery. This is a story of intrigue and challenge about a man who left enduring clues during his lifetime about his origins. They were left in a subliminal manner, and at times it was like participating in a movie somewhat like the "Da Vinci Code," with clue after clue being uncovered together with their meaning. The evidence is presented about William Shepherd and how he mysteriously arrives in Australia via unassisted paid passage on a ship having just turned 17, with enough money in his pocket that enables him to purchase a farm within a year. He also arrives with the skills to be able to play the Double Bass and then goes on to become Australia's No. 1 performer. And yet in 1901, just six years earlier he is Census listed as a "Pauper" (age 10) in a London Workhouse orphanage straight out of the pages of the book "Oliver Twist." William throughout his life, due to his looks and mannerisms, is often compared to King George V's acknowledged sons - King Edward VIII and King George VI (i.e. the man portrayed in the movie "The King's Speech"). DNA tests are used to set a test to prove the link. The suspense as to whether it is true or not - and the patience needed to try to obtain a DNA match; makes for a very interesting twist. So based on the evidence collected and presented in this book ....... Was William James Shepherd indeed "The King's Son"? Please read on ....... The Answer to "The Question" is in the Book.

Book excerpt: This is the ultimate cold case, a 125 year old mystery hidden in plain sight. This book pieces the evidence together that William James Shepherd was closely related to a member of the British Royal Family. The case is built-up and includes clues that lead to a clear path forward - readied for a compelling conclusion and resolution to the mystery. If you like puzzles and a story that twists and turns with lots of detail - then you have the right book. If you like analysis with just a touch of mystery, then you also have the right book. If you want an "easy read" book, you may have the wrong book. This book is about determination to get to the bottom of a family rumor and mystery. This is a story of intrigue and challenge about a man who left enduring clues during his lifetime about his origins. The clues appear to have been left in a subliminal manner, and at times it was like participating in a movie somewhat like the "Da Vinci Code", with clue after clue being uncovered together with their meaning. This book is about how my maternal Grandfather William James Shepherd mysteriously arrives in Australia in the early 1900's, with the skills to be able to play the Double Bass and then goes on to become Australia's No. 1 performer. And yet in 1901, he is Census listed as a "Pauper Inmate" (age 10) in a London Workhouse orphanage - straight out of the pages of the book "Oliver Twist".William throughout his life, due to his looks and mannerisms, is often compared to various members of the then British Royal Family born in the late 1800's / early 1900's.Even today some of William's descendants continue to have comparisons made with various members of the current British Royal Family.DNA tests are used to set a test to prove the link, including the invention of a system and process that enables the parsing of atDNA in to the component ancestors of the DNA tester. It is a system and process that DNA testing companies may be interested to implement as a tool - refer Chapter 8.3.The suspense in determining what is true and what is false - together with the patience needed to try to obtain DNA matches, makes for very interesting twists and turns, as the story progresses. So based on the evidence collected and presented in this book ....... Was William James Shepherd indeed related to the British Royal Family? The Puzzle as to who my Grandfather's paternal family line was is ultimately solved in the new Parts Four and Five of this 3rd Edition of this book. It was solved after years of part time investigation and the initial 1st and 2nd Editions of this book being published. This 3rd Edition proves William James Shepherd's close relationship to the British Royal Family, as my Grandfather is shown to be a maleline descendant of the House of "xyz" - refer Chapters 8 onwards for the answer. If you have previously read the 2nd Edition of this book, you may wish to skip forward to Chapter 7, and pick up the story from there with all its new material. The 2nd Edition was 200 pages whereas this 3rd Edition is 550 pages - noting they are small 9" x 6" pages. As a result of this investigation additional Royal Haplogroups have now been discovered and are documented in Chapter 10. There are some major surprises. This 3rd Edition is now available for the wider Genealogical Community to review; critique and hopefully agree with my conclusions regarding who William James Shepherd's father was.Brad Michael Little

Book The Evidence of Things Not Seen

Download or read book The Evidence of Things Not Seen written by James Baldwin and published by Henry Holt and Company. This book was released on 2023-01-17 with total page 99 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Over twenty-two months in 1979 and 1981 nearly two dozen children were unspeakably murdered in Atlanta despite national attention and outcry; they were all Black. James Baldwin investigated these murders, the Black administration in Atlanta, and Wayne Williams, the Black man tried for the crimes. Because there was only evidence to convict Williams for the murders of two men, the children's cases were closed, offering no justice to the families or the country. Baldwin's incisive analysis implicates the failures of integration as the guilt party, arguing, "There could be no more devastating proof of this assault than the slaughter of the children." As Stacey Abrams writes in her foreword, "The humanity of black children, of black men and women, of black lives, has ever been a conundrum for America. Forty years on, Baldwin's writing reminds us that we have never resolved the core query: Do black lives matter? Unequivocally, the moral answer is yes, but James Baldwin refuses such rhetorical comfort." In this, his last book, by excavating American race relations Baldwin exposes the hard-to-face ingrained issues and demands that we all reckon with them.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The exciting field of biblical archaeology has revolutionized our understanding of the Bible -- and no one has done more to popularise this vast store of knowledge than Israel Finkelstein and Neil Silberman, who revealed what we now know about when and why the Bible was first written in The Bible Unearthed. Now, with David and Solomon, they do nothing less than help us to understand the sacred kings and founding fathers of western civilization. David and his son Solomon are famous in the Bible for their warrior prowess, legendary loves, wisdom, poetry, conquests, and ambitious building programmes. Yet thanks to archaeology's astonishing finds, we now know that most of these stories are myths. Finkelstein and Silberman show us that the historical David was a bandit leader in a tiny back-water called Jerusalem, and how -- through wars, conquests and epic tragedies like the exile of the Jews in the centuries before Christ and the later Roman conquest -- David and his successor were reshaped into mighty kings and even messiahs, symbols of hope to Jews and Christians alike in times of strife and despair and models for the great kings of Europe. A landmark work of research and lucid scholarship by two brilliant luminaries, David and Solomon recasts the very genesis of western history in a whole new light.

Book The Justiciarship in England 1066 1232

Download or read book The Justiciarship in England 1066 1232 written by Francis James West and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2005 with total page 324 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: At the height of his power and influence the justiciar was the king's chief political and judicial officer, superintending the administrative machinery and acting as regent in the king's absence abroad. He was also a feudal lord or bishop; and the study of the careers of the chief justiciars, as soldiers and politicians, judges and financiers, throws light on the workings of feudal society and on the technical administrative means by which royal power was effectively exercised. Dr West traces the history of the office from the first need for the delegation of royal power under William 1 until the Anglo-Norman dominion broke up and government became too complicated. As an administrative post it attained its greatest importance in the formative periods of administrative development under Henry 1 and later under Henry 11. Unlike the offices of sheriff and chancellor the justiciarship has never been systematically examined. Dr West's book is a pioneer account of the most important office under the king and an examination of a central theme of English constitutional and administrative history.

Book 80 Old Testament Characters of World History Chronological Historical and Archaeological Evidence

Download or read book 80 Old Testament Characters of World History Chronological Historical and Archaeological Evidence written by Gerard Gertoux and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2016-02-27 with total page 363 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Despite the fact that the name of many characters mentioned in the Old Testament, like David, King of Israel, have been recently confirmed by archaeology as well as their epoch and the events in which they were involved, most archaeologists continue to deny the historicity of the Bible they view as pious fiction or a mythical account. They argue that the major events in the Bible such as the victory of Abraham against Chedorlaomer, an unknown king of Elam around 2000 BCE, the victory of Moses against an unknown Pharaoh around 1500 BCE or the victory of Esther, an unknown Persian Queen, against an unknown vizier of Xerxes, never existed because they left absolutely no evidence. They also explain that according to what we know today, these events could not have occurred. These logical arguments are impressive but a precise chronological analysis based on absolute dates, coupled with a rigorous historical investigation, shows that all those major events really took place at the dates and places indicated.
