Book The Influence of Teacher s Job Satisfaction on Students Performance

Download or read book The Influence of Teacher s Job Satisfaction on Students Performance written by Hui Gu and published by . This book was released on 2020 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It is essential to know how teacher's satisfaction affects the performance of students. Using the data of the 2016 Annual Monitoring of the Academic Quality of Students in Basic Education in Jiangsu of China, this study applied a hierarchical linear model to analyze the impact of teacher's satisfaction on the academic performance of elementary students. Results showed that both the self-realized satisfaction with the education work and the relationship between colleagues and students displayed a significant effect on students' performance, whereas the satisfaction with the supervisors and administrative, the rationality of the payment, and the environment for further development did not show a significant impact on students' performance. So based on these data, we suggest that it is critical to create a better self-realized condition for teachers to realize a good relationship with colleagues, and build up an incentive system for them to better stimulate their teaching enthusiasm.

Book The Impact of Extracurricular Activity on Teacher Job Satisfaction

Download or read book The Impact of Extracurricular Activity on Teacher Job Satisfaction written by James P. Moran (Teacher) and published by . This book was released on 2017 with total page 190 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Student involvement in extracurricular activities (ECA) has been studied in the field of educational research in regard to its impact on academic achievement. This research reviewed the extant research regarding student achievement. In addition, it expands upon the limited research on the relationship these activities may have in regard to the teachers and staff who oversee them, and how this supervision and involvement of ECA impacted those teachers' job satisfaction. The findings of the current investigation indicate that supervision of ECA can have a positive impact on educational professionals. Additionally, the research has shown to substantiate positive impacts on teacher longevity, organizational commitment, job performance, and job satisfaction for those individuals who coach and/or advise these activities. Coupled with the research indicating a positive impact on academic achievement from participation in ECA for students, these findings support the prioritization of ECA by school districts and states, so that creative fiscal ways can be found to sustain such programs that have, in recent times, been eliminated due to budget cuts.
