Book The Importance of the Jew in God s Overall Plan

Download or read book The Importance of the Jew in God s Overall Plan written by Jack A. Albert and published by . This book was released on 2023-10-10 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The title of my book basically says what my book is about: Most Gentile believers in Jesus Christ don't know how important the Jews have been, and are, in God's plan for His creation. Many don't realize that the one they have put their faith in (Jesus) is a Jew. As a Gentile believer in Jesus/Yeshua the Christ/Messiah of God's chosen people Israel (the Jews), my study of God's written Word over many years has caused me to see how important the Jew is in God's plan for His creation. The majority of my brothers and sisters in Christ do not understand how important the Jew is in God's "eternal purpose." I started to come to this understanding in the early 1960's. It is my prayer that as many peoples as possible come to see how much God loves His chosen people, the Jews.

Book excerpt: America has a definite role in God´s plan. Since 9-1-1 Bible scholars have been frantically searching for this revelation. This simple yet so very important purpose is explained in simple, easy to understand language. The unbreakable, everlasting covenants of God to his people in Genesis must be understood to understand the Bible as a whole. The first covenant is Genesis 1:14 providing day, night, signs and seasons used by farmers, fishermen, military, meteorologist, everyone who wishes to plan their daily activities. Genesis covers the formation of the universe and everything in it. The birth of the Arab and Jewish nations and God´s covenants with them throug Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac and Jacob, ending with Joseph and the Twelve Tribes of Israel. Why Cain´s offering was rejected is explained and God´s provision for the redemption of mankind. The Old Testament leaders from Moses to Jesus Christ. The Old testament foretells the New Testament and the New is the fulfillment of the Old. Neither is complete without the other. God always had a remnant he preserved to fulfill his covenants with man. This remnant filled the gap from the Bible to now. They survived the various religions and persecutions to fulfill their destiny. Included is a brief history of America´s beginning. Adults need to review our history and the youth need to see God at work in out history. Especially now that God is slowly being removed from our history, God help us!

Book Salvation Is from the Jews

Download or read book Salvation Is from the Jews written by Roy H. Schoeman and published by Ignatius Press. This book was released on 2019-04-15 with total page 402 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book traces the role of Judaism and the Jewish people in God's plan for the salvation of mankind, from Abraham through the Second Coming, as revealed by the Catholic faith and by a thoughtful examination of history. It will give Christians a deeper understanding of Judaism, both as a religion in itself and as a central component of Christian salvation. To Jews it reveals the incomprehensible importance, nobility and glory that Judaism most truly has. It examines the unique and central role Judaism plays in the destiny of the world. It documents that throughout history attacks on Jews and Judaism have been rooted not in Christianity, but in the most anti-Christian of forces. Areas addressed include: the Messianic prophecies in Jewish scripture; the anti-Christian roots of Nazi anti-Semitism; the links between Nazism and Arab anti-Semitism; the theological insights of major Jewish converts; and the role of the Jews in the Second Coming. "Perplexed by controversies new and old about the destiny of the Jewish people? Read this book by a Jew who became a Catholic for a well-written, provocative, ground-breaking account. Some of the answers most have never heard before." Ronda Chervin, Ph.D., Hebrew-Catholic

Book Salvation is from the Jews John 4 22

Download or read book Salvation is from the Jews John 4 22 written by Aaron Milavec and published by Liturgical Press. This book was released on 2007 with total page 228 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Growing up in an ethnic suburb in Cleveland, Aaron Milavec was an impressionable adolescent whose religious and cultural influences made it natural for him to pity, blame, and despise Jews. All of that began to change in 1955 when Mr. Martin, a Jewish merchant, hired Milavec as a stock boy. Milavec's initial anxieties over working for a Jew surprisingly gave way to profound personal admiration. This, in turn, plunged Milavec into a troubling theological dilemma: How could God consign Mr. Martin to eternal hellfire due to his ancestral role in the death of Jesus when it was clear that Mr. Martin would not harm me, a Christian, even in small ways? This book is not for the faint-hearted. Most Christians imagine that the poison of anti-Judaism has been largely eliminated. In contrast, Milavec reveals how this poison has gone underground--disfiguring not only the role of Israel in God's plan of salvation but also horribly twisting the faith, the forgiveness, and the salvation that Christians find through Jesus Christ. This painful realization serves as the necessary first step for our healing. At each step of the way, Milavec's sure hand builds bridges of mutual understanding that enable both Christians and Jews to cross the chasm of distrust and distortion that has infected both church and synagogue over the centuries. In the end, Milavec securely brings his readers to that place where Rabbinic Judaism and Christianity can again be admired as sister religions intimately united to one other in God's drama of salvation.

  • Pages : 225 pages

Download or read book Jews and Christians written by Michael Goldberg and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2001-10-05 with total page 225 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This fascinating volume offers bold new insights into what it means to be a Christian or a Jew. We are Christians or Jews, Michael Goldberg maintains, not principally because we embrace different creeds, but because we have gained an understanding of the world from one of two distinct master stories - for Jews, the Exodus; for Christians, the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. The author demonstrates what each master story ultimately reveals about who God is, what humanity is, and how humanity should therefore act in God's world.

Download or read book God s Will and Testament written by DANIEL. DALEY and published by . This book was released on 2021-09-15 with total page 408 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Hebrew Bible expresses the Israelite belief that the Israelites were the people of God uniquely chosen from among all peoples of the earth, and that this status as elected people guaranteed them certain privileges not granted to other peoples. One of these privileges was the right to an inheritance granted by God himself--a birthright that provided a sense of God's protection and an awareness of Israel's relationship to God as a special nation. Details regarding the nature of that inheritance--what it is, who receives it, and how inheritance is obtained--appear in every strata and section of the Hebrew Scriptures, and this trajectory continues across many Second Temple Jewish texts. Yet surprisingly little scholarly attention has been focused on inheritance as a unique and crucial concept for Israelite and Jewish religious life and belief. This paucity of attention to inheritance concepts also extends to Matthew's Gospel, where inheritance terms appear on four occasions. With God's Will and Testament, Daniel Daley argues that these passages play a vital role in Matthew's overall narrative, especially concerning Matthew's depiction of true discipleship and relations between Jew and Gentile. Daley further demonstrates that numerous Jewish traditions antecedent to Matthew's Gospel influenced the writer's theology and linguistic choices, often in ways not previously appreciated by interpreters. As a relational term, inheritance signifies the beneficiary's relationship with God: because God is a father, he gives an inheritance, and because he is an eternal father, the inheritance takes on eschatological connotations to provide a hope for his children into the future. This concept is a thread that binds Matthew and his community to a wider Jewish discourse about what it means to be the people of God. In Matthew's Gospel, this inheritance, this identity as God's elect, belongs to the ideal disciple, who commits to Jesus and his vision for greater righteousness.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: God's redemptive plan for the world started with the nation of Israel and the Jewish people. So how are Christians grafted into this plan, and where does that leave Jews? Many Christians have a desire to know more about Israel, the Jewish people, and how they as Christians fit into God's redemptive plan. This study guide is a "crash course" in what the Bible says about the Jewish people, why they are important in God's eyes, and our Christian responsibility toward them. It is my desire that through this study guide, God will set your heart on fire, as he has mine, for the people who are referred to as "the apple of his eye." Todd Morehead

Book excerpt: Originally published in 1890, eminent Hebrew-Christian author, David Baron, presents Biblical prophecies which foretell the dispersion of the Jews among the Gentiles, and argues compellingly for their return to the land of Israel, again with prophecies. He does all this many decades before Israel became a nation. This book is likely one of the first ever written on the Jews returning to Israel. Then also discusses the "Israel and the Church" issue, and attacks Supersessionists and other theologians who "Spiritualize" scripture, thereby removing Israel from God's plan. He asserts the necessity to evangelize Jews, and was part of a missionary endeavor to the Jews. Though Baron believed that many individual Jews would accept Jesus as their Messiah, he did not believe that Messianic Jews would become large in number until the years immediately before the Return of Christ. This is the 5th edition, which has slight updates from the first edition. All text is here that was in the fifth edition, but the text has been slightly edited to update the spelling of some words and improved formatting. The original edition had an appendix listing many of the author's missionary associates, but the 5th edition does not.

Book Has the Church Replaced Israel

Download or read book Has the Church Replaced Israel written by Michael J. Vlach and published by B&H Publishing Group. This book was released on 2010 with total page 234 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The relationship between Israel and the church continues to be a controversial topic led by this question: Does the church replace, supersede, or fulfill the nation of Israel in God's plan, or will Israel be saved and restored with a unique identity and role? In Has the Church Replaced Israel?, author Michael J. Vlach evaluates the doctrine of replacement theology (also known as supersessionism) down through history but ultimately argues in favor of the nonsupersessionist position. Thoroughly vetting the most important hermeneutical and theological issues related to the Israel/church relationship, Vlach explains why, "there are compelling scriptural reasons in both testaments to believe in a future salvation and restoration of the nation Israel."
